I have tried my boots on and they fit very well. I can't wait to try them in some wet and snowy weather!

I received my Bean Boots and I love, love, love them. I normally wear a size 9 and I ordered the size 8 as instructed and they fit perfectly. I decided on the blue and burgundy color and it is really nice. I wanted boots that were perfect for when the winter was winding down. Just something to keep my feet dry and not too warm. They were easy to get on and aren't stiff at all. Thank you Lynette.

I love the boots! I needed a pair of boots to wear on hikes and working around the farm and they're perfect. I can tell the quality of workmanship is very good. I am very happy with them.

Wish I hadn't waited so many years to decide to order them. I ordered a size 7, as I normally wear an 8 or 8 1/2. These are perfect with a medium weight sock, or the Bean rag socks, or even their heavier weight sock. These boots stretch a little bit over time....I did try the size 8 with their heavy boot sock and they were too big so had to return. I loved these so much in the burgundy leather and navy that I ordered another pair in the 8 inch tall size in the dark ash. The boots are very comfortable and it was so nice that they arrived just in time for our crazy Northern California rain! I appreciate the quality and thank your master boot maker Juanita for doing a wonderful job! It is so nice to wear a boot handcrafted and made in the USA. Looking forward to many years of wear. Bean customer service is top notch! I've been a faithful customer for over 30 years.

The Bean Boots are the best by far, comfortable, fit well with thicker socks and have great support while hiking around. Have had multiple styles and each one is perfect!

Ordered one size smaller as per the recommendation and the length is perfect. I also ordered narrow because most shoes are too wide for me unless I'm able to get a narrow. I still need a ragg sock but that's what I would normally wear with this type of footwear.
Initially advertised as "Backordered until April." They arrived the first week of February so I only had to wait about ten days from when I ordered them! Nice surprise!
The boots are comfortable and great in slushy Adirondack conditions. "Pamela" did a wonderful job making these boots. Thank you!

I just got these boots after a long wait while they were backordered, and I love them so far!
First, the few minor downsides. I found the unusual sizing frustrating when I was ordering. I usually wear a 7.5, and I went with a 7. They feel somewhat loose but alright with my thick wool socks. I don't feel totally certain I shouldn't have gone down a size, but I'm not worried enough to consider exchanging them. Also, when I first received the boots the thick leather tongues rubbed against my ankles enough to be noticeably uncomfortable, but this has improved after wearing them a few times and beginning to break them in.
Other than that, the boots are pretty perfect. They look and feel sturdy, and they're comfortable to wear on moderate walks (haven't tried them for more than a mile or two, because at that point I'd switch to hiking boots). With one pair of wool socks, they keep my feet dry and warm at least down to about freezing. They're also surprisingly cute, for practical boots. They're less clunky than I expected them to be, so I don't feel like a dork wearing them on my commute or for casual outings.

These boots are perfect! Thank you Annie for building a great boot for me. There is no "break in" period for these boots. They feel like I've been wearing them for years right out of the box. Once again, LL Bean lives up to its excellent reputation of producing quality products.

When I first got them, they were ehhh ok. The left boot started digging into my ankle pretty bad. My ankle bone was actually bruised.
Thankfully it didn't rain for a week or two.
Tried them again on a much longer walk during a crazy downpour.
I loosened the laces on the left boot, because that's what some people said.
It worked. My feet were comfortable and had no ankle pain. Most importantly, my feet stayed dry the entire storm. I loved them so much I bought a waterproof jacket.
I want to take them on a hike but I am hesitant to have any pain. I'm also not sure if they're hiking material. Maybe a short hike first and go from there.

Very comfortable footbed. Very comfortable boot. No break-in required - comfortable right out of the box. Not nearly as hot feeling as the cheaper versions. Definitely worth the extra cost!!!
Used primarily as a wet weather boot - so far, so good. Feet still dry.

I purchased these for my daughter who is in college. She just had foot surgery and this was the first shoe that she could comfortably get into. These boots are fantastic for rainy days as well as chilly ones.

These are the most comfortable shoes ever! They are also very well made. Thank you Paul (the boot team)!!
When I initially ordered my boots they were on backorder but were delivered much sooner than promised. Just like LLBean... service above expectations.

I bought the 6" boot and am so in love with these boots. I wear a 7 and got the 6 and they are perfect. I can say enough about these boots.

I had been wanting these boot for a while and finally was going to pull the trigger until my dismay the backorder online was 2 months -ugh it would be too late -I wanted now - so I called my local LL Bean store -they did not have my size but the wonderful sales woman checked the other stores and told me I could call them - so the next Wonderful sales woman took care of me - mind you I have not had such nice customers service in such a long time and these ladies were both fantastic I must say. Anyway I think these boots are far superior to the others out there if you are looking boot to be use for what it was intended these are the boots - Definitely you have to down a size just as stated - I wear an 8 in everything and the 7 in these is perfect.
I do want to get the shearling insole so that I can wear in the snow -otherwise your feet will get cold (atleast for me -my feet get cold very easily)- even with thick socks
they are wide enough to not constrict your feet - they feel very comfortable to wear around all day - not too heavy and clunky
I was very happy when I received my boots not disappointed at all and hope they will be a long staple to my cold -wet weather attire.

Note: I am reviewing the style/fit of this shoe, not the functionality. I will update with a comment regarding how the shoe handles cold/wet weather at a future date if necessary.
I ordered the size 7/medium and they seem to be the right size for me. I wear an 8 in Frye, Sofft, and Hunter boots so I sized down an entire size. My feet are on the narrow side, but the medium width was definitely the right choice. I think a narrow would have been too narrow. The boot upper is flexible and I was able to tighten the boots around my narrow ankles with no issues. The tongue is sewn into the boot all the way around so the hole you have to stick your foot in is kind of small, but I'm pretty flexible so I didn't have any issues. When the shoes arrived I tried them on with some medium weight cotton socks as well as with thin socks and they fit comfortably with either. I'm not sure I could fit a shearling liner in this boot, but I don't live in a super cold state (Texas) so I mostly bought these shoes for fashion reasons and for use as winter rain boots.
I'd been eyeing these boots for years and finally pulled the trigger when I found the Burgundy Brown/Carbon Navy/Gum color. The leather upper is beautiful and soft. The navy is clearly blue, not close to black, so I think it looks fine to wear the boots with jeans or with black leggings. I'm partial to navy/black/brown color combos though so if you don't like navy and black together then maybe choose a different color if you typically wear black pants. I love these boots and I can't wait to wear them!

I ordered the 6" boot. as much as I like the purple grape/black combo in the 8", a 6" is better for me. glad I did, the burgundy navy combo is very attractive in its own right. a perfect reddish brown which compliments the navy boot. they arrived unlaced, so the first thing I did was apply LL Bean boot guard to the leather part before lacing. they appear very well made, no loose stiches or sloppy seams. (shout out to Bob, who made them!)
I wear a 9 in regular shoes, a 10 in athletic shoes, ordered a size 8 since I was only going to use thin socks. otherwise, a 9 would have been better with thick socks. I am hoping to get many years of use out of them.

Received my Bean boots a few days ago and I love them.....I usually wear a 6.5 to 7 so going by previous reviews, I ordered a size 6. They fit perfectly with a little room left over for socks. I also love the color (burgundy/navy). They are so attractive and I will be very happy to recommend them to anyone thinking about purchasing a pair. You will not regret it.
Thank you Patricia for making a beautiful pair of boots for me. Awesome work!!

I ordered my L.L. Bean duck boots almost 2 years ago now. The 4 month wait was rather frustrating, but totally worth it! I even received a cute keychain in the mail. As a sophomore in college, these are my go to shoes! Great for rainy, cold days on campus. They have held up great and still look brand new other than the slight wear on the heel. I was a little disappointed after wearing them so much (over two years) that a hole had worn in my insoles. After chatting with the customer service, they are sending me a new pair on insoles at no charge! I really appreciate their commitment to quality service to back their quality products. I do recommend watching the sizing videos as I ordered a size down and still have room for thicker socks if need be! LOVE my boots and L.L. Bean!

Thank you so much. The sales representative was very helpful. The boots are for my daughter who wears a size 12 and she researched to see if the 11 would fit. She recommended them and my daughter was very surprised when she opened them on Christmas. The fit great.
