These are just what I've been looking for. Sturdy and comfortable. Not to mention cute. I got the navy and brown (does look more purple and blue). I usually wear a size 7.5 shoe so I thought I'd give the 7 a try. It is about a half inch too long in the toe but with warm winter socks it fits great. I'm not sure I'd be able to get a 6 on my foot with the closed tongue on this boot.

After several trials and returns I have finally got a pair that fits. I normally wear a size 7 or 7.5. In the 6" Bean Boot I need a size 6 to wear with medium weight socks. Everyone knows these are great boots - the key it finding the right size.

I am a teacher that has afternoon car pool duty. Today, we started receiving the outer bands of Tropical Storm Irma during carpool. Umbrellas were turned inside out, hoods blew off and my pants were soaked completely through. The only part of me that was dry after being out in the deluge for an hour? My feet, thanks to these boots. Further, I wore them all day long without sitting and my feet don't hurt at all! Definitely recommend!

I couldn't love these shoes more! I am usually a size 8 and I sized down as instructed, also getting the narrow(AA) fit. My foot isn't narrow at all but I owned the thinsulated 8" pair prior, so I knew the narrow fit couldn't be worse to get on considering that they run large and these are shorter(not so slender at top). I can still wear thick, fuzzy socks with them, and have wiggle room. I live in the south and although we don't get horrid weather here, general chilly and/or rainy fall/winter days make perfect for me to throw these on! I dread putting them away for the summer! Being able to dress them up or down suits me so well! I get SO much wear out of them, and I know they'll last me a lifetime! They're timeless and perfect!!!

These boots are very nostalgic for me...my parents wore Bean boots for many years (and I'm sure they're still in the garage or basement). I must admit that as a kid I always thought they were kind of clunky and ugly, but in recent years I started to love them--there's just something about the classic leather LL Bean duck boot. So I finally bought my own! Per others' suggestions, I bought a 7 instead of my usual size 8. I ordered them on a Thursday and they arrived on the following Monday. I've only worn them around the house to break them in, but they fit great! The tongue is still a bit stiff, but from what I hear, that will loosen up in no time. I look forward to wearing these in the winter, as my fluffy snow boots are sometimes too warm for our southern winters.

I love these boots and thought with thicker socks they would be good. Unfortunately I only wore them twice because they are too big. Wish I had returned for smaller size. I was too anxious to wear them after waiting for them!

I live in a Gulf Coast community in the southern US, and our summers tend to be very rainy during the hurricane season. I desperately needed a new pair of rain boots, and I wasn't having any luck finding a pair of conventional rubber rain boots that worked for me. Frustrated and tired of having cold, wet feet, I decided to purchase my very first pair of Bean Boots. It's true that the Bean Boots cost a bit more than I initially wanted to pay for new rain boots, but I know I bought a quality product and I'm very happy with my purchase! I normally wear a Women's Size 10 medium width, and I bought the brown boot in a Women's Size 9 medium width as recommended on the website. The Size 9 shoes fit me splendidly, and I have plenty of room left in the toes for the mid-weight athletic socks I usually wear. The shaft of the boot isn't tight around my ankles and allows for mobility. Overall, the boots are very comfortable to wear. They will require some breaking in due to the leather, but they've already braved the rain with ease. The gum sole provides good traction on wet pavement and floors. I'm more than confident that these boots will last me through many wet summers, muddy autumns, and foggy winters for years to come. Best of all, I know my boots were Made in the USA by skilled craftsmen in Maine. I received a little note in my shoebox letting me know that Crystal handcrafted my boots for me. Thanks, Crystal, for a job well done!

I'm moving to the mountains for college and I knew I was going to need some good boots, so my feet wouldn't get cold. I decided to get L.L. Bean Boots and I couldn't have been more excited. I ordered a women's 6" tan/brown, medium B boots in a 9 and they fit amazingly. They have a little room, but that was expected. I ordered my shoes on June 19, and I got the shoes in 3 days! I was really impressed with the shipping and I'm hoping to have these shoes for years! Definitely will recommend to friends and family!

My roommate first owned these boots. I always loved the look and thought about purchasing them... I am not sure what held be back this long. I felt a little nervous about the sizing after reading pages of reviews. I typically wear a 9.5 so I decided to go with the 8W. Although I consider my feet to be normal width, I did not want these boots to feel too snug by my toes. I am overall happy with the fit. With light socks they fit, and are a bit roomy, which means with a medium/heavier sock they still fit great. I am currently working on breaking them in, since they are pretty stiff- but my roommate assured me that over time they will become extra soft and super comfortable. Love these boots and cannot wait to where them traveling or just walking around in the rain to walk the dog.

This is my second pair of Bean boots & I love them just as much (if not more) as my first pair. I would recommend them more for spring/summer/fall then for winter, especially if you tend to have cold feet, as the rubber can get cold, but they are great for rain & puddles!

These boots are a must-have for anyone wanting multi-use shoes for snow, mud, and rain. I've worn them for everything from shoveling snow and to going apple picking on a muddy fall day. These hold up and are very easy to hose off as needed. They are a bit stiff at first, so take a few wears to break in a bit and be more flexible. They definitely run large, so I'd recommend sizing down one size. I ended up ordering my usual size and realized after a few wears that they were way too big. LLBean replaced them with a smaller size with no problem!

First I tried the moccasin style in a 7 narrow and knew that I would not be able to wear that style without wearing very thick socks. They seemed almost too short (but now I think they were so loose that my foot slid down too far). Decided to try the 6 inch boot and went up to a size 8. They were a little too big. Spoke to customer service and they suggested a size 7 in the boot and they were right. I love them ! They fit fine. When laced they keep my foot from sliding down too far so the length feels fine I'm so glad I kept trying until I got the right fit. I wear anywhere from an 8 to a 9 in other shoes.

I have explored getting rain boots and already have hiking shoes. We live near a park and are there everyday. We also are just generally out in nature a lot. I tried a pair of rain boots and they were imported, cheap and poorly constructed. I realized I needed to upgrade and get something that would last. This led me to the LLBean site and buying my first pair of boots. I am so, so thrilled with the decision! They are perfect for the park and walks in wet grass or woods. I did purchase a 7 and wear a women's 8 all the time. So buying a smaller size is a real thing. They fit perfect as a 7. I am really happy with the product and especially happy to support a strong, US-based manufacturer.

Pam did a beautiful job making these boots. They are as comfortable as a hiking shoe, and I have walked several miles in them over the last few days. No need to break them in. The leather is naturally stiff, so you just have to walk through that. You can tell by the workmanship and materials that they will last forever. I really love them.

Love, love these boots. I have several pair, but these are so easy to put on, waterproof, and classy on top of everything beyond LLBean's quality.

I bought a pair of these several months ago and they were on backorder. Received them and they are my wife's first pair of bean boots. They didn't disappoint. Extremely well made and will last forever. I have a pair of bean boots from 1979 that I still use to cut the grass. I loved the signed card from the person making the boots, a really nice touch. If you need a pair of multi use boots, these are it!!! Amazing

I haven't wore them more than a couple times. First time I wore them with a heavy sock, cant do that with this boot. A mid weight sock is best. Also I have to put a extra cushioning insole in.The main one is nice, but I need a little extra. All around nice boot, just haven't spent a lot of time in them.Has not rained since I got them.

I Love my new boots!! They are so comfortable! I love how they are handmade and you can tell the quality from the moment you open the box. I use them while walking my dog, tending my chickens and any other time I want to wear them! Worth every penny! I am looking forward to many years with my new boots!

I rarely ever write reviews but these boots were so perfect that I had to! They were on back-order and scheduled to ship April 6th so I was so excited to receive them one month early on March 7th. I am usually a size 7.5-8 and got the 7 which are a little roomy but perfect with fuzzy socks. They are super comfortable - I can wear them forever. Love them!

Just got my Bean Boots in the mail within the last few weeks. They actually arrived almost a month early, which I was very impressed with. Now I will have them for the rainy spring season in Montana. I first tried on the boots without the laces, and they are a little snug getting your foot through if you have really high arches in your feet, but with a little help with the back pull loop I was just fine. My foot was slipping a bit in the back, but this completely went away once I actually laced them up. I wore them this past weekend walking around for St. Patty's Day and had absolutely no issues. They were so comfortable and I got so many compliments. The leather is a little stiff at first, which is to be expected, but I can already notice a little more give when putting them on and walking around. I can't recommend these boots enough. One of the best purchases I've made in awhile.

I could kick myself around the block for not getting these boots long, long ago. I've spent far more for the last three "cheap" pair than these cost, and none of them ever really fit or were durable. The fact that these came three weeks earlier than promised was a big plus, because now I can wear them to break in before my seasonal greenhouse job starts in another month. I won't have to wear the leaky, ill fitting boots I suffered with last year. YAY!!! Some suggestions for those new to these boots. I found the shoelaces included to be too stiff and too long. Replacing them with braided round laces a few inches shorter was perfect. I treated the leather with mink oil before wearing them, and expect that the breaking in period will be both shorter and more comfortable than it would be without. Last, but not least, is a way to compensate for the change between thick socks and light ones. Buy a good gel insole to use in warmer weather.

I finally ordered a pair for myself. I love these boots, they are comfortable and trendy. They do run large, so size down. I ordered the narrow AA, they were a bit tight for me with camp socks, so I exchanged them for medium B. I'm taking them with me for a trip to Iceland.

I ordered the lower size boot in the olive and orange. I love the color combination and the low boot. Many people have complimented me on the boot, and I am glad it is not the same color scheme that most people have in the Bean Boot. I did consult with the online LL Bean service representative to order the correct size. Normally I am a US size 8. The size 7 women's Bean Boot fit well with thick and thin socks.

The boot was backordered because of high demand, granddaughter received them when the weather was warm, she wore them to school and sent me a photo of her wearing her new boots. She wanted them to take to college in the Fall.

I always brace myself for disappointment when ordering shoes online, but my mind was blown and my expectations were far exceeded! These boots fit perfectly right out of the box! They needed no breaking in. Nothing pinched. Great support. Easy to put on! I work and walk for miles a day on the East Coast - very unpredictable weather but often includes some degree of damp! These boots are Perfect! So comfortable for walking and leak proof for the rain/snow/sleet/slush/ice etc... :) I also live in the upper Midwest where the weather and terrain also calls for regular boot wearing! I can hardly make myself take them off! Also, did I mention they're cute, too!? I usually where a women's size 12, so I got 11's and they feel custom made for me! :) Can't say enough great things about the real bean boots!
