FINALLY!!!! For years I've dreamed of owning these boots but the 6 was too large for me. I could fit in kids but the arch wasn't in the right spot (obviously since I'm an adult). I just randomly decided to go look at them and wish/hope/dream and then I saw that there was a 5 I literally leapt out of bed I was so excited. I'm usually a 5.5-6 in boots and I knew the 6 would be too big for my midget feet. The 5 is perfect. Thank you Melissa for crafting my dream boots!!!!

I bought this as a Christmas present for my daughter. I trust the quality of LLBean. I did not try the shoe on, because it is not for me, but the quality is great. I love ordering gifts from LLBean because my family is never disappointed.

I've owned these boots for the better part of a decade and actually inherited them from my mother (same height and shoe size). Since moving to TX, I haven't had much need for them, as I always considered them my 'winter boots'. But I brought them out of retirement for a recent trip around Iceland. Let me tell you, I'm mighty glad I did. When trekking behind all the gorgeous waterfalls and wading washed out streams, you want the quality of LLBEAN backing you up. Kept my feet dry and comfortable through it all.

Here in the East, we have had so much rain this year that I was soaking my shoes and socks every time I stepped out in my yard. In my search for a quality waterproof boot, I selected the women's 6" Bean Boots in the standard brown color. I normally wear a size 7.5 or 8 shoe, so I ordered both a size 7 and 8 to try on, then would return one pair. (Returning is easy with the label provided.) The size 7 boot fits like an 8 shoe -- roomy in the toe and just right for wearing thick boot socks with them. The lining is nice and thick and does not cause foot sweating, which was a concern I had. So comfy, I could wear these boots all day! It's no wonder that these boots have been around for so many years, they're awesome!

I am usually size 7.5 to 8 and i should say in the mid of regular and wide, however my feet tends to get swollen standing too long. Adamant on buying between 6M and 7narrow. I am glad purchased the 6m and fits oerfectly. In fact theres still a little bit of an sace probably will fit good once with socks. I atrictly followed the rule to go size one and half if using regular socks. I LOVE THE BOOT and i am looking firward to buyin ang 8"on next year. Hope this helps. I SHOULD SAY I AM SO HAPPY THAT I AM ALREADY LOOKING FORWARD TO PURCHASING AN 8".

I wore in Alaska where it rained every single day. Had a problem where the back pull tab ripped and Bean replaced with no questions. Got in wide to wear a thick sock which is best for me as I have bunions,order down a size .

My daughter loves her Bean Boots! She has to walk to class in all types of weather, so these are perfect for her. They're comfortable, warm, and keep her dry.

This was my first pair of LLBean boots. I went with the suggestion to order a size smaller. But I also thought I would try narrow as my foot has gotten so skinny. Anyway, I ended up returning boots twice before I ended up with 7M which would have been what they suggested. They were so nice and the return mailing box prepaid was a lifesaver. They feel great with socks and cant wait for some wet or cold weather to really get to wear them more.

I bought these boots because I needed something water proof for a trip to the UK. I had about 2 weeks before the trip to break them in, and then wore them almost exclusively for the duration of our trip (10 days). The only day I experienced slight rubbing (didn't cause full blisters) was the day we walked/hiked over 27,000 steps. My feet stayed dry for hours in a steady rain and through sizable puddles. They're a little difficult to get my foot into, since the tongue is attached, but that's just something I've gotten used to. For that reason, I'm very happy with my decision to purchase these instead of the 8". I love these boots so much and am emensely happy with my purchase!

I first purchased a size 8 as suggested by site. They were too small. Returned the item for exchange for size 9. The process was easy and fast. I am very happy with my boots.

I am so happy to have another pair of Ducks! And, I am most pleased with the Narrow width! Hurray! No need for big, thick socks! I do find the leather uppers a bit stiff. However, problem solved with an application of NeatsFoot Oil. Leather softened and waterproofed. I am a most satisfied customer! Thank you, pmw

Love love love my duck boots! I'm a solid 7 medium. For the duck boots, I've tried 6 1/2, 7 medium, and 7 narrow. 7 narrow turned out to be the absolute winner. 6 1/2 makes my feet look weirdly small - not in proportion to my height (5'5). 7 medium is bit too generous and make my feet look wide. 7 narrow is just perfect. I can comfortably wear with them either thick wool camp socks or regular socks. So you're a solid 7 medium like me, I would hgihtly recommend 7 narrow.

I just bought these and I expected to need a couple weeks to break them in but I was able to wear them walking all day with no discomfort or blisters. The tongue is a bit stiff but not in an uncomfortable way. They just need to mold to my feet. I normally wear a size 8.5 and so I bought a size 7 based on the sizing guide and other reviews. I was worried that they would be too small but they fit perfectly with the normal athletic socks that I wear. So glad I bought these; definitely worth the price!

i had to return the 9W for an 8W. the wides are roomy and comfortable with thick "smart wool" socks. i use them for working in the houston zoo. very pleased.

I have always wanted a pair of duck boots but have always had the problem of them never fitting my feet correctly because my feet are narrow. I found the LLBean Bean Boot in size Narrow AA. I usually wear a 7.5 so I took the chance and ordered a size 7. Finally I own a pair of duck boots that actually fit my feet in width too. I wore a boot sock with these boots and I wore these all day and they were very comfortable. I do wish these were available in other colors and I would buy another pair.

I LOVE these boots!!!! I was debating between the 8 and 9. I usually wear a 9,9W or 9.5 in women's shoes. I wanted to wear them with thick socks in winter so I got 9 (regular width). Also, I used the shearling insoles for winter and I love them!!!

These boots are fantastic in both the rain and the snow. I did order my usual size, 9, so that I had the option of thick socks as necessary when the temps are a little cooler. These boots are super comfortable. We did a lot of walking while wearing these boots and never had any issue with my feet getting tired or hurting. Added bonus: They're cute and I love how easy they are to keep clean! I would highly recommend these shoes to anyone.

I must have read over 100 reviews before purchasing these boots, since ordering the correct size is definitely an issue. I figured I would just keep returning them until I found the right fit. Well, I lucked out the first time! The size 7 is perfect for me. I have somewhat narrow feet and am normally a size 8 1/2 - 9. They are a little difficult to get on, since the tongue stitching goes all the way up, but the struggle is worth it! Initially, my ankle bones were a little sore, as the leather folds in the boots rubbed against them, but given time, they stretched out enough so they were comfortable. Most importantly, they keep my feet dry and prevent them from slipping on the ice. I highly recommend this product!

I have put off buying Bean boots because all the reviews I've read say they are too large, size down.. well, there is no size below a 6. I finally caved and decided to order my true size BUT went with narrow because I personally thought it would take some room out of the boot.. well, I was right! Bean boot size 6 NAA (Narrow AA) fits like a dream! I'm so happy I decided to see for myself. I will say it could be possible the size 6 is truer to size because there is no smaller size so I can't say this will be the same for the larger sizes. The narrow fits with a bit of room so wearing regular socks is comfortable and not at all snug. There is a bit a room to put on thicker socks if needed. Victory!

I waited many years to order these boots because I have narrow feet and thought the boots would be big and clunky. After my feet became soaked putting preschoolers in the car for afternoon pick up, I decided I had to order Bean boots. I was delighted to see that Bean has narrow sizes. I followed the size instructions and they fit beautifully. They are comfortable and I no longer have to worry about wet feet. Thank you!

I purchased these boots to take with me on a trip to Portland in January and they were a LIFESAVER!! I wore wool socks and my feet stayed dry and warm for the whole week even though it rained every day!! I only wore the boots one time before the trip and I wore them every day (7 days) of the trip, and they didn't rub a blister! I walked 26 miles during that week and I am so thankful to L.L. Bean for making such a high quality product!!

I love LL Bean boots. I have a pair that are 30 years old and are still in pretty good shape. This year I bought myself a new pair, a Christmas gift for daughter, a birthday gift for another daughter. I only hope we all get as much wear out of this round!

I am an 8W in most footwear. Following the recommendations I ordered the 7W. Perfect in length and width for me. I have a very wide foot, very high arch, a high instep, and now arch support inserts. All together I have a difficult time finding anything to fit. I bought the 6" boot because I don't think I could get my foot into the 8" model. It was pretty snug getting my foot past the leather, especially with a thick sock, but as the leather stretches it gets easier. Once I get my foot in, they are a great fit and extremely comfortable. I want to wear them all the time!! Once I was certain they would fit, I waterproofed the leather with LLBean Boot Guard leather dressing and finished them off with eastland knots. I, and my feet, are very happy with this purchase!

I had concerns about sizing, as I normally wear a 6 wide, and therefore it's impossible to size down. But I ordered a 6 wide since I planned to wear thick socks. It fits great! It is roomy, but not so big that it's uncomfortable. I could get away with a medium width (I ordered one to try), but I prefer the wide. I've worn these boots in quite a bit of rain the past few days, and my feet have stayed dry. The leather is softening with every wear. While I don't mind the iconic brown color, I wish Bean would make the 6" height boots in other color options on a regular basis!
