We love Bean boots. The quality is great, super sturdy and well made. The soles are quite hard, so walking on icy surfaces can be a bit dicey, but the boots definitely keep feet dry. We ordered a size 8 and they ended up fitting my older daughter who normally wears a narrow 10. I re-ordered a size 7 and it is comfortable for my daughter who normally wears a size 8 wide.

Love these boots from the moment I put them on. No breaking in time. Since we have been experiencing unusual snow, these have been the boots for it!. So glad I have them.

As usual, LL Bean items are the very best. I had to return the item because I had ordered the wrong style. Return accepted and the replacement arrived quickly. never have to worry about Bean purchases. Will always recommend them.

This was my first purchase from LL Bean. I have been looking at these for a while and finally last Saturday, decided to order, there were delivered on Wednesday. Wow! I wear a size 8 and ordered a size 7 as suggested by other reviews. I ordered these in a wide width and they are perfect with my thick wool socks. We had our first winter storm of the season yesterday and my feet were warm and dry. I am very happy with these and I love that they are manufactured in the USA. I looked at other brands, but their reviews weren't as good and they were made in other countries. The quality and craftsmanship are top notch!

I wear a woman's 11 wide and have trouble finding shoes and boots that fit. These not only fit, they are comfortable! Very warm and dry. Great for shoveling snow or hiking in wet/snowy conditions. No break-in period, they felt good the first time I put them on. I ordered a wide for my very wide feet and they fit perfectly.

I have been meaning to get these boots for a while and finally did right before our first storm this season and they did not disappoint. They are very warm & comfortable, i wore them all day without issue. NOTE: THEY RUN LARGE. I am normally a 7-7.5 and ordered a size 6

The reason I'd like to post here is I've read a lot comments about the SIZE (thanks guys). So I'm a solid 7.5 person. Size 6 is just fit for me in length and in width with mid-weight socks. Also I need a little effort to put them on every time, not sure if that's because of the design. If mid-weight goes A LITTLE heavy they feel narrow. But I live in DC so size 6 & mid-weights work for me, if I don't stand still outdoor for 10 minutes, I guess. Also they've become more comfortable as time goes by. Hope it helps a bit.

My favorite boots. I've bought many rain boots, from other brands, but these are by far the best rain boots out there. I lovvveee these. They are so comfortable and I can walk for miles in them. Normally, I'm a size 8.5, but I got a size 7 Medium in these boots and they fit perfect.

I was skeptical about the sizing on this boot, but I took their advice and down-sized my fit from a 8-8 1/2 med to a 7 narrow. And with my medium thick socks, they are a perfect fit. I was very surprised and very pleased. Also, it usually takes me forever to break in a new pair of shoes/boots with my odd feet, but this were so comfortable from day one. I am totally pleased with everything about these boots.

I had to exchange for a smaller size, easy and problem free exchange. Love the smaller size, so comfortable. They are my go to shoes now, love them!

I love these boots! So comfortable and cute. They do run large, I normally wear a size 8 1/2 in other shoes and ordered a size 8. I have a trip coming up and didn't want to order a size 7 and have them be to small. They aren't to big to where it would be an issue, just add some camp socks!

I love these boots. I have bought many different versions of Bean Boots for myself and family members. Unfortunately for me the size six boots were too small and the size seven were too large so I had to return both pairs. If they came in half sizes, I would have absolutely kept them. They last forever! I would recommend 100% recommend them.

The 6 in are much easier to get on & off compare to the 8 in. More mobility in these compared to 8 in. I wear a 9 1/2 & got a 9 in these. I have a thumb nail length between top of boot to big toe. The cotton rag socks in large work well to give a more fitting feel. Kept my feet very warm. I have a large toe span & have plenty of room without pinky toe rubbing. I ordered the medium width. I also have a high arch & had no problems with rubbing. Very comfortable to wear shopping, running errands, etc. No blisters while wearing them for the 1st time & all day.

The original bean boots are the bees knees. There are many knock offs and other brand that try and make boots like these but in comparison they do not even come close to the same comfort and durability! I had a pair of these boots as a kid and remember wearing them forever! They hold up well and last a lifetime. I love my boots and will never buy any other brand :)

Ive eyed these boots for a while and never really found them appealing, until this past year. I own a pair of Hunter Tall and Hunter Chelsea boots. I love both my hunter boots but they aren't easy to wear as everyday boots or are versatile. So I finally convinced myself to check out Bean Boots now that I appreciate the style. I already love LLBean, so whats not to love? I ordered these on Cyber Monday and they were not supposed to get here until next Friday. I got them THIS Thursday! only 3 days wait!! I was very worried about getting the right size as it varies for all. I have a pair of slippers from LLBean and the 6 was too tight and the 7 was to lose but I settled for the 7 even though it slips some. I know LLBean suggest says go down a size. I typically wear 7 and sometimes a 71/2. so I went with the 6, medium with 6' boot. I was anxious about the leather being stiff and having to break them in and the size but to my great suprise they are wonderful!! they fit! I already owned the cabin socks and I still have room in my sock for bigger socks if need be and if not I have the perfect room to wiggle my ties move my foot side to side just a little but the boot stays on my foot perfectly and doesn't slosh around! Im so in love! I cant wait to wear them everywhere year round!! My feet dont get hot or feel sweaty when I wear them! and my feet get warm pretty easy. I will say however the only problem is when I wear my cabin socks my feet start sweating I guess I dont feel it when I wear the shoe and when I take my boot off my sock is damp. not soaking wet smelly but damp. and I not sure why but I guess its because I do alot of moving. I wore my shoe all day yesterday from 7am-6pm never took them off, first day I had them. I couldnt feel them sweat or get overly warm but I took my boot off and the bottom of the sock and some toes were damp but no big deal. Lastly its a little hard to get the boot on and off with complete ease but nothing to worry about, Im sure once the leather softens up a little more than it already is It will be fine! THANK YOU SO MUCH LLBEAN!!!

I purchased the Field Olive/Brown/Sail Orange which I had been coveting from years past when they were only available for men. I am a true size 6, which means that my bean boots in size 6 are much close to a 7. I wear with really thick socks and it works well enough. I wish they would offer size 5 at some point. Previously, I purchased bean boots from the youth section. This doesn't bother me, except for the fact that they only make 8" boots for youth, not 6". The 8" is good for snow and such, but not great for just casual wear... a little too much boot to be comfortable. I've already worn my new 6" much more. Here's to hoping they introduce size 5 for women!

Before purchasing I read 12 pages of reviews to make sure I bought the right size. I am always an 8.5. In every shoe, 8.5. So I read pages and followed the rule above and ordered a 7. They fit perfectly. I also bought a pair of cotton ragg camp socks and tried them on together. The fit is great with a camp sock on and I feel like I could wear heavier socks if I needed too. I don't think they would fit as well with lighter socks, but I don't intend to wear them in the warm months. I highly recommend ordering a 7 if you are an 8.5. Save yourself 13 pages of reviews and follow the golden rule above!!

I am not writing for a recent purchase but I am writing for a 15 year old purchase. I virtually wear these boots every day in the fall and winter and have for 15 years. The only thing that has worn over time is the inside and the bottom but they still have some tread and they are still comfortable. The quality has held 100% and I have not needed to replace them!

I have been eyeing these boots for as long as I can remember, when I finally decited ordered them I kid you not it took me a week to pick a size because i wear anything from a 7.5 to a 9. For reference my Sperry top sliders are size 8. So i figured ordering a 8 would be fine. They fit kinda but only with super thick winter socks, but they are still loose and clunky.I walked around my house a little on carpet to just make sure i wasn't just second guessing myself cause Im always nervouse about getting the wrong size but they just seem too big. Id say if you don't know what size to order go with what ever your favorite shoes size is and then go down a size. Im going to order down to a 7, and they should fit perfect!

I normally wear a women's 6.5 or 7, and I have quite narrow feet. After consulting the other reviews, I sized down to a 6 for this boot and got it in the narrow width. They fit really well! With regular socks they are a tad big, and with wool socks they fit like a glove. They're comfortable and well-made-- couldn't ask for better!

After returning the 8" Bean Boots for being too long and too hard to pull on, I ordered the 6" a size smaller. I wear an 8.5 wide and ended up with a 7 wide. I chose the unlined version so that I could control the temperature with my sock choice and wear them for a more of the year. I love the classic styling. They look great with rolled skinny jeans or leggings tucked into camp socks. Add a collared shirt and a quilted vest for an on trend fall look. I love how they look with the laces tied into barrel rolls. The construction is exactly what you would expect from a company with a lifetime guarantee: absolutely flawless. The insole is surprisingly comfortable made with a nice dense molded foam. The bottom is really grippy with their famous chain-link traction. I love the connected tongue which is comfortable but will also keep the Chicago snow out. As some reviewers mentioned, the leather upper comes stiff. I bought the L. L. Bean Boot Guard Leather Dressing and flexed the leather side to side for a few minutes which really helped to begin softening it. If you don't want to go through that (and you wear medium width), try one of the tumbled leather versions which are nice and soft already.
