After wearing the Moccasins for 2 weeks one of the leather laces broke. Tried to replace it with another leather lace, impossible. Purchased a braided lace and after a bit of work and implements, success. Now to do the other moccasin to make them look even. grrr.

I have discovered that buying LL bean boots and rubber mocs is challenging. I have to reduce two sizes down, and then it was not good a bit tide. Then returned for a one-size bigger and did not work either- it was too big. Returned and may consider going to the women's size to match it - maybe.

I love the LL Bean products I've purchased, so I hate to give any Bean product a bad review; but these shoes are one of the worst products of any nature I've bought. I wear a solid 10 medium, which I ordered, and I just swam in them. I tried heavy socks and solid inserts to no avail. They are at least one size too large in all directions, and it felt like I was wearing weights instead of shoes.

Zappos listing about these being “true to size” is wrong. If you look at the LL Bean website, they tell you to go down 1 full size if you measure a whole size, and to go down 1.5 sizes if you measure a half size. So I ordered a 10 as I have with other Bean Boots, because I measure an 11.5D on a Brannock device.
My issue with the mocs is the heel slip is simply unacceptable. With my other Bean Boots, the upper part of the boot holds the boot in place. With the moc style, each step I take my heel lifts out of the shoe. This constant lift and rubbing on back of my heel makes these a no go. I sent them back for a refund.
If you can tolerate the heel slip, then these look great. I love the olive leather and orange sole. However if I can’t wear them due to discomfort, I can’t keep them.
Also when you size down as LL Bean suggests, width becomes an issue. These were narrow but tolerable.

This is the most un-manly loooking shoe I've ever seen. Bought these for my boyfriend as he needs some new casual outdoor boots. Butttttt listen ladies and gentlemen. These are the most unflattering looking boots. The shortness of this, makes any man legs look feminine (unless that's the look your going for) if you don't want your man being secretly made fun of. DONT BUY THESE. They make all legs look SOO crazy.

We've exchanged for the second time. Husband wears a 8 1/2 to 9 wide in every shoe. The 9's were so long, we sent back for 8's. Now trying 7. Can't imagine this!

I wear a size 14wide shoe , ordered a 14wide way to BIG,sent back ordered a 13wide still to loose even tried a set of felt insoles to try to tighten then up,no luck.

Grossly oversized notwithstanding warning on website. I have put in liners and heel inserts trying to wear them but they are unwearable, especially on wet ground. I wear a size 12 D boot so bought size 11 M moc shoe. Can't return because tried to wear outside but they are just not wearable . I tried double thick socks. Really sorry I wasted $100. They will end up at Goodwill. Really disappointed!

The quality of the boot appears great. However I could not find an appropriate size. I have a 7.5/8 EEEE foot. The boot comes in EE at the widest. Sizes 8&9EE were wide enough but too long. size 7EE was ever so slightly too long, but too narrow. Had to return them all. Bean's return process is great. Oh well..

Much too narrow in the toebox for me. I usually wear an 11. I ordered an 11 wide. It was much too narrow in the toebox. A 12 was too big, a 10 way too tight. Very uncomfortable and apparently no size fits me.

I normally wear a size 11. Initially bought a size 10 as recommended by LLB. Too big, returned for size 9. Ok such that it doesn't fall off like the size 10 but my toes ar pinched... not comfortable.

The shoes are too big for applied sizes. Normally wear a size 12. The size 12 was huge. We returned them and ordered a size 11, which were still huge even with very thick socks. We returned them and didn't replace them. The returns cost $6 each time.

I really wanted to love these boots. I wear a size 13 sneaker, so I ordered a size 12, and even with a heavy sock, it was still too big. I returned the 12 and ordered a size 11, which I probably haven't worn since I was since I was in 8th grade. That said, they fit pretty well, but unfortunately, the back of the boot keeps slipping off my ankle. It's not terrible, but I imagine over time it might irritate my Achilles and eventually wear through my socks. My wife has a pair and experienced the same issue. Again, I really wanted to love these because they are slip-on, which makes them perfect for taking the dog out in the rain or wet grass, but I don't want to hold on to them knowing that they don't fit perfectly. I'm planning to return the moc and order the gumshoe instead. If the boot was maybe a half-inch taller in the back, I think that would resolve my issue.

You have to know that, in addition to Bean telling you their sizes run big (and the sock thing) that when you receive your package there is another surprise. The surprise is a note that delineates the "toe box".
So even after sizing down, you may or may not be happy with the shoe fit depending on your comfort with the "toe box".. one extra inch of space at the toe to keep your foot warm.

I love LL Bean, it's a fabulous company with great values. I own these and am not impressed...These shoes really cannot be tightened. They're clumsy and floppy and most importantly not very comfortable to walk in for any length of time. Very flat and clunky. I love the special ed. olive and orange model...but, I think thebean gumshoe with ability to lace the shoe tighter or looser is a much better function and concept than this clog. To me, these are kind of a very expensive gardening shoe but not useful for much else.

I wear a13 Medium in all shoes; but I ordered a 12 as suggested. The 12 does work for my normal 13, but the Medium width is too loose at the heel. Never had that problem in the 65 years I can remember. I will probably keep them because I need something like them for my cruise in 8 days. I don't think I have time to try the Narrow width. I don't live near an LLBean store.

Was looking for a lite weight, waterproof slip-on for short trips in the yard when wet. The rubber bottoms fit fine, but the leather uppers were so loose it felt like my foot was coming out at every step. I see LLB does offer a variant with more upper foot retention. It is backordered until April. This might be the reason.

I love your products but something changed in the construction of your shoe ! My heel slips out of the shoe . I spoke w the store manager and she said that is a very common complaint ! I have owned several pair of these moccasins and never had this problem ! What happened ?

Keeps your feet dry but the pair I ordered had to be returned for smaller size. I should have returned 2nd pair because they are way to wide. Have to cinch up ties so tight it crushes leather top down into shoe.

The shoe ran extremely large in size.....normally where a 9-91/2 and bought an 8 and still large to the point I returned them. I really liked the shoe itself and was about what I had been looking for but returned it and decided to go to another company. I’m still waiting for the other pair to arrive so I cannot yet say if it was the right decision or not
