These well-made shoes are Very Easy to put on and take off -- once I got accustomed to tying the leather thong laces so they don't slip off as I walk.

Great built shoe. But the back of shoe pulls down socks

Depending on manufacturer and style, I normally wear a 10-10.5 US sized shoe and it fits snugly without causing blisters. For this shoe LLBean recommends ordering one size down. After reading the many reviews about this shoe being too large, I tried ordering the smallest available, a size 9. When I tried them on with a normal sock, they fit like a size 11 normal shoe. If I used a heavy winter sock combo, then they might fit snugly and not fall off my foot. As it is, I intend to use them for yard work and not construction, so being able to easily take them off without using my hands will work, for now.

The heel of the shoe was to wide. I even purchased the shearling insoles, they still slipped off when walking. The 50 percent off was excellent though. But, I returned them.

These were very well made like all LL Bean shoes are. But they were very large for my foot. I bought them in the same size as my 6-in bean boots and my 8-in bean boots but these were much too big because they don't lace up.

The style and quality of the shoe was very good. However, the limited inventory available caused me to buy a size bigger than I usually wear. These days the ease of slipping on a shoe instead of bending down to wrestle it on is a factor. With these shoes I could step right out of them. I had to return them but the customer service person was very helpful.

Poor fitting, even after sizing down. However, the shoe is purposeful and fit my needs.

I bought these for my son. He says they are uncomfortable. I was surprised as they are LL Bean & expensive. Hopefully they will feel better as he breaks them in otherwise I will not purchse a pair for myself as I had planned too.

Found out that Bean was going to discontinue Narrow options in the Bean Boot Line. ASAP I looked for 12 Narrow but by then, out of stock. Ordered 13 Narrow as a compromise knowing they would be a bit big. However, was sent 13 Medium - and returned. Life sucks when you are part of the 5% population that needs a narrow shoe. Used to get Boat Moc's in Narrow, fortunately have Cresta Hikers in Narrow - not sure where to turn other than Allen Edmonds pricey options for Narrow styles.

They fit in length but are still big on the top of my foot - even though I have a high arch. The way the laces are routed, when I pull the laces tight to tie them, it scrunches up the tongue. Need a separate eyelet for the top lace like my boat shoes.

This is a great shoe but size 10 was too long, and half sizes were not available. Would have kept this if there were a smaller size.

I can't really rate these, as I never wore them. They were way too long. They seemed to be very sturdy and well made, but I chose to try a different product.

The original moccasin boot is not being made so I bought this one. The fit is different. It is loose as the laces cannot be tightened. I am disappointed that Bean quit making the other boot. I will be sending this back for a refund.

I have probably owned 5 of these over the past 30 years. They were always my go to boot for those wet days when you also weren't sloughing through deeper water. Unfortunately, over time, I always had the same problem with them; that is, they would separate where the boot meets the sole. In the days when L.L. Bean would replace that was fine. Now, however, I think I can count on about 3 years worth of use before this happens. Maybe still worth it??

These boots are very durable and comfortable.... HOWEVER, after numerous times of almost twisting my ankles due to the narrow elevated heel, I took the boots to Goodwill!

We ordered my size and they were too large. We returned them for a smaller size and they were too large. We had to return them as well. They looked nice but neither the 12 nor the 11 fit.

Good quality materials and construction, but weird fit. Used the recommended sizing to choose a size (sized down a size from usual size). Length is good but too wide. I just wear them in the yard on the rare occasions it's muddy here in South Texas, so I'm keeping them. Wouldn't want to wear them all day--too floppy for me.

The shoes are effective BUT the sizing is so inaccurate. I normally wear a 10W. With this I am down to an 8W and it is hardly a snug fit. The sizing needs to reflect actual shoe sizes

I wear a size 9.5 wide, so I bought a size 8 wide. Still too big I think I need a size 7 wide but I have already worn with thick socks and don't want to spend another 120 bucks to get another pair.

I love the style, but it did not fit. My size,10 D is nothing if not average. So I read the customer reviews, sizing advice from LL Bean, and ordered a half size down. They were so big I could not keep them on my feet. I returned the shoes and ordered another half size down. Still swimming on me, but I gave it one more shot and ordered size 8 1/2. Not quite swimming, but not quite fitting. I finally had kicked the rubber enough times and moved on. On the positive side, LL Bean could not have been more accommodating. I wish the shoes were sized differently. I also think that LL Bean would do well to continue with more color combinations. I think the olive, black and orange is great, and I'd love to see the design team shake things up even more.

A high quality shoe, fit is another thing. I wear a size 14 shoe, after one return a now size 12 is still a loose fit but manageable with a thick sock. I wear medium wide, the right foot is perfect the left rubs the little toe. Go figure, but hey it keeps the wet out and that is what I was looking for.

Truly like the shoes, however, the leather laces broke the second time I wore them. Zappos was beyond outstanding in getting me replacements.
