I knew to order a full size smaller, which is absolutely true. I am an 11 in everything else but here a 10. I like them so much around the farm (cows/horses) that it's tempting to slip them on just for the convenience to go feed. Perfect for that if dry or light rain but of course not for mud: what's convenient as a slip on turns into slip-off in mud. Not the shoe's fault it "slips" although the rawhide strings CAN firm up the fit but only a bit. Just don't expect these to serve as mud boots. I use them as loafers in our rural setting but extended wear is not their best role. A quick run to the mail box and/or a rain shower yes. Not comfortable enough for a loafer. Can't beat it for quick outdoor chores and city rain shoe.

Well made. Looks great. Could be a little more comfortable. Overall nice.

I wear a size 10 so as per instructions, I ordered a size 9. With heavy socks they are still too big. Should have ordered a size 8. Have worn them twice so can't return them. Don't understand why they run so large. Good boot otherwise.

Slip & slide, way to loose.

The size is way off. We ordered 10M for my son who wears 11M. Way TOO big all the way around. Too long too wide you name it. This was a Christmas present but I needed him to try on because we are consistently returning your boots(look at my history). To get in time for Christmas I had to reorder which meant I lost my $10 gift card and discount and had to make a trip to UPS store, not convenient for me, dispointed. Hope 10narrow works for a natural 11M.

Am I the only one having trouble tying these? I'm having trouble figuring out where the laces are to go. I bought these a couple years ago and searched online how others tie them but to no avail. This is a wacky configuration. I recently got them out due to an unexpected 12" of snow we got. And I'm again faced with this problem. They didn't correct themselves sitting in the closet all summer.

I wish I had noticed the note that these run large. That is an understatement! My husband looked like he was wearing Paul Bunyan's shoes. However, Bean Boots are wonderful and this is the 3rd pair we've purchased. Once we get the correct size, we'll be good to go.

Ordered 1 1/2 size smaller than I normally wear and they were still too big. Tried them with the heavier socks and they fit okay. Per sizing instructions I thought the size I ordered would allow me to wear regular weight socks. Was concerned that another full size smaller would be too small so returned the boots. Did not want to have to change socks any time I wanted to slip on these boots to take dog out!

9 EE is an 11 D. Not even close.

I bought these shoes for my husband after buying a pair for myself. They are very waterproof and overall comfortable but he has had problems with the back rubbing on both shoes. He's had to use very thick socks and put large band aids on the back of his foot/ankle to wear them comfortably. Hopefully this will resolve with time. Side note: the pair I bought for myself has been a perfect fit and very comfortable from day one.

Solid shoes but the fit is so off. I wear size 10 in sperrys and nike running shoes, so I ordered a 9 as suggested. Still need to wear two pairs of socks to be a good fit. Try on in store if possible!

I have had LL Bean boots for many years and finally bought a pair of mocs. They are great in the garden and on rainy days. Only issue is they run really large. In most shoes I wear a 9, but in these mocs a 7 is large on me. Not sure why LL Bean makes them in such huge sizes (how many pairs of socks will someone wear with these things?). Anyway, I expect they will last decades.

I was pleasantly surprised to find the comfort and practicality of the mocs and only regret I've not owned a pair earlier as I believe I would still be using them had I purchased them twenty years ago.

Read a lot about this Moc before buying it, looked at all the 1 and 2 reviews first, I always start there never at 5 or 4. I never had a Bean Moc and wanted to make sure it was a good choice and USA made. The first set came in with the tie laces so tight you could not adjust them to fit properly, it was like they were sewn to the shoe. They sent a second pair and these were right on, actually I really like them took a little getting use to, but overall I like them.

These were a gift for my brother. He loves them and they fit true to size except they are wide in the heel. He compensates for this by wearing thicker socks. They are good quality.

My son-in-law generally wears sz.11. It was too large exchanged for sz 10. It was too large. Exchanged for sz. 9. Finally got him his birthday gift almost 2 months late. May want to mention this in catalog. Otherwise happy with product.

I cannot understand why a shoe size, 12, is not the same for all shoe manufacturers. The last 4 pair of shoes I bought from Merrell were perfectly sized as 12. I have been told by a podiatrist that I could wear a 13 on my left foot and a 12 on my right. However, when I got the 12 in your "duck boots" they wouldn't even stay on either foot for a short walk. It was really nice and easy to send them back and requesting a size 11. Hopefully, whenever I get them, they will fit fine. Thanks for the Return easiness.

Unfortunately these shoes did not fit my husband. We ordered wide as that is what he wears. They fit across the top of foot but the heel was to sloppy even with heavy socks. We ordered a smaller size and still to big . Husband was really looking forward to using the shoes in the Spring in Michigan

Best way to think of these are as waterproof sperrys, for light winter errands, rain, etc. The fit is tricky, I ended up going down two sizes, but if you have a high arch it is a little uncomfortable at first. However seems like they are breaking in. The lacing is a little weird too but you get used to it. Overall, they are perfect for their purpose: short errands where you would throw on slip-ons and the weather isn't great/

I wear 10.5 runners and 10 sprerrys so I ordered a 9 as suggested. Still too large. I need to go with an 8

The Bean recommendation is to order down if you are a half size. My foot is a 10.5 and a size ten is still large on me. I am going to a 9. Might be an item you need to try on in the store.

Bought shoe for my son. Heel of shoe is wide. Had too order twice for best fit. Customer service was great.

I order the narrow shoe because I have a B width foot. The shoe fits fine across the front of the foot but I believe the heel is a standard width because it is too wide.

The fit is quite large for the stated size. You must definitely order a size smaller than your imported footwear. I ordered a pair for my husband based on his New Balance sneaker size, but had to exchange them for the next smaller size.
