I normally where a 10.5 shoe. I ordered a 9 because it is uninsulated. Fits great. My actual insulated bean boot I wear in cold weather is a 10 for use with a thick sock.
Comfortable, but need a little break in time. One note to mention, the medium width should be listed as Medium+.

I wear a size 9. Luckily I have a LL Bean store in town because what fit was two sizes down from what I normally wear even with plain cotton socks. If I ordered on line it would have taken two shipments and one return.

I've ordered a number of these over the years; shoes and boots. The sizing is getting crazy. Exchanged a 9 for an 8, but still roomy. Didn't want to chance a 7. Maybe at least offer 1/2 sizes.

classic shoe and design. however definitely go one full size down. I’m an 11 and went to a 10 and is still just a touch loose but where I want it for these. so go with at least one full size smaller. a lot of other reviews pointed that out and it’s very true. I’ll have more detail in the winter but they are well made and what I wanted from LL Bean

Made well and are comfortable. However, should have half sizes, as this pair falls off .

I bought these in a size 9 and had to return it for a size 8 so they tend to be large. I also found the heel to be a bit loose so I have to snug them up to correct that. Otherwise these are great wet weather shoes when you don't want a boot. Typical Bean quality which is always great. I strongly recommend these.

Ordered new Mocs to replace the same ones I've had for 10 years. Ordered my usual 11 size but the were so large that they wouldn't stay on. I looked back at my old ones and realized that they have always been oversized and I sent my 11s back for 10s just like I probably did 10 years ago. Still a great moc but had to pay the $6.50 penalty for shipping return. Recommend ordering one full size smaller than usual shoe unless you wear 2+ pairs of socks

Once I was able to find the correct size (which wasn't easy) I loved them. I ordered a pair and when I received them they were WAY too big. Fortunately there is a retail store near me where I could go in and try the sizes on. I wear a size 10 1/2-11 shoe, and ended up using a size 9 with the shearling insoles and they now fit perfectly. They offer fantastic protection against water and snow. Completely waterproof! Step in puddles and slush with confidence!

Product description says to order one size smaller. I ignored that guidance and bought my regular size which I had to return because they were too big. One size down fit perfectly. Not crazy about the lacing but it is a minor thing.

I normally take a size 12-13 EE, but this size was way to big and ended up with a 11D.
Seems to be well made and good material. I wanted a foul weather boot that I could slip on to take garbage out or to go to the garden. This is what I was looking for

When I bought these boots. I was hoping for the best. I'm a size 11, so I went to a size 10 as recommended. When I got them in the mail they we're huge. I wasn't upset. Would go to the local LL bean store a see if they had a smaller size. I tried on a 9 and they were still way to big. So I went to a size 8. And the fit was still to loose. I gave up and got money back. I also wore thick socks. I really wanted these, still gave it 4 stars for looks

The shoe comes in full sizes and with sox went up a size. Too big. Waiting for exchange at this writing, but should be a better fit.

I've been using these shoes since the 80s. They're great for slipping on and off when you need to go out in snow or rain for an errand, chore or short walk, and don't feel like lacing up boots. Unfortunately, the mold has recently changed and in my case, I'm squarely between sizes and there are no half-sizes. I sent my old ones back to have resoled (they were very worn down), but the repair service uses the new mold to replace the lower part of the shoe. So, sadly, after 35 years, I have been forced to move to a different brand. If you're lucky enough to have a foot size compatible with the new mold, I highly recommend them. LL Bean, please make half-sizes!

Normally a 9, was so big I went down a size and that’s still too much space for my foot to move around. Not enough to go down another size though.

The sizing does run a full size to 1 1/2 sizes large. The lacing at the top of the shoe is a bit poor - it really doesn't do much except slide down into your foot. I know these aren't running shoes, but I feel the bottoms are a bit narrow and they can be a bit tippy. Otherwise, I bought them for a specific use and they do that fine.

I've worn a 10.5. D my whole life. But, per the instructions ordered a 9D. They fit me perfectly!
Haven't yet used them much. Is the only reason I've not given five star rating.

Length good as described, 1 size smaller than regular shoes. Seem narrow but I've had a lot of fractures. Fit well with medium socks. I would not wear them w/o socks. If you like the roomy toe box of Keen shoes, get wide width.

I got these to step out into the wet and often muddy yard with the dogs. I wanted them to stand up to those conditions, while slipping on and off very easily at the door. They do that well. They're comfortable to stand in.
But the trade-off is, they're not conducive to any serious walking beyond a short stroll. They're stiff, heavy, and crude seams rub feet at odd contact points. They have a flip flop effect because they're loose. Like clogs, I guess. Great for what I got them for, but a bit dear for a narrow range of use.
I love the green color. I wouldn't have bought these years ago, regarding them too frumpy or preppy. But now that I'm over 50, I'm totally rocking them.
Do believe the sizing advice. I am a solid off-the-rack size 11, got these in 10 as recommended, and they fit like they should.

Would have given 5 stars...but the narrow was not narrow enough.
Even with two pairs of thick socks, it was too wide.
Easy return process. Free returns would have been better.

Have bought waterproof boots and after 2 weeks, they are anything but. Your product is waterproof forever. Both my husband and I work outside and in the morning you need waterproof. Also warm in the winter too. I recommend these to everyone. Plus your office personnel are fantastic.

Husband normally wears size 10.5 - ordered size 11 - way too big. Returned for a size 10 - still too big. Returned for a size 9 which is currently processing. He hasn't worn a 9 since he was in school many, many years ago. Never had this problem before - not sure if it's the style of the shoe but I'm a little disappointed as he wanted these for the long walks with dog thru wet grounds. We'll see when we rec the 3rd pair.

I wanted a quick slip on Bean boot for walking through the wet yard or going out when raining and when I did not want to lace up my 12" boots. I first bought the 2-eye boat gumshoe. I liked 1/2 of those... one tongue had a habit of riding over so far that the lace was on my bare sock. I sent those back and got the moc instead. It is perfect for what I want. HOWEVER.. it is not the most stable platform I think due to how narrow the heel is and the fact of it having no ankle support. But it is what it is. I knew it had no ankle support which is why I bought it (slip on) but I think the heel could be made wider to provide a little more stability, hence the 4 star, not 5.
