This is the second pair of these boots I purchased from L L Bean. The first pair only lasted 35YEARS. Great Boots.

I walk my dog in a park that has a creek running through it. In this El Nino season I encounter a lot of mud and water. The Bean boots keep my feet perfectly dry and warm so we can go anywhere my dog wants to go. The fitting info yielded a great fit even with wool socks. The boots are quite comfortable and perfectly suited to my hikes.

I finally found a pair of boots that fits my EEE feet. The run large as they describe. The only negative is the boot laces are going after only 2 months of use.

In Sunny ol' California when it rains (a few days out of the year) it pours,so i got these boots. They are perfect for a wet cali day,they also fit in my toe clips on my bike,so thats a plus. Great boots,yet stlyish too,thank you LL BEAN!

I have been wearing bean boots for 30 years. They are great for work on a golf course as our feet get wet every morning. Most of my staff also wear them as they last the longest.

Trying to conserve space in my carry-on bag, I wore these boots on the plane during a recent trip to Boston; I didn't change shoes for the rest of my trip! I bought these boots because I liked the classic, preppy style, but I've grown to love these boots because of the comfort and protection they afford! I wear them loosely laced with a thick pair of wool socks. Unbeatable!

I wear size 14 wide but size 13 in this boot is ideal. Very good quality and great for rainy season outdoors with dog.

I have a very high arch and that makes the boot difficult to put on since the tongue is fixed on both sides.

Great boots. Stupid laces. Too long and as stiff as wire. Looks foolish when you wear the boots. I soaked the laces in hot water, but it made little difference once dried. I am going to run them through the wash tomorrow. Follow the sizing instructions for the correct fit.

So far so good! Just got for Christmas and have not really had to use them yet!

There appears to be a great difference between the size of these boots and most other footwear sizes. I ended up having to drive to the nearest store to figure out what Bean size I wear. Seems about 1 to 1.5 sizes large compared to most others. The exchange was easy, the help outstanding, but why was it necessary?

Looking for water proof boot for fishing. Great boot, just not what I was looking for.

Great fit! Keeps my feet warm and dry. They come in habdy walking the dog on cold, wet mornings.

The boots are the standard for winter wear, but I had to remove a star because of the laces. The laces are thin like spaghetti and nothing like the heavier version that used to come with these boots. Do the iconic brand some justice and bring back the heavier cowhide laces. If it costs a couple bucks more...so be it. Don't skimp on quality.

I wish it had the fleece on the tongue and around the ankle

Size ran too large, waiting for my exchange, going on the 3 week waiting for replacement.

good quality, not a fan of the heels as they are a little small and the tops of the shoes are a little loose. They sound like frogs when I walk but i still like them. If the waterproof is long-lasting, I will love them.

These are my first pair of LLBean boots. Observations after a few months: 1. They are big, roomy boots. 2. They are cold and never warm up. 3. They are waterproof to a good degree. 4. They have extra long laces. 5. They are moderately heavy. 6. They are of good quality. 7. They are a tat pricey. Having said that, the precautions and reviews listed do help to narrow your selection, sti for a first-time buyer, there's a lot to consider in making the right choice...ex: the boots are good for 40+ but really are cold after that point, socks and insoles don't really help either. Would I buy tgem again, well, no, not for Winter wear, there are many better choices out there, including LLBean. Satisfied? Yes, they are fine for warm gardening, car washing, power washing, above 40. If you are an older person, think about it first....we can use extra support.

They are the best boot I have ever worn in the woods, very comfortable for exploring or cutting wood for a fire pit, catching crawdads with my grandson, cutting four-wheeler trails, hiking. There is only one thing the boot fails on is the odor they have after you wear the boot for a day. If that could be addressed, I would buy a pair every other year.
