Had two pairs, 6" and 8" heights. My six inch pair I had almost 20 years and was getting ready to send back for re-soling. Unfortunately my Lab puppy liked them as much as I did. The only thing left to send back were just the soles when he was done. Having enjoyed the first pair so much, he focused on my eight inch pair shortly thereafter when they were pressed into service. Lesson learned...keep them in a closed closet and you'll get 20 years or more... less the Lab. There's no better boot. Comfortable, durable (accordingly) and warm. They'll serve you well.

Ordered a 9 based on your recommendations,an 8.5 would have been better. Fits fine with one pair of merino wool socks and another thinner pair. Wore them all day working outside in damp conditions, feet stayed dry & toasty! Kathy did a great job of crafting my boots, thank you!

Best and most comfortable boots I have ever owned. Worth the wait!

I order my daughter and myself a pair of the 6 inch boots. The boots are great. The sizing chart was right on. Give yourself sometime when you order. The boots are on back order most of the time. But they will keep you in the loop about when they ship or if for some reason that they would be a delay. The people that answer there phones are GREAT. Very nice and seem like they want to answer your questions.

I ordered these for my son for Christmas, and they were on a 3-month backorder. He attends college in Florida and was happy to have them in time for the rainy season. I ordered them in his normal size, and he said they fit well, look good and keep his feet dry. Apparently these are popular among the college crowd. Another L.L. Bean classic!

These boots replaced a pair that my husband had for 20 years! He's so happy to have a new pair--they are classic, comfortable and water proof. A great choice!

My father had his LL Bean Boots for over 15 years before they finally wore out!! He asked for another pair for Christmas. I will a little disappointed to find out that they were back ordered until February but I ordered them anyway because they are absolutely the best. They are extremely comfortable to wear, waterproof and look & fit great. Me and my husband both have a pair and love to wear them to our son's soccer games when the fields are wet and muddy. Absolutely worth the wait!!!

I have 5 sons and a daughter. Four of my boys have your boots. They love them. One took them with him to England and a passerby asked him where he could get a pair. Around Christmas I ordered my husband a pair. Unfortunately you were out of stock, so I was put on backorder. I was then sent an adorable key chain and funny letter telling me the boots would be coming. What a great thing for your company to do...Perfect customer service!!!!! My husband received his "backorder" exactly when you promised they would arrive and simply loves them. Thanks again for a wonderful product. They certainly came in handy with this year's New York winter.

These boots were bought for my nephew, and although he had to wait for a backorder, the minute the box was opened, he put them on his feet. Every time I saw him afterwards, he was wearing these boots, which means they were great because he is rather picky about his clothes and shoes.

Shoe is comfy for all day use.

I bought these for my son and he loves them. LL Bean let me know they were back ordered when I placed the order. I was pleasantly surprised that they shipped earlier than promised and they kept me posted on the shipping dates as well. I love LL Bean!! My older son is a forester and has put his boots to work in all kinds of elements and they have been great!

I purchased my first pair of LL Bean Boots in 1970 before attending Keywaydin Canoe Camp on Devil's Island, Lake Temagami, Ontario. The summer was full of portaging from lake to lake in various conditions of mud, muskeg, and overall moisture. The Bean Boots kept my feet dry and provided sure footing throughout the various conditions. Having lived most of my adult life on a Lake in Tennesssee, I am always sure to wear my Bean Boots as they have provided both comfort and protection. I recommend Bean Boots for all weather outdoor use and every season. On the lake, in the mountains, or on the trail hiking, LL Bean Boots are my footwear of choice. Before purchasing this pair of boots ensure that you read LL Bean's sizing section. If you order in accordance with their specs, your boots should fit you just fine. I would add to their guidelines that if you want to use these boots as an all around type of boot you may have an issue with the thickness and number of socks you will wear. The boots are reasonably warm. I use two pairs of socks: liner and thick wools socks. Some users have said that they experience excessive perspiration. I can't say that I have experienced that and I wore these boots for upwards of 10 hours a day.

Good, reliable fit - just like the 2 pairs of Bean's shoes. I wish LL Bean would make their Blucher shoes/loafers in narrow sizes again! Mine are wearing out and they are no longer made in narrow so I can't replace them.

These boots were lifesavers in New Zealand. Perfect for the snowy, rainy conditions we encountered. While everyone else was sloshing around in running shoes we were warm and dry in our boots. Great for hiking trails, boat decks and city walking. Had thought we would only need them occasionally on the trip, but wore them almost every day. Surprisingly light and only wore them once or twice briefly for a quick breaking-in and so comfortable even for all day wear. Took someone else's advice and wore the polypropylene liner socks along with the mid-weight hiking socks. Can't tell you how many people, especially New Zealanders, wanted to know where we got our boots. They may be large to pack but we will absolutely bring them to Scotland next summer and for any other trip that involves lots of walking/hiking city or countryside. The higher cut of these boots meant we could handle deep puddles; shallow streams and all day rain.

I love this boots. This is my second boots from L.L. Bean. I always like L.L. Bean products.

I haven't had these boots long enough to evaluate their longevity as others have, but I'm very pleased with the quick delivery, and quality of the boot. They fit well with thick socks. They're a bit stiff at first, but I'm wearing them for light duty yard work to make them more flexible.

My shoes got here quickly and fit perfectly. It was a very easy process and I will purchase again

I ordered these boots for my husband, a football coach, to wear on the sidelines at football games in cold weather. I needed them on a Friday and ordered them on Monday of that week. They arrived on time. He wears a 9.5 so I ordered a 9 as suggested. He reported they fit perfectly and kept his feet warm and comfortable!

This purchase was for my high school son. It will be the only pair of Bean boots he will ever need. I've had mine since 1991 and they still look great! Purchase and enjoy forever. Be sure to note that the size runs a good bit large. He wears a 14 athletic shoe, but we needed a 12 in the Bean Boot.

These boots are great. Followed the recommended size chart and they fit perfectly. Delivery was extremely fast.

I ordered these boost online and followed the Fit Guide to make sure I got the correct size. I wear a half-size, so ordered the next whole size down. The boots are a perfect fit! I also bought the Wool Ragg boot socks which are thick and warm. The boots are the socks will definitely keep my feet warm and dry this winter. I was worried about delivery, but I got them just in time for the snowstorm we are having today.
