Have been buying this coat for many years. They last for quite a few years and are always warm and always fit well. Easy upkeep! Love the graphite color.

The down coat is very close-fitting and I cannot wear my usual layers of fleece jacket over sweatshirt. If I wear just a quilted LLB sweatshirt under it the fit is just right and I was amazed at how warm it is even in pretty frigid temperatures for the Cape. The light slim style is very nice to wear.

This is my go-to coat for the winter months. Great for everyday use as it's lightweight but super warm and cozy. I could have gotten away with an x-small as I've had that size in the past, but the small is a much better fit, especially if you're layering up. The coat is very pricey yes, but it's definitely a keeper and holds up through the years.

Love this coat, as it not only fits my "short" body and looks beautiful but really keeps me warm without all the baulk of a heavy down coat. Love the two way zipper, as I can open it when I sit, but still keep my legs warm. As it falls just above my knees. I does fold back into the pocket for packing prefect which makes it great for travel. I got a large so that I could add lays under it if needed and so glad I did as it fits with a sweater, sweatshirt and/or a vest under, plus still very comfortable with just a shirt on. Have been out walking in the rain with temps in the high 30's, low 40's and it not only kept me try but nice and warm too. This is now my go-to coat, Thanks LLB

I love this coat in the plum color. Light weight yet warm, looks good, pockets in all the right places, nice hood, kept me warm in windy, subzero Chicago, comfy with the hood down and slightly open for spring in Wisconsin, so perfect for my traveling nurse job. Yet, after 4 months of wear the zipper broke. I exchanged it for a new one. After 4 months of wear, the zipper on the new one broke! This is all within one year of its purchase! I was about to go to a new job, and I couldn't wait for my coat to get repaired, so I got another one in green that was on sale, and sent the other one in for a new zipper. It took 4 weeks to get it back with a stronger zipper. It looks good. I figure that I can rotate my coats back for new zippers, as needed, and have one on hand to wear. A nuisance? Yes, but I do love wearing this coat.

I bought the knee-length version as I wanted something for the car that I could sit on and keep my legs warm. I already have the very long coat, same style, which I use for dressier. I also have a super warm down coat for the teens and below zero temps. What I wanted is something for slightly warmer cold weather, 20s and 30s. In Wisconsin one winter coat is not enough as there is a possible 40 degree change in cold temps. This is a perfect coat. I love the zipper that works without a fight!

This coat was purchased as a Christmas gift for my plus-size daughter. While I found it attractive, she didn't care for the longer style. I hesitated but did return it.

I hate feeling bundled up, this coat is so light weight and thin that I feel comfortable. It also is very warm, I have been out walking in freezing temps and still feel toasty.

This jacket is the perfect fit! Literally...Perfect with a mid-weight sweater underneath if it is really cold out. Perfect coverage from top to bottom providing sufficient warmth and protection on windy days. Flattering fit and does not appear boxy or cumbersome. The hood fits well over a full head of hair as I have, and doesn't slip backwards. I am so happy with the quality of the product and it's performance! The color is true to its name also!

Perfect coat, my wife says it's a little snug up top if that's where you're bigger and choose to layer up, but she loves it, finds it very warm and she is eternally cold, so...

this coat will keep you toasty during all of this crazy pandemic outdoor dining. Might even keep you too warm. I am tall and lanky and it is long enough for my arms, which a lot of coats are not. Well made and I love the green color.

I bought a petite small but it is not shown in the above question. Fits well even over a sweater. Keeps me very warm.

I have been obsessed for the past several years with finding a warm winter coat that is reasonably light weight in an acceptable price range. Probably the only real solution is moving away from the upper Midwest. However. This coat may be the one. I've been wearing it in temps that so far have ranged from 10Fto 30F. I wouldn't go so far as to say that I'm warm, but I am definitely Not Cold. Since I bought this during sale, I am very happy with the price. Suggestion for improvement would be having a zippered inner pocket instead of the pouch-like inner pocket. The kelp color is probably the reason this coat found its way to the 2 a day sale. I find it really unattractive, brown with greenish tone ugh. However, who cares about fashion in the dead of winter here in the upper Midwest? We just want a Not Cold winter coat with a good zipper. I have not experienced the tearing/feather issues other commenters have noticed.

Love this product! It is lightweight, comfortable and warm without being bulky. No need for multiple layers but there is room if you want to layer up. The hood is designed well. I usually wear size medium but I could have probably worn a small.

I love this coat! It is very lightweight but also very warm. It fits perfectly and is so light that it's almost like not wearing an outer garment. Due to the expense I had put off buying a coat like this but I am so happy I finally decided to purchase it. It was well worth the expense!

I have this coat in the longer version from several years ago, and still love it. I wanted an update so I gave this a try. At 5'1 it falls a couple of inches above my knees. Very lightweight and very warm, nice looking and so comfortable. I will still use my longer one in more extreme weather. Fits me well in both SP and MP. My older one is MP and looks and feels almost the same as this SP, just slightly more relaxed. Btw I have never had any issues with feathers shedding as other reviewers have mentioned. If this one wears as well as my original, I'd say it's a very high quality coat.

This coat is not puffy and may not seem warm when you first put it on - but don't be fooled. It's toasty once you zip it up. And the hood is tight enough fitting (with a cap underneath) that I haven't worn a scarf with it. It's advertised as water repellent - although I haven't yet worn it in wet weather, I feel confident that it will be a good choice for stormy winter weather. Some have complained that the pockets are too low, but I'm short and found them fine. The zipper seems of good quality and being able to open the bottom of the coat is a plus when getting into or out of a car.

I've been looking for a new coat for a while now. My needs were very specific; one that covers my bum, fits through bust and arms, lightweight yet warm, good looking and one that will stand the test of time. I found it with this coat. Yes, it was pricey, but I am hoping to wear this for many more winters. JillyBean

Ordered on a daily special for $100 in the thigh length, kelp green color. Nice army-green/brownish color that is flattering. These LLBean 850 Ultralights are just as advertised. Fold up so small, lightweight, yet keep you super warm. You only need a long sleeve turtle or crew neck shirt to stay warm and toasty in this line of jackets and coats....I prefer with a hood which I can put on to keep my head/neck dry and warm if need be. The outer material does seem very thin and could knick or tear easily, but this being my 3rd coat, I'm very careful when brushing up against things to avoid same. I have all three lengths, jacket, thigh length and below-the knee - love'm all!

This is the second LLBean down coat I have purchased.
I love the fact that it feels like a feather but keeps me very warm.
I expect that it will hold up as well as the first one.
I wish LLBean would make a down coat with a fur lined hood.

This is such an awesome coat! The lightness and length are great for walking the dog in Mn. winters. Even though it has a pocket inside the coat, I do wish it had a zipper closing. LOVE IT!
