Loving this coat. The length is great! And, when I am out with the dogs it does a great job keeping me toasty. The hood is so nice on those extra blustery days. And, I can't get over how lightweight it is. I previously went the heavy parka route, but no more! This coat can keep me just as warm, but then if I am inside somewhere and need to carry my coat with me it's no big deal, and it even can stuff into a small builtin pocket and I can slide it in my bag. I went with XL and it gives me room for a big sweater without feeling bunchy. It has a loose fit but it is slight fitted so it's working for me. Nice work, LL Bean!

Bought the same coat years ago without the hood. Love the addition of the hood, makes all the difference when it's cold out. I bought the XL because I like to layer. Although the weather rating is I believe under 0 degrees F, I would never wear this coat without multiple layers. It is not that kind of warm, but that could also be because it is big on me without the layers. Love the color, Kelp Green, hood, inside pocket, thin and light but warm. Also wash on Gentle in washing machine and hang dry. Nice quality, expect it to last for years.

My wife loves her coat. It's full length keeps her very warm whenever we're out in our Wisconsin winter weather. And it's one of her favorite colors.

Love, love, love this coat. It is lightweight and super warm. A perfect fit and it even has a hood to protect against the winter cold. I have the jacket to wear on warmer days. This was a wonderful gift.

I orginally ordered a medium (my normal size) but it was too large. When I zipped it up there was so much space. I wanted it to be a little bigger so I could layer but it was way too big. I exchanged for a small and it's so perfect! I love the green color and how soft the material is. It's very warm too! So happy with my purchase and glad I exchanged it. I'm on the shorter side so I wonder if the petite would have been even better for the length but it hits just right above my knees which I'm not mad about :)

The length and fit are perfect plus the lightweight warmth is what I was looking for on my daily dog walks.

True to its name- a truly lightweight coat. I normally wear a small but opted for a medium so I am able to layer because of my previous experience with lightweight down does not provide me with enough warmth . With a fleece sweater or woolen sweater , this coat kept me comfortable in 20 degree temperature. (I have not worn it without a woolen sweater )it was great repelling water as well. Outer layer appeared dry after brushing snow off the surface. I also like the large, ample inside pocket. I recommend this jacket.

Bought this coat for my sister and when it arrived, my mom tried it on and, well, that was the end of that. Had to buy one for mom too! They totally love the coat! Lightweight yet toasty warm. I bought them both a 1X PLUS since they are a bit chunky. Every time I talk to mom, she tells me how much she loves the coat. Highly recommend!!! Bought the grey and burgundy.

Bought this coat for my daughter and she loves the color and the style - longer to protect her legs during the cold Midwest winters.

This is my new favorite coat. With a warm layer, I was very comfortable in 20 degree weather with wind. Plenty of room for heavy sweater. I've wanted to buy this for a few years. I wish I'd bought it sooner.

Bought this for my daughter who is petite. I bought a medium petite so she could wear layers underneath, and it fits perfectly. She loves it. Great color (gray) and the quality is as expected for LL Bean. A super purchase ! I would recommend this coat and am considering buying one for myself!

The sizing of the coat is true to size *for LL Bean* With that being said, I typically wear a small or medium, whereas I always need an xs with LL Bean. I found that I did not need petite sizing in this, though I sometimes do. The sleeve length and length of the coat are perfect. It actually gives a soft feminine shape, which is hard to find in a winter coat. This is the perfect coat for running around town, errands, shopping, etc. It's extremely flexible and comfortable. Not at all bulky or restrictive. I do wear it for walks, but would not hike in it, or wear it to ski/snowshoe, etc.. My only real complaint is that it's not super wind proof. I notice air coming up through the bottom of the coat if I don't have a tight fitting top on underneath, and some wind getting through the actual coat, but not much, certainly not enough to make me dislike it. Wear a good base layer underneath of you plan to be outside for an extended time without much movement. It's been well below freezing in Wisconsin for a couple of weeks, and I've been very happy with this coat.

This coat is perfect for Maine winters Light and comfy yet super warm and the length is perfect to keep you warm down to your thighs. One of my most favorite coats now

I love this coat! I bought a petite large & the length is perfect (both coat & sleeves). The overall fit is perfect & it is very comfortable. I feel good in it.

This coat quickly became my winter favorite. I have a super heavy LL Bean hooded coat that I also love but this one is definitely more stylish. It's very flattering on, a great color and incredibly warm. I was surprised how warm it keeps me being that it doesn't feel bulky at all. Very happy with this purchase.

The fit was perfect, very flattering and stylish. I even have some room to layer with a sweater or fleece if needed. I live in upstate New York and we have had quite a cold winter so far this year. I usually wear this coat walking every day. It is very warm and comfortable. I highly recommend this coat.

This coat is so warm and not bulky at all. I love the 2 way zipper, so you can just unzip from the bottom and jump in the car to drive.
