Very good quality, fit is perfect. I walk every day and live in MI - this keeps me warm and comfy. BTW: I do not like wearing hoods - this one works and I'll actually use it in strong wind. This coat is a winner!

I love this jacket! With warm enough layers underneath, this jacket keeps me warm in New Jersey winters (20-30s with wind chill). The hood fits perfectly on my head, does not fall off, and does not bother my neck/chin. The cut is VERY flattering. On me, the bottom half of the coat flares out just a little, giving a more flattering dress-like cut than the typical rectangle shape puffer coat. I was a little worried about the little goose feathers falling out. I have had this coat for about 2 months and have only noticed 2 feathers so I am okay with that. I am 5'4", 140lbs, and wear a medium. It is comfy but still leaves room for layers. I can move my arms/shoulders without feeling restricted. Also, the blue color is very pretty. I have been trying to shop within colors that are more my "season" and wearing a color jacket versus black better compliments me. I noticed almost everyone at my job had a black jacket, which is perfectly okay, but I realized that some colors are more flattering and make people pop - I was glad that this coat made me pop :)

I liked this coat so much I bought it in this color. I had it in green and wore it so much that I needed a spare. Okay

I wore my prior 850 without the hood for 8 years! The addition of the hood makes my life easier and keeps me warmer. This lightweight coat was everything I expected and more.

This is a very light, but super warm coat. If it's really cold outside, my baby puts a fleece underneath this coat and it's amazing. What we really like about this coat, is that it's just simply super light as well, so therefore, it does not give you that 'heavy' feeling of a typical winter coat, so if you're traveling on the metro, and you get too warm, you can take it off easily and 'crumple' it up to put it in your backpack.

I love this coat! It's nice and warm and light weight. Very comfortable.

Wore to a basketball game and was able to easily stow it under seat. Kept me super warm during long walk to arena in 20F weather!

I was looking for a longer winter coat that is warm, but not too bulky. This one hit the mark! It's warm enough for our bitter MN winters, yet isn't so bulky that it's cumbersome. I'm 5'6 and 175# and purchased a medium .

Light weight good fit. I know it sounds stupid but glad the LLBean logo was discreet. Throw it on without effort.

This is a great coat. You cannot beat it for warmth, yet it is not uncomfortably heavy. In fact, it's really light to carry/wear. It is well-made and feels like it will last for years. Definitely a worthwhile purchase!

So lightweight and warm. Purchased this for my 98-year-old mother who walks nearly every day in the Midwest cold! It is the perfect weight and length for her. I purchased (and returned) 7 coats before we found a coat that truly worked for her. Another top notch L.L. Bean product!

In the middle of a very cold January the zipper of my coat (from another manufacturer) broke and I quickly researched options for a new coat. I ordered this Ultralight 850 Down Coat in black from LL Bean because it was in stock in my size. When I got it I was a little worried that it was so light - no way would it keep me warm. The first time I wore it the temperature outside was 12 degrees and I wore the coat with a base layer, a wool pullover, a scarf, a hat, jeans and boots. And I was over-warm! I couldn't believe it. I've worn it now for several weeks and can honestly say this coat was such a great buy. Plus it looks great and I imagine would be easy to pack on a trip, too. So happy I chose it!

Love this coat, fits great! I used the sizing guide based on my weight and bra size and it fits perfect!!! 5'1", 117 lbs and 34 C. I was going to get a petite extra small but the guide said petite small and I'm glad I listened. I have plenty of room for winter sweaters without it being bulky.

It's been a struggle to find a stylish but warm coat for Wisconsin winters especially for a 70-something who's a bit thick around the middle. Other brands looked good but didn't allow for layering because of waist shaping, so your customer reviews about size and fit with height and weight included were super helpful. I find the coat quite warm even dog-walking in recent sub-zero weather, and it looks great. All-in-all, very satisfied. Size M 5'4" 140#

At first I was disappointed in the length. It must have been worn by a very tall model. Being 5'5", I was expecting it to fall mid-thigh. It came down a couple of inches above my knees. But it has a double zipper, which I zip up 6 inches to allow for unrestricted walking. The other negative about this coat the hood cannot be removed. I can live with this because the coat is so light that it doesn't seem bulky. The positives are the coat is so light that you can hardly feel it on. It is also not bulky. Even though it is light, it is very comfortably warm. I was going to order black to replace a well worn black down jacket but ended up with 'gun metal'. It is a nice change and I've gotten compliments on it. I ordered another similar down coat from a well known brand to compare the two. It was bulkier and though the hood was removable it did not have the 2 way zipper, so it was returned. Overall, I am liking this coat. I would buy another if you shorten the length by 4 inches and design it with a removable hood!

The coat has a great combination of being lightweight and yet very warm. I also really like the length that covers almost to my knees.

Love it! Light weight bud keeps you warm. Kinda sporty but still sleek. Runs true to size or slightly big.

Purchased the 850 jacket first and liked it so well I bought this longer coat for when it was a bit colder and I wanted to make sure my legs would be warm. Couldn't believe how lightweight and comfortably warm it keeps me. Then purchased the men's 850 jacket for my husband which he loves. My only wish is that the women's coat colors were a little brighter.

Lightweight and so comfortable to wear while plenty warm enough! This is the third Ultralight 850 I've boughtone in each length. The fit is perfect. I'm a believer!

I love the non bulky feeling, ease of movement in the coat, yet super warm. Very functional.

I was unsure about the size as I've worn 1X before, but this XL seems to be fine
