Not very warm at all. A jacket more for 30-50 degrees

Bought the coat in April of 2019 and it's already ripped at the seam. Maybe wore it for 3 months. I would pass on this one.

When I ordered it the catalog had it rated -25 degrees below 0. It was 45 degrees outside and I froze. Not very warm at all.

I purchased this item because it was guaranteed to keep me warm. Well, it did not. As one of my Christmas gifts, I used it in 45 degrees Fahrenheit temperature. The wind was about 5 mph. I used a 100% wool sweater on top of a turtle neck. My torso was cold. I simply could not keep warm. The positives were: light weight, easy to manage outer shell, perfect body fit. The main function of this puffer coat failed to keep me warm. I am returning this item asap.

Its not as warm as expected. It is also barely water resistant. It's a very loose term apparently. Water doesnt soak in immediately but it doesnt take long to penetrate the fabric. It's not what I expected at all given the brand and description. Wont make this mistake again.

In the past years I have purchased 5 of these jackets in various colors via online ordering. I always took a men's small and they all still fit me so when I saw this new color I once again ordered a small. Mistake. It was too tight across the chest. When I did a comparative measurement I discovered the new jacket was about 1" smaller across the chest. I returned the jacket to an L L Bean store about 45 minutes from my home as I wanted to try on the medium. It fit perfectly. Problem solved. When I mentioned this to the sales associate I was told that they had restructured all the men's jackets which is why the small no longer fit. Why did they not mention this in their online description? So I rated this review with 1 star due to the change but would recommend it once you figure out the correct size for you. Why mess with success. If it ain't broke don't fix it. P.S. I have a friend who had the same problem with the same jacket.
