Got to be the best down jacket I've bought. 850 down: Couldn't be warmer. Nice selection of colors. Fits well. Little long in the sleeves but that's good, you can pull your hands up inside snd warm them up. I especially like the little tabs on the hem adjustment makes it tabs easy to find. Nice size interior pocket.

Great jacket. I had bought one years ago fir almost 3 times the price I paid for this one. I'm so glad I saw it at this price. It is great.

The coat was exactly what I was looking for. Something for those colder days going to work when a down vest is not quite enough. It fits me fine and is well made. I would by a second one if I had the need.

This is a great coat. Found on sale website and it is light weight though so warm. We got green and it is great fit. True to size

I have a similar Bean Jacket filled with an artificial plastic material that within a short period of time the fill dropped to the bottom of the jacket which made it useless. This year a Bean employee told me the 850 has down and stitching that keeps the down in place and therefore very warm. I bought it and it's the best Bean jacket I have. Love the hood and the packing it into a small pack. I have already recommended to others who spend time in the out of doors ands it's a hit with them as well.

light as a feather...good warmth...I ordered it in the tall size since at 6'1 I am right in between I am glad I did. It is long enough in the body and the sleeves are great. Overall, very pleased with this jacket.

I've had my eye on the Ultralight 850 Down Jacket for some time. Finally I found it on sale, in a color I thought would look good on me. I own, and have owned, quite a number of LLBean products over the last 45+ years and was expecting a superior quality product. I was not disappointed! The fit (L, Tall) is perfect. Has enough room for something lightweight underneath without the jacket feeling snug. Yet even without an underlayer, it does not feel too large.The color was bright and lively without being garish. Exactly what I wanted. Not the least bit disappointed. I recommend it highly!

This is the second Ultralight 850 Down Jacket I have purchased from LLBean, in last 5 years. I like them for their insulating ability, durability and light weight for winter sports, and wearing under wind and water proof shells. Also, like the cut and fit. I use one predominantly for winter workouts, the other for more formal occasions.

I am thrilled with this purchase.

Well sized, light weight and very warm and comfortable.

I've wanted a good down coat for some time but just didn't want to spend the money. Well, as the years crept up, 60 tomorrow, I just can't stay warm and this year in PA has been very cold and snowy. It was time to just get the coat. I'm very happy with this one. I think it runs a wee bit smaller than advertised but by getting the bigger one I can wear a sweater under if needed. And, yes you might need it. I read reviews where I think people thought this was going to keep them toasty in all conditions. Well, it doesn't work like that. Day to day in 15 to 40 degree weather this is perfectly warm with a tee shirt and flannel shirt under it. Stops the wind, repels water. Weighs nothing. Warm. What else could you want. And it looks good, too!

Here in NC we get more chilly weather than real cold, but sometimes something for pure warmth is needed. This has met the bill to 25F with almost unnatural warmth. I have worn it in our more typical winter damp in the 30-40s and enjoyed comfortable warmth. Nice jacket. Decent pockets, too.

My husband loves this jacket. I ordered the "burgundy" type color. We do not get too cold in NC, depending, but this is his go-to jacket on a colder day. It is comfortable and he says he feels like he is in a warm oven with it on. I would recommend to others, the quality is excellent, fit is good for him and it looks nice. He generally wears a Medium shirt, ordered this jacket in a Large/Regular and it is just right.

This jacket works well with additional under-layers for temps down to sub-zero.

I bought this specifically because I wanted a very lightweight but warm option for backpacking, but also to use around town. I was drawn to the sale price and to the 850 down; the warmth to weight ratio did not disappoint. I am impressed with the quality and am very happy with my purchase

Amazingly light and surprisingly warm. Nice snug collar. Great for all but the coldest of days.
