Perfect except the arms seem a little better insulated than the body.

My husband loves this jacket. He's always cold on his morning walk and this was just the ticket. I bought a small as he's 5'7" and weighs around 140.

This jacket is so awesome that I purchased 2 of them - one green, and the other crimson - size medium. I am 5'6, 145 lbs. It is a warm and classy addition to my wardrobe. I live in Stamford.

Purchased for my high school aged son to keep in his backpack at school. Our mornings have been in the low digits to low 20s since purchasing this jacket. This jacket holds up to the cold despite how thin it is. Better than most of the competition out there with 850 fill. Packs easily in a backpack. He is able to stow it in a pocket, out of the way of pulling books, folders and a laptop throughout the day.

Bought this for my husband. He wanted XL, and it was perfect over a light layer, just the right amount of warmth for 30 degrees or so. He is 210 and 5'11". The color, a saddle brown was handsome and different. We would definitely recommend it.

My husband is picky with jackets and really liked this one. The loft is warm without weight and the fit is accurate allowing for flexible movement.The color carbon navy is a great neutral.

I find it to be better than all of the other brands of this type of jacket. The warmth and the zipper which never gets caught and the fact that it has a large pocket inside for a neck gator or some thing else is excellent. This unit also folds into itself into that little pocket. Very well thought out jacket

This jacket is light weight; that's the beauty of down. It's also very warm and wind resistant. I live in Saint Paul, MN, where a short dog walk can leave you shivering if you're not dressed for it. Since I got this jacket, it has become my go-to for going outside.

The jacket is very lightweight yet extremely warm. The drawstrings at the waist keep cold drafts out.

Quality jacket. If anything it is a tad too big, but I'm probably skinnier than the average person

I've compared my new LL Bean 850 down jacket with an other down jacket that I have with a fill rate of 650 and have noticed a great increase of warmth between the two...noticably much warmer with my new LL Bean jacket...yet still very light in weight...love it!

Great jacket keeps you really warm and it's light as a feather

Wasn't cheap, but neither is the coat. Terrific styling, well appointed attention to detail and this medium is a perfect fit for 5'10", and of course with 850 down, this is a warm coat. Looks and feels great whether open or zipped. Maybe next year, will buy the navy blue which also looks perfect.

Excellent for general wear and also skiing; wore on the mountain at sub-zero temps and both cold and wind were no problem. I really like the jacket so far and recommend.

Very warm for how lightweight this jacket is. Large regular men's fits 6' 180 lbs perfectly. Very good looking jacket and seems like it will be durable.

I originally bought the LL Bean Prima Loft Packaway jacket but that just wasn't warm enough for weather under 30 degrees. Ended up returning that jacket and bought this 850 Ultralight. Not only is this jacket much warmer, it also fits throughout the body much better. If you are looking for a warm but not too heavy/bulky of a winter jacket, this is the one for you.
