I bought this jacket for my 14 year old son to ski in and to wear to school this winter and he really loves it. It is light weight but still very warm. Works great for skiing 0-20 degrees with layers underneath. And the fit is great too.

Jacket is nice and light. Relatively warm. Not bulky. Good jacket to drive with as it does not restrict your movement. . My only gripe is when the hand pocket zipper is opened, it gets caught on the seat belt buckle release.

Jacket is very light yet provides perfect level of warmth.

I walk local rail trails wearing this jacket over a sweatshirt in 15 to 20F winter weather and am amazed by how warm I am; frequently I'll partially unzip to manage heat buildup! The flap behind zipper does good job of preventing wind from blowing through zipper on blustery days. Jacket is also amazingly light weight. Appreciate the exterior zippered chest pocket which I use for my cell phone. Anything can be improved: LLB consider adding: 1-a ring to clip gloves to jacket, 2-larger tabs on zippers so a gloved hand can find and manipulate the zippers, and 3-add a 2nd exterior chest pocket (one for cell phone and second for sunglasses).

light weight & super warm especially when it's coupled with their sweater fleece and a turtleneck

Super lightweight, wind resistant, warm in single-digit temps and comfortable into the 40s. Also long enough to cover my buns :-) ! It took a couple of days for the down in the arms to fully fluff up, and now it's perfect.

This jacket is very light weight, compacts into a small pouch pocket and is warmer than I thought it would be and is also has so good wind resistance. 850 down is really a great down, warmer than lower number downs. For my winter jacket, I now use this jacket inside a good quality rain wind jacket. That keeps my warm under 20F while walking dogs.

Very warm if you layer. Light and not restrictive. Very pleased.

This is great coat for milder winters, but it does work perfect for layering to add for extra warmth. Very lightweight and comfortable I own two of these jackets

Very lightweight and very warm!! I had to buy a new one in case the one I have gets too beat up. I have been wearing it every day for the past 8 winters. Awesome coat!!

Great co. Only problem is it wears out by my neck due to rough beard. They replaced it once in 2018. Still wears out in same spot but they stood by product and it keeps me warm!

I own this jacket in XXL. I typically wear XL but I got the larger size knowing I wanted room to layer underneath. It traps heat nicely and is a good shell from the wind. I highly recommend. I've owned mine for maybe 6 years and will be upgrading soon as the down has lost some of its fluff and repeated attempts to re-fluff it are not giving me the results I want. I have worn this jacket a lot so I have no complaints. A solid choice in any wardrobe north of Orlando or San Diego.

Looks great and barely know I am wearing a winter coat. You still need to layer up but the coat keeps heat in and is very comfortable when driving

The typical LL Bean quality of great workmanship and style. My 86 year old father loves the warmth without the bulk as he gets used to living in the cold temperatures of winter again.

Great Jacket. Not only is it warm, but it is light weight. The fit is more regular, it is not fitted at all if that is what you want, I would look elsewhere.

This really is the best and warmest winter jacket I have ever had. I ordered the tall size to better cover my butt. This is not for skiing because the lightweight nylon isn't really tough enough. I wish they would make something similar for skiing,

This is lightweight and could easily fold up for packing. On the other hand, it is incredibly warm. It fit well.
