The old style of this shoe used to have a cloth heel inside, now it has leather and the break in period is craaaazy. I have tried to break these in and each time the leather inside heel rubs horribly and I get really bad blisters :( sad that I can't wear the classic shoe style anymore.

I love my vans slip ons, been wearing for 30 years...these unfortunately are destroying my feet. Size up due to materials and fit but constantly rubbing my Achilles leaving painful blisters. I wish they fit better but won't purchase again

Had to return because you can barely squeeze your foot in and then they're so tight across the top of the foot

I ordered the same size I wear in any other brand of shoes and these are at least a full size too small so buyer beware.

I truly didn't want to believe all the bad reviews about the PopCush skateboard slip ons. I've been a loyal Vans fan for years and absolutely LOVED the old UltraCush slipons (which they sadly no longer make). I thought maybe the negative feedback was just picky people but I was wrong. Painfully wrong.
I spent $100 customizing a pair, hoping they'd somehow be different. Spoiler alert: they weren't. These shoes absolutely destroyed my heels. I've tried to wear them twice and both times ended up with blisters so bad I could barely walk. It's honestly shocking how uncomfortable they are.
What makes it worse? Custom orders are not returnable. So I'm just stuck with a pair of shoes I'll never be able to wear. Total waste of money. And not to mention, they are very sloppily made.
I never write reviews but I had to this time in hopes of saving someone else from making the same mistake. If you're on the fence, PLEASE listen: these are nothing like the UltraCush, they're painful, and they're a huge disappointment.
Vans, you've got to do better. Bring back the UltraCush or fix the PopCush. This is unacceptable.

Not happy with the way they fit. Bring back Area Vans. Why don't you have more skate options with the same insoles. I've worn Vans for 20 years.

I've been wearing the Classic Slip-Ons for years, and love them. This time I tried the Skate Slip-Ons, but a few key differences make them unwearable.
1. There's a ridged seam inside the heel that rubs -- wearing these sockless is a non-starter, and they're still uncomfortable with socks on.
2. The back of the heel is a little bit taller than the Classic heel-back, so it hits my Achilles as I walk.
Can't wear them, will not buy this style again.

I am supremely disappointed in having purchased these. I have owned slip on vans since high school and they have always felt comfortable, but I opted for the "skate" version this time because I figured the cushioning would be nice. I was mistaken, the shoe fits nearly an entire size smaller, but you can tell by how narrow the toe box is in these that even sizing up likely would not help. I'm just upset I spent money on these because I already turned around and bought the orignials again. Just taking this purchase as a loss and donating them.

Regretting these big time! I have always worn vans slip ons and thought it would be nice to get the upgraded cushioned soles. Big mistake, these shoes fit ridiculously tight and because of the stronger upper canvas they will not break in to be comfortable like the originals. I'm regretting buying these and wishing I just purchased the original vans slip ons I always buy.

Separation after about 4 days of use. Vans won't respond. Poor craftsmanship.

As a lifetime Vans purchaser, I can't believe how uncomfortable these shoes are. I purchased these to replace a pair of Classic Slip-ons for an upcoming trip and could not be more disappointed in the choice. I've walked about 10 miles in the shoes and worn them inside while working from home for 16+ hours in an attempt to break them in prior to my trip. They still feel miserable. There's always a bit of a break-in period for a new pair of slip-ons, but I'm not sure these will ever fit right even after purchasing my normal size. They are extremely tight, making my feet ache after about 10-15 minutes of wear. The heel is absolutely eating me up and causing blisters from rubbing. It's so firm I doubt it will ever have the give I need to prevent further issues. I don't know that I'll be able to return the shoes given how much wear I've put on them, so maybe after I donate them locally someone else will have better luck.
Disappointed,

Wore them for a day and my heel was completely thrashed, never again.. Why does Vans continue to mess with designs that were perfect for years. The old slip ons that had the suede inner heel without the popcush insoles were spot on. Vans just aren't the same nowadays, this is just a skateboarder speaking the truth..

I have had these less than a year and they are falling apart and have became the most uncomfortable shoe I have ever had the misfortune of putting on my foot

These shoes are so tight I can barely get them on. It's not the size though, I have 2 other pairs of vans in the same size and those are comfortable so I don't understand why these are so tight. I'm assuming it's the fabric and shape but they are so uncomfortable I can barely wear them. I have been told they just need to be broken in but I'm not sure I can wear them enough for that. I am trying and really hope it helps. I want to like these shoes but I don't really know if they will get any better. Right now they squeeze my feet so much that it hurts and they're digging into my heels. The most I can do is wear them around the house for small periods of time. If you do not want to go through this process, I don't recommend buying these shoes. I'm just hoping I can get them to a point where I can wear them so the money I spent on them isn't wasted. I will not be buying these again though. Even if I can get them to a comfortable point, having to go through this painful process isn't worth it to me.

I tried to wear them twice & they absolutely tore up the back of my ankle. I have many pairs of popcush laced vans & this has never happened. Super disappointed. I'm out of the return window & can't use them.

Been wearing vans slip-ons for over 25 years now. Not if the shoe quality of the material has dropped but these shoes are cutting the back of my foot on the fist day wearing them. Extremely uncomfortable and painful to wear.

I have had slip ons for the last 30 years. Literally grew up in them. These look the same, but they aren't. The back of my heels was shredded by these shoes. I was stuck with these on a trip through Spain and ended up stepping on the heels and wearing them as slides. Not cool.

Vans has been cheaping out on glue. I keep splitting the toe in the same spot after doing nothing too aggressive in them.

I have been purchasing Vans for most of my life. I recently had two custom pairs made and they came with a different color stitching than expected

Ive worn classic black slips for 30yrs. I liked the look of these and the extra foot cushion but they're killing my feet. Too tight on top and giving blisters. Only worn twice and wish I'd never veered from beloved classics.

The great thing about this product is insole. Comfy cush. I dislike this design, I am not a fan of the checkered flag outside.

I loved my last pair of vans slip ons. These on the other hand are the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever worn. Rubbed the side of my foot, pop Cush should say no cush. Feel a bit cheap. No cushion around the top of the ankle piece. Grip is really good tho.

I wear Vans for pretty much anything and everything. Work, casual, beach, skate, etc. I was so jacked to see the reinforced sole and better arch. Thought they were a little tight when I bought them, but I expected that for first time use they were going to be snug. All my Vans feel that way at first.
I've been waiting a month now for these to break in and no give. Which is completely contradicting to that which the sales rep told me. My feet are literally NUMB after 10 minutes of wear.

I'm literally crying because of how sore and torn up my heels are from the tightness and rubbing. I had dime size blisters within hours of wearing them and the only way I can put these shoes back on is with two bandaids and a blister patch. And I still don't walk right. The duraheel is the worst!!!!
