bought online under the sale tab and i feel the discount was because the shoe had a defect. same thing happened with some adidas i got, eh. Maybe just a coincidence but I was too eager to skate and dealt with it. now Im living with a regret. Half the rating since the other shoe feels fine

The fit is far off from the authentic and slip-on core classics and even the skate old skools. The thick insert makes for a terribly tight heel cup and makes the shoes unwearable. I wear an 11.5 in the authentic core classics, 12 in the slip-on core classics, and a 12 in the skate old skools. The 12 in the skate slip-on was unwearable and painful; no amount of break-in will help. When I removed the insert (which is the same as found in the skate old skool) they actually fit okay, but I don't want to have to do that with a new pair of shoes.

I first ordered a mens size 9, too small. So I did an exchange and ordered 9.5. It also was too small, but I believe it was just way to narrow.

I've ordered a LOT of size 10 Vans from this site, both slip-on, and lace, and they all have fit beautifully. This particular pair, the Skate Slip On, fits way too tight around the ankle. I gave it a few weeks to break in, and still the rubber around the opening chokes my ankles, and blisters my heels. That white rubber ring around the ankle is thick, tight, and unyielding. Pity, since they look very nice.

Seriously? Is a heel sore, worth it to break in shoe?

We picked these Vans based on a very positive past experience with Vans slip-on shoes. These, unfortunately, did not meet our expectations. While the design is superb, the material of these shoes is stiff and does not accommodate any idiosyncrasies of my son's feet like the canvas Vans did. In short, he ended up with blisters in multiple places and now does not want to wear them anymore. We ordered half a size bigger than his usual size to allow for a little wiggle room, but they actually fit quite snug. Overall rather disappointing and would not recommend them.

listen to the other review and size up! This shoe is the normal vans with a *giant* insole, making it crazy tight

Fit ok, but needed arch support. Inside of shoe is abrasive and not good for wear without socks, which would be too ugly. Wanted to love Vans because of the wonderful colors and patterns, tried 4 of them, but this brand is not quality construction. I bought several Easy Spirit Traveltime instead.

I have been wearing vans for 20 years and these are much smaller and narrower than any of the shoes that I've had in the past.

Severe heel & toe blisters despite moleskin, bandages & break-in. Heel rubs while skating. Slip-On Pros never caused this.

I wear size 10 in all my other shoes including my Chuck Taylor's. These are so tight that they hurt my feet. Very disappointing as I have had Vans before. The worst part is I can't wear them or take them back because I tried to break them in. Not happy with my purchase. Would not recommend.

I LOVE Vans and have been wearing them for well over ten years. I have neverrrrr had a pair feel this terrible. They fit me fine, but the back of the shoe digs into my heel/achilles so bad that I couldn't walk after a while. I even tried getting blister preventing cushions to go in the back of the shoe with no luck. Really really disappointing and unfortunate. I will still be buying Vans but NEVER this model again. It's only the skate shoe slip on that's an issue so bizarre. I even had the skate half cabs which were super comfortable. Wish I would've known this before buying them and now I can't return gah

I swear the quality of these got worse!? The skate slip ins feel cheap and flimsy compared to what they once were and the heels are stiff and jab into my Achilles

My shoes split at the toe bend where the fabric meets the side of the sole after less than a year of ownership and customer service has refused to replace them. I literally only ever walked in these shoes and they still failed that fast. The soles look nearly brand new still. Vans only stands behind their products lasting for up to 6 months under normal use(no skating) in the US which is a very strong indicator they know full well what they are selling is poor quality junk and have no interest in doing better.

I've been wearing vans slippers for over 15 years. I preferred the lightweight version with the comfy Kush sole which they discontinued so I tried the skate slip on. They do not account for the fact that the thicker sole takes up more room in the shoe and there's literally not enough room to fit your foot in. I almost can't even get them on and I've been wearing the same size for 20 years. I don't have a wide with foot or anything like that, a very average/standard foot size. Will definitely not be buying these again, and the sole on the basic slip on is like walking on pavement barefoot, so I guess I will no longer be wearing vans slip ons. Too bad they got rid of the only comfortable version had.

I bought these for skateboarding. At first I thought they looked nice & fit really well with good cushion for the sole. After wearing them for a longer period I noticed they began rubbing against my right heel and causing serious discomfort to the point I can't wear them and will be sending them back.

I got these in yesterday and immediately noticed that they fit different than any other pair of Vans that I've owned. My feet are on the narrow side and my right foot is my slightly wider foot for context. They slipped off my feet on both feet, but worse on my more narrow foot (not surprisingly.) So I decided to try an exchange in store. I went a half size down and they fit better, but my left foot still slipped and my right foot was super snug and my toes didn't have enough room in my opinion, so likely after wearing them for a while they'd hurt my feet. It sucks because they are beautiful shoes and featured water resistant (if not water proof,) fabric. I was HIGHLY disappointed to say the least. I'm not sure why they decided to redesign the fit of slip on shoes for this style, but they fumbled the ball on this one.

Always been a fan of the checker slip on, I buy a new pair at least once a year but I have never experienced any pain with a pair until now. I know when buying the pop Cush that these aren't you shamed vans and the cushioning can take a minute to form to you as I bought the exact same pair a year ago and after a wears was fine but the ones I just bought a couple months ago I can't even wear them around the house without wanting to cry. The crazy part is that the right shoe in particular is cutting circulation.

The old style of this shoe used to have a cloth heel inside, now it has leather and the break in period is craaaazy. I have tried to break these in and each time the leather inside heel rubs horribly and I get really bad blisters :( sad that I can't wear the classic shoe style anymore.

I love my vans slip ons, been wearing for 30 years...these unfortunately are destroying my feet. Size up due to materials and fit but constantly rubbing my Achilles leaving painful blisters. I wish they fit better but won't purchase again

Had to return because you can barely squeeze your foot in and then they're so tight across the top of the foot

I truly didn't want to believe all the bad reviews about the PopCush skateboard slip ons. I've been a loyal Vans fan for years and absolutely LOVED the old UltraCush slipons (which they sadly no longer make). I thought maybe the negative feedback was just picky people but I was wrong. Painfully wrong. I spent $100 customizing a pair, hoping they'd somehow be different. Spoiler alert: they weren't. These shoes absolutely destroyed my heels. I've tried to wear them twice and both times ended up with blisters so bad I could barely walk. It's honestly shocking how uncomfortable they are. What makes it worse? Custom orders are not returnable. So I'm just stuck with a pair of shoes I'll never be able to wear. Total waste of money. And not to mention, they are very sloppily made. I never write reviews but I had to this time in hopes of saving someone else from making the same mistake. If you're on the fence, PLEASE listen: these are nothing like the UltraCush, they're painful, and they're a huge disappointment. Vans, you've got to do better. Bring back the UltraCush or fix the PopCush. This is unacceptable.
