These are some of the most comfortable shoes out there in my opinion. A lot of reviews mentioned that the heels cause you to get blisters. This is only true if you get your tight fit size. For example, I wear a size 12 in vans however I also fit and usually buy a size 13 to avoid the rubbing motion that happens and causes you to get blisters. In summary, get a size up. Alternatively, double sock. Great shoe, 10/10. Would recommend buying.

I love these shoes, but I did decide after I ordered them that I wanted a customized pair, so I had to return them. I almost didn't though! I looked into the box and couldn't stop staring

I ride bmx in these. They're durable and comfortable. Most of the time with no socks. Just slip em on and go the old school way

Trust me, if you millennial feet like mine, you'll appreciate the upgraded insole and support that the skate version has to offer. Plus, keeping that classic checkerboard on your feet, it's a win win.

They are elevated with the details of the grey checkered flags, grey skateboards on the back and the grey bottom underneath. Even the inside of them feature a racing aesthetic. You can style them with just about anything and still be athletic.

Nice long lasting shoe. Would recommend sizing up a full size unless you have very narrow, long feet. Especially if you have wide feet or high arches. But very comfortable shoes and nice suede.

I have been wearing Classic Vans Slip-On Checkerboards OG #98's, for 45 years. Over the years I have tried many different styles of Vans as well as other brands of shoes. My second favorite shoes has always been Converse Chuck Taylor's. No matter what brands I had/have in my closet I have always had a pair of Slip-On CB's in my arsenal. Fast forward to the 21st century, March 4th, 2021. I found out Vans launched a "new and improved" version of the classic's called "Skate Slip-On" specifically designed for the modern skate boarder. I had started skate boarding when I was about 12 years old, around that time is when I got my first pair of slip-on checkerboards. I have always been up on modern times and technological improvements but part of me was like, man why are they changing the OG classic? Still I of course had to try the new versions and I was pleasantly surprised. My skateboarding days are over but I really like the added cushion for my old tired feet. I spent a few years working in a rubber factory so I totally understand the changes in the Skate version. Overall they are an awesome shoe and are now my EDW's. I still keep a well broke in pair of OG #98's in my closet, some things will never change. Do yourself a favor and try out the Skate versions, you will not be disappointed. #sweepstakes

This has been my go-to shoe for years. So comfortable and very stylish.

Made for impact. Don't wear out as fast as the non skate vans. Insoles support my feet well, especially for somebody with flat feet.
