cute hat and is nice and cool, which is important to me since I live in Arizona and have never been a hat person because they are too hot. Nice coverage over my ears too. Shipping goofy, had to go to the post office to get it because UPS does not deliver. Wish they used a different shipper, but would not stop me from buying again.

Love the sun coverage. Wish these were a more stylish (not sure how) and wish the brims folded.

Keeping the brim perfect is impossible. As soon as you pull the headband tightening cinch, it creases the brim at the cinch line and there goes the unflawed brim; so just go ahead and accept that the brim is going to be bent and slightly irregular.

Great quality of hat. Light weight and protects my neck. Adventure style hat is too large around my face. I returned and bought a Sports style hat. I am happy with it.

Great sun coverage & only wish back flap stability in the wind

The size medium feels a little shallow in the dome/crown of the hat, and I wish the chin strap was detachable as there are times when I don't want to use it. Otherwise this is a high quality and beautifully made sun hat. Does the trick of keeping the sun off of my face while feeling cool, and fashionable.

The hat fits perfectly. You may have to use the chin strap in breezy weather since it's fabric is light.

I love Sunday Afternoon hats. Adventure hat is our family favorite. I noticed this time in ordering that I could only select S/M or L/XL. So I selected S/M. But the hat I received said M. So I assume there was a S size available too. Was disappointed bc S would have been a better fit for me. Why are the sizes combined instead of separate? I kept the M anyways but know that after a few washes it will be loose and likely not fit me any more. Other than this, the hat works well and is long lasting. My whole family and extended family has SUnday Afternoon hats.

you will love this hat. it is light, secure, and does the job. I have not had it long, but use it often. I am not sure how I have done without this hat till now.

I disagree with Sharon's review. I live in Tucson (desert SW), and this is my go-to hat to keep the sun off my head, face, and ESPECIALLY the back of the neck when I go out walking. I passed another guy along the wash who was wearing the same identical hat, so sorry to say, Sharon, that means you are out-voted two to one. If you want a true "vented" hat in the desert SW you pretty much have to go with a straw hat. All other hats will press against your head in some place or another, including this one. I have a long neck and if I am not wearing a collared shirt the back drape of this hat will not reach all the way to a t-shirt collar-line. But could you imagine how much sun would be hitting my neck with a regular 360 degree brim? The problem with brim hats is the sun is not always straight overhead. In the summer it gets hot quick, and in the winter the sun is lower in the sky. So that's why I like this hat - it gives sun protection when the sun is other than directly overhead.

I use this hat when working outside, gardening, fishing, and hiking. I like the draw-strap which keeps it from blowing off, and also the ventilation helps keep me cool. I also like that it is lightweight.

I wear one of these hats year round when I am outside. I keep 2 in the car, one by the barn, one on the porch, and one by front and back doors. I need to wear one outside in Arizona, and when rushing outside to take care of an animal problem, I sometimes forget, so I have one handy to grab before the sun gets to me. When I am in town, I get lots of comments about the sun protection and am asked where to get one. I show them the label or write the website down. I even wear one under my riding helmet since the largest won't fit over it. I love the big brims even if they do catch the wind, I do use the stampede string!

I've been wearing the hat for 2 years. It does a great job of keeping the sun off, but frankly I always feel self conscious in it - it's odd looking. You definitely need to use the chin strap when it's windy, it "magnifies" your voice to your own ears, and I wish the sweat band came out for easier cleaning. My next had will be the Sport Hat.

Discovered the wonderful qualities of this hat in the garden. Can't stand sunblock, and this hat has allowed me to garden for hours without burning my face or neck because the large floppy brim and protective cloth neck piece. Decided to wear it on the 6 mile walk/run I do 3 days a week along the ocean and it's a winner! The tie keeps it snug on my head when it's windy. Didn't think it was terribly stylish, as much as totally functional, but I've got to say I've been walking the ocean side Haul Road for over 20 years and never have I received so many compliments and envious looks with any other hat. Love it!

This is the best designed sun hat on the market and offers the best coverage, comfort, and range of use. I had one for years, which I lost and replaced. The older version had an adjustable headband, so I could adjust the tension for comfort or tighten it when windy. Now, there is an elastic which I can't loosen when I want the hat to sit lightly on my head, so I recommend buying the largest size, you can always tighten the headband as the adjustment clasp is still there.

Great hat overall. Brim bends easily and doesn't reshape.

This hat has great SPF protection. It looks a little goofy but gets the job done. I wear it when I go walking to protect the color on my hair.

This is the second one I have purchased. One thing I don't like about sun hats is that the brim in the back gets in the way. That is one of the things I love about this hat. You get the wide front brim that blocks the sun, and the back just covers the neck and doesn't get in the way. I also like a chin strap that keeps the hat from blowing off. The only thing that is odd to me is the elastic in the back. It sometimes feels a little tight. But all in all I love this hat.

I purchased this hat, but forgot it at my sister. When she was coming to visit, she put it flat in her suitcase, but when we unpacked, the brim was and still is all creased - this is a big disappointment, feels like the brim is made from a cardboard under the fabric. I expected better material from this hat. Great hat if you don't plan to take it on a vacation with you! This hat was placed FLAT in the suitcase and was not folded, yet got damaged, as you can't really flatten it out as a sheet of paper.

We bought this hat for my husband on Father's Day, in anticipation of his trip down the canyon. Very breathable and excellent sun protection, especially for his neck.

Wore this hat on a vacation to Kauai. Wore it hiking and kayaking; it got squashed, trampled on, and soaked in water but retained its shape through it all, and gave me excellent sun protection.

This is a much better value than the last summer sun hat I bought from a competitor (Solumbra). The fabric is a bit stiff and the style a bit dorky, but I don't care! It protects even the point of my nose from the sun and the chin strap keeps it from blowing off in the wind. I couldn't wear it in the summer sun and heat without the mesh and the sweat band. If possible, I'd like even more wicking and breathability. I'll be back for more next summer!

I love this hat because it keeps the sun off my face and the back of my neck. It has mesh areas around the top that lets the heat out and keeps my head cool. I like the way it folds up and can be stored in a small pouch. I love everything about this hat, except for one thing. After one use, the chin draw string came detached on one side. I intend to return the hat and ask for a replacement.

Have one of these in each of my cars as well as my purse. Lightweight, easy to carry & chin strap keeps us together. Perfect for my recent sun related issues. Easy to clean. Goes well with most items in my wardrobe. Breathable. Love this!

I've been wearing these hats for 10 years; love them, but...The problem is the plastic tube along the brim edget which holds it stiff. If it bends at all it becomes destablized and the hat shape begins to deteriorate quickly. I think it's time to find a material that bends and reshapes itself -- this would make it possible to roll and unroll the hat, etc. In addition, it begins to poke out of the material -- both ends of the plastic tube are sharp! Time for a next gen fix!
