I live in Seattle, WA and I don't like carrying an umbrella. This hat is wonderful. It keeps me dry and because of the drawstring it stays on my head. And the back and sides can be tucked under the hood of my rain jacket. I love it and wouldn't go anywere without it!!!

The vents keeps my head cool unlike other hats I have. I keep an extra one in the car so it's always available.

This is a very comfortable, light-weight hat. It did the job. I use the hat for working on our land.

I bought my first adventure hat more than a dozen years ago at the Rose Bowl Flea Market because I was desperate for some sun relief. To this day, I still consider it one of the best purchases I've ever made. My hat is still in great shape and I use it very regularly. I wash by hand (never in the washer), lay flat to dry and voila, it's good as new. Here's my quick summary of the hat: The good: - Lightweight, comfortable, and adjustable. - Wide, sloping brim keeps sun off your face during the midday. - Lightweight neck flap keeps the sun off your neck but can flip up (held by velcro tab) when you want a little extra air circulation. - Neck strap is very handy and has saved the hat from falling off my head while 1) riding a galloping horse, 2) sitting in a speeding boat, 3) windy days, and 4) riding top down in my husband's convertible. - The soft neck flap allows you to use this in the car too, without a hard brim in the back. The bad: - It's not the most delicate hat and it's NOT pretty but I'd rather be a little less fashionable today than have skin cancer tomorrow...! In all fairness, I do have a very early version of the hat (criss cross crown top) and it looks very safari-ish. There are cuter colors now. :-) All in all, this is THE best designed sun hat out there. It was worth every penny I paid when this first came out. I just ordered another adventure hat today in a cuter color. I'm looking forward to receiving it and wearing it out.

My husband, both kids, and I all wear these hats. They do an excellent job of preventing sunburn, are comfortable, and light-weight. We wear them everywhere in the summer. (beach, canoeing, fishing, yard work, outdoor festivals, etc). I have shoulder length hair and I often tuck my hair inside the hat and it's actually much cooler than leaving my hair down and not wearing a hat. We also love that they fold flat to pack.

I wear this hat 5 days a week. This is my 3rd hat of this style and I love it! I love the protection it gives my face, ears and neck.

I've had the white/blue adventure hat for about five years now. Used for boating and yard work. Cleans great in the washer, and virtually no wear and tear. I never thought the white would hold up so well. I just lost it and am buying the same hat again. These are lightweight as one reviewer put it, but are made to last, with quality materials. I live in Florida and have looked for years for a hat that's lightweight, durable, and covers the sides of my face, ears and neck.

This is my second hat. The first one is faded - wore it 5 years in the desert sun, and never one stitch has come out!! Perfect condition, only faded. Very lightweight and comfortable, even in the desert heat. Have also worn it in the water - a great hat! Have had many others, but this is my go-to" hat."

We (my husband, daughter, son, and I) used these hats and clothes long time ago, we all are very happy with them, The clothes are comfortable, light, and protect us from the sun. We recommend then 100%. Now my whole family is using the Adventure Hat, including my sisters and nephews of all ages.

This was the first sun protective hat that I purchased when it was suggested by my Dermatologist and it is still a favorite. I have worn it hiking, on the beach, and on the water. It packs well in a suitcase or backpack and gives great sun protection for my face. I use a little sunscreen for the back of the neck on windy days.

I've got 3 of these hats and love everyone of them. Since my skin cancer on my ears was treated, if I spend any extended time out in the sun, I have this hat on. Great protection from the sun on the ears and nose. I even purchased my dermatologist one of the hats and he likes his so much he sells them in his office. Well worth the money.

Use the hat when I am out in the sun having fun on our ATV. Keeps me cool and protected.

I have had this hat for at least 7 years. It has been fabulous and still in great shape. It has been my only go-to hat for birding and has gone everywhere from Peru to Ohio. The only reason I got a new hat was cause I wanted to try a different style. This one will still be used. My only complaint is the same one for all SA hats, it does not come small enough for us little headed adults. Yes I can cinch it down, but I don't like how it gathers in the back.

I work in the outdoor garden department of a major chain store. My primary job is keeping the plants watered, which means I am required to be in the sun throughout the day. I am a fair-skinned red head and need to stay protected. I went online to find sun-protection wear and was immediately drawn to the Adventure Hat. It is so lightweight and comfortable! It covers my ears and the back of my neck, which I seldom take the time to cover with sunscreen. (Plus the back of your neck is so hard to cover without help.) I have had men and women alike compliment me on my hat and ask where I found it, at which time I tell them about Sunday Afternoons and then remove it and show them all of its wonderful features: sweatband, adjustment strap, velcro tab to hold up rear veil, air vents at the crown, chin strap, and of course I hand it to them so they can see how little it weighs! It did not take long at all for me to start wearing it whenever I go out. I do not feel the least bit self-conscious wearing it, as I think that the style of the hat is really cool! I would have to say that the only negative I have found is that I had a hard time deciding on the color combination from all of the wonderful options. This is truly a wonderful hat! Please do not change or discontinue it!

I purchased this hat for my husband. It is exactly what he needs and wanted for work on our ranch. We are located in the high desert. It's a great and comfortable design.

I've worn this hat doing yard work and for hiking. It has great coverage and is comfortable.

I've been wearing this hat for 8 years. It has traveled to Belize, Brazil, and all over the USA. Kayaking, boating, hiking and shopping. Not only held up perfectly in spite of being folded, but no fading whatsoever. plenty of room for size adjustment, back Velcros up if desired.

This hat is very comfortable in all weather. Keeps me cool in the summer heat with sun protection. Especially love the back neck protection. Best hat!

I live it a very sunny, hot climate. This hat is lightweight, cool, and comfortable and stays on while I am working outside.

Great hat for sun protection and comfort. A friend had one at a resort in Belize, stayed on her head during boat rides and provided full face and neck protection. Ordered one when I got home for walking, boating and outdoor use and used all last summer. Ordered one in the Fall for a friend who needed full sun protection while undergoing chemotherapy, she was very pleased. Ordered 2 more as Xmas gifts. Roll up rear flap is very convenient in high winds and makes it a better choice than the Sundancer. Packs well and is very, very light on the head.

Everyone in our family has this hat including 3 kids with adult sized heads :) It has been great at the beach, gardening...anything outside. Many people have commented on the hats and asked us where we got them. It has great ventilation to let in a breeze while keeping the hot sun away. We can't say enough great things about this hat!! I just received this hat. I bought it for gardening and I think it will provide excellent coverage. It is my fourth Sunday Afternoons hat and I have been well pleased with all of them. The only thing I would suggest is that the sweat band go all the way around instead of just being in the front. Otherwise, great hat for those of us who realize the importance of sun protection!

I use this hat everytime I step outside. I love that it covers my entire face, yet I can still see my surroundings. It is water durable, and protects my ears and neck. I just love this hat!

As a postal letter carrier, I've tried many hats in order to keep the sun off of me. This hat is by far the best at maximizing sun protection while allowing the breeze to flow through. Easily rinses clean and dries in no time.
