I have bought many pairs over the years, and I always come back when I need another pair. They fit great, require virtually no break-in period, they are great for hiking the mountains in Colorado, they last a long time, and they look great too.

This is my 2nd pair of these boots. The first pair were the best hiking boots I have had but they wore out so ordered new ones. Very comfortable on long days, no "break in" required (they treat your feet nice right out of the box), good traction, fairly light weight for a full boot. I like the support they provide in rocky terrain. As with most Salomon products they may not be the longest wearing boots you have owned (last pair lasted 3 years) but the comfort far outweighs that one negative for me.

They are great boots, warm when cold and cool when hot. They are very water proof and grip well in the muck! Would recommend to anyone who spends time outdoors.

Bought these about a month ago and they were a perfect fit right out of the box. Wore them for a couple days at work to start breaking them in before my November Mule deer hunt. They are not for summer time. Your feet will roast but they should be perfect for cold weather and a good pair of socks! They have excellent support for a heavy load packing out!

Excellent, comfortable and good looking boots without the look of I wanna be a city Rambo. All day around boots and absolutely great performance off road

After a few little shopping trips, yesterday I went on a 15 mile walk along the river Weaver. All is well with my new boots. One slippery slope firmly navigated. Steep shale up and down more secure than me. Previously I put my foot in the bath and set the shower on it just to check for obvious leaks. None, and loved how the water droplets fell off like a newly painted windowsill. Those new tab design are an acquired taste. They make boot removal easier by simply pulling them apart thereby loosening lace but tightening the boot front top of foot is a time for dedication. But it can be done and once done it stays. The sole is the same as my last pair save for the moving of the little red triangle so expect wear rate to be the same though I'd swear the new ones are much stiffer (old ones worn down difficult to compare) I can't bend them by hand. My other pair of boots are Scarpa all leather which I usually take on camping trips for their heavy duty protection and lasting sole stiffness. Quest 4 being my pavement choice. That particular orientation may well change. New boots about 40g heavier than old ones but they are more substantial. Also 40g lighter than the Scarpa's. Love the new colour choice, really dapper on the High street. Like wearing a new Range Rover.

I am not a hiker or backpacker, I wear these because I have a very bad left ankle and they function as an ankle brace by pretty much immobilizing my ankle. Without them, I can walk only a few steps without stopping for the pain. I have tried many other boots and these are the only ones that help. I assume, but don't know, that they would be great for hikers and backpackers. The only issue I have is that the heels wear down very quickly, I go through a a pair about every 3 months - I wish they were Vibram or some other more durable material.

I am an electrician and am on my feet all day. Surfaces could 3" stone and smaller to concrete and dirt depending on the stage of the job. I have worn Redwings for most of my 39 years in the trade but had a friend tell me about these boots about 5 years ago. This is my third pair I've had and these are the most comfortable boot for my old tired feet. The footbed is solid yet provides spring and they wear really well. I do about 6-8 miles of walking a day and have probably put a couple thousand miles on each of these pairs of boots. Biggest concern is the rubber around the toe box, doing a lot of layout and being on one knee a lot can make it pull away from the boot. OVERALL GREAT BOOT and i will keep going back as long as they last like they have.

Got this pair based in the New York Times recommendation, as the best hiking booth in the market. So far after a few hikes I have to admit that the hype was true. It offers great protection and despite the bulk of the booth, never feels heavy.

I bought these for my hike up Kilimanjaro last year, and they are definitely the best hiking boots I have ever owned. They totally waterproof and the comfort level is above what I thought a hiking boot could be. I have used them extensively for almost a year now on numerous hikes between 5 and 20 miles and they are starting to show signs of wear, but I think this is the trade off you have to accept when wearing a more comfortable boot. I still hope to get a good bit more mileage out of them yet mind you!

I love these. They are comfortable and can take a whole day of walking without any problems on any terrain and weather. I've worn a pair daily on walks in the woods and hikes for 12.5 months before they developed a leak and were no good to me. I bought a replacement pair immediately and plan to wear them to the ground again. I wish the boots lasted longer though that would be perfection.

Bought these boots for my son. Just finished a multi-day backpack in the Sierras. Through streams, over snow, and up a peak with lots of talus, scree and boulders. Good grip. Very waterproof. Solid construction.

My first pair of Salomons. I thought the extra strapping was a gimmick but I really feel there is a lot of adjustability, surprising amount of solid heel support and comfort. Early days, but I like the toe room, solid feel, and amount of adjustability.

I've had a good half dozen of these boots over time. Solid, fits great, good grip, perfect for day to day wear, for me. I do take the insoles out and put in a stiff arch support because I'm getting flatter feet as I enter my 60's. Avid hiker, work all day on a concrete photo studio floor, feet are rarely tired. Love these boots, pray they continue this line for a long long time......
