The previous pair had done the miles before they split and the sole had worn thin. Light and very comfortable.

Bought these boots as a gift for my husband. His comment, "Best boot I've ever owned!" From Day 1, very comfortable, great support!

hello i bought these boots a month ago, I started hiking in preparation for Mt. Kilimanjaro , I have used them in long flat trails and rugged , rocky, inclined terrain here in NJ and so far these boots are soft and comfortable, I used them with a thin sock topped with a wool hiking sock on top. I have very bad feet even though I am a foot specialist. My feet health issues include 1 high arched feet that now with age started to collapse causing medial arch pain on my right foot, 2 metatarsalgia on both feet due to loss of the natural fat pad causing an increase in the plantar front pressure on my feet , 3 a small amount of osteoarthritis on my rt foot due to the collapsed arch and finally my feet are wide, with all these said, I am able to walk fine with these boots, I will not lie, i still suffer some of the discomfort of my conditions, but the boots do not increase my pain, they do not rub on the sides , the heels and ankles feel secure, the boots light enough that they feel as if thew were hiking sneakers, moreover I went to a creek and several puddles of mud and water and my feet were dry at the end of the hike, i am taking the to Kilimanjaro without a doubt. As usual, Salomon sizing is spot on and consistent. Size 11 fit perfectly. The boots are comfortable and completely waterproof. They are sturdy as well and can handle the most rugged terrain. I read through the reviews and thought some were ridiculous such as claiming the boots were worn only a handful of times over two years and were dissatisfied they were no longer under warranty. Also, any leather shoe requires some basic maintenance especially shoes that are used in wet conditions. Salomon has a great section on their website for leather care.

A bit heavy, but that doesn't impact my hikes at all. Sturdy, resistant, stable and waterproof... that's what I want and that's what I get. :)

I wasn't sure what boots to buy bc boots are pricey and then you don't wanna pay for something that not gonna leave you satisfied. After seeing a couple videos and reading reviews I'm glad to have chosen the quest 4. These boots are dope! They're worth every single dollar. They are comfortable, great quality, great design, awesome foot support, sturdy and true to size!

I am on my second pair of these boots and have only good things to say about them. For starters, the Quest 4 boots are probably the most stable pair I have owned. I regularly carry heavy loads over broken terrain and experience very little ankle roll or slip. From a comfort perspective they feel great and have just the right amount of cushion for what I do. Lastly, these boots have carried through some rough terrain and have held up great. My best example of this would be a recent trip to Iceland. The rocky environment can be a meat grinder for boots. These made the trek with very little in the way of unexpected wear or damage. I have used other boots but I always come back to my Salomons.

Got these in May 2023, got a couple hundred miles on them. In my original review I stated they needed a few miles to break in. They are now very comfortable and I have gotten used to the lacing up. We live in the Pac NW so very wet 8 months, these boots are great in the wet and offer great support on uneven surfaces. They are, for me, true to size.

Having multiple serious joint injuries, higher end "boots" is a must. These are well worth every penny, I have no complaints.

This is my 4th pair of this hiking boot and I find they fit well and are good on all trails, but especially rugged trails. I usually get about 1200 miles on these before they start wearing out. They are comfortable right out of the box with no break-in period. They've traveled the world with me.

Purchased these boots about six weeks ago. They seem to be well constructed but too soon to rate the durability. So far have kept my feet dry!

I wrote wore these boots during my recent hunt. 5-10 miles every day. They were very comfortable. They were new, so I was worried about pinch points or rub spots. I had zero issues with comfort. They were rugged and supportive, but not constricting. Highly recommend.

Bought these after looking around for a good pair of boots for work and these are amazing. Went straight on an Exercise and my feet were my only dry limbs. Was able to run / walk for hours with no issues or pains / aches & No break in needed at all. 100% would recommend (especially for military personnel)

I bought these boots after a backpacking elk hunt in rough country to have a backpacking boot to give me the additional ankle support I needed when carrying a heavy pack. I haven't been on another hunt in that country, but these have been comfortable and great from the first time I put my feet in them. They will definitely go with me on my next hike or backpack in rough country.

This is my second pair of soloman boots, each time they have been very comfortable and easy to wear. Double knots essential, but I've been over hill and dale in these boots and my feet never ache

I bought these boots to take on a 7 day pack trip in the Bridger - Teton wilderness. On day 3 it started raining and then rained for three consecutive days! I will testify that these boots are waterproof! I wore the Quest 4 boots along with Darn Tough Merino wool socks and my feet stayed dry. We were committed to the trip lol, we were around 50 miles in the wilderness when it started raining. Our gear made the difference between a memorable experience and a miserable experience. I can't say how durable the Quest boots are yet but so far I like them. They are comfortable, easy to break in, and definitely waterproof.

Soooo happy with these boots! Super comfortable, easy on/off, great ankle support, warm and dry, The lace system is better than other boots I have had in recent years. With other boots, I'd lace them up, do a double knot (as if I were 6 years old), and after 5 minutes, the laces would stretch out, and I would have to tighten them again. Not with these boots.Still doing a double knot, but they stay tight on the first tie. Finally, I was concerned if paying this much really would really be worth it compared to lower price points available. Yes, Definitely!.

Tons of stability, waterproof and still going strong after around 200 miles. The boot is very stable and has ample toe space for wider feet. You can also run a bit down hill in them as well.
