These are impressive. A lot of hiking boots feel like you're wearing sneakers. Less rugged feel. Not these boots. These are boots. Rugged and they are solid. Comfortable to your foot. Good stuff.

Perfect! This is my first pair of Salomon hiking boots. I've favored leather boots (Asolo) in the past and decided to give these a try. They are probably the most comfortable boot I've ever worn: light, hold and support the foot well without being too tight. Great tread, sturdy and stiff sole (which I find is a plus). Been wearing them for about a month now and they only get more comfortable. The lacing pattern is new to me and I found (for a size 12) the 88" laces to be too short for my taste so I bought a 96" lace and I am very happy. Thank you
I'd also recommend:

My husband loves these boots but had a slight problem with the sole when a section tore away. Salomon was excellent in processing the replacement under the warranty. Great company, Great boots.

Normally, I try shoe after shoe at the store, walk around in multiple pairs, and still can't make a decision. The Quest 4 Gore-Tex Boots were love at first fitting. I tried them on and knew they were the right boot. Great support, very comfy. Light weight, easy to hike in. Didn't have to break them in. I prefer a little wider size than normal, but this boot had enough room for me. I would re buy them.

My first pair of Salomon boots... I was a fan of another brand previously, but their quality seems to have declined. These fit well, they are firm, supportive, and comfortable to wear all day. I've worn them for a couple of months, so I can't say much for their durability, but I'm guessing I will get many miles out of them.

This products offers exactly what they promise, it's a great boot for general purpose, good for summer and excellent for more cold enviroments where the Goretex lining shines and keep water out and your feet warm.

I am a Clydesdale: 6'2" and 235 lbs on a good day. 2 steel hips and a fused heel. When I buy my backpacking boots, I "go ugly, early".
Up:
Easiest high top hiking boots I have ever slipped my feet into. It's like putting on a ski boot. 2 years ago, I hiked about 200 miles in my Vasque Breezes. Loved them, but then Vasque "dumbed down" the Breeze. Salomon was a Dark Horse candidate that has now become a favorite. Slightly lighter than my old Breezes and better toe box fit and good foundation support. A blessing on the rockier trails and pavement.
Down:
Putting on the the speed lacing works well. Getting the laces out of the bottom hook was absolutely hateful for the first 3 months. I have figured out the proper body English and use of force and everything seems to work well now.
Hmmmm...
A very different top of the boot design where it wraps around your leg over the ankle. The Breeze was a solid horizontal wrap and felt very secure. This is a more contoured wrap that is comfortable and seems to provide adequate for the trails I am hiking while carrying a 20 lb pack. Time will tell.

I've been using these boots in various names (4D 3GTX etc) for many years now and gone through quite a few pairs. These ones I've just got as a replacement as the locking hook for the laces had a defect but Salomon replaced them under warranty, albeit under duress. These must be around the 10th or 11th pair I have had and they're second to none. Comfortable straight out of the box, supremely comfortable once broken in to the point I would wear them over anything else I own or have ever owned!! They're not cheap but they're not silly expensive either, often find them with a reasonable discount from various authorised sellers. They don't last as long as some boots and I find all mine tend to split next to my big toe but they do some serious mileage! Awesome boots.

Bought these for a hiking trip in the Azores. Hiked in them for a couple of months prior to work them in though they seemed fine right away. Have been great so far. No blisters through the whole trip and they were fantastic for the Mount Pico hike. Didn't feel as bulky as I was worried they might and are good ankle support. I find some Salomon hiking shoes can fit on the narrow side but these were fine in my regular size

Bought these for my husband's birthday. He loves them, the look, the feel. They are light and very comfortable but giving ankle support all the same.

I ordered these from thier website. Arrived quickly. These are truly great hiking boots. Goretex and a hard sole. It just doesn't get any better. I only changed the laces to black to be a little more subdued. I would buy another pair when it's time to replace them.

Salomon products are top tier. I purchased these boots a month ago and they feel terrific. I've worn Salomon boots for over 12 years.

I've been a loyal customer since 2D CHASSIS that had been 10+ years. I've tried on every brand of hiking/workers boot out there and Salomon has always gave me the best support, comfort, and durability. My feet are so comfortable and don't fatigue when I wear Quest 4D for work with 2@ 4 hour periods on my feet Monday-Friday. Through 2.5 years the material of the shoe will start to separate with aggressive use and 3.5 years for the tread to bald with aggressive use.

These boots are fantastic, so much support around the ankle is just what I needed as I suffer from weak ankles. The quality of the materials used is of a high standard.

We all know of this boot, you always see people wearing it and Salomon and first experience with them was this year and the boot has stood up amazing so far. Constructed well and holds your ankle and foot like a tank. I've used them from everything from hiking, walking, city runs and last weekend fishing off jetties where I was constantly climbing up and down and on and off sharp rocks all day. Very happy with these.

I wear my Quest boots for work, I spend 12-18 hours at a time mostly walking around, can't say enough about them. I have a bad back to being with and these help a little, I did use top end insoles, which I recommend. Buy with confidence

Over the last 10 years, I have purchased or recieved as presents, three different iterations of the same boot and there is a reason I keep coming back. They are rugged, comfortable, and durable... I would recommend this to anyone from a daily hiker, to a cold weather winter boot, these do it all.
