Very nice shoes withe a beautiful design and reliable.

This is my third pair of x ultra hiking shoes. Comfort and the protection provided by the soles are the main factors in my preference for this shoe.

I'm using -almost everyday for the whole winter- the Ultra Goretex since it's early models from 2018. It's sufficiently warm, comfy, reliable on snow/rain and easy to wear/unwear with its Quicklace tech, both for urban and mild hiking purposes.

I walk daily over rough tracks, fields and country paths with my German Shorthaired Pointer - 15 to 20 km/day. There's damp brush, loose ground, mud, ice and snow. These shoes are excellent for mixed surfaces, and the moment I put them on, they were good to go

These definitely require some break-in before heading on a long hike. Previous versions (my 3rd pair) we're not as stiff. They fit well and last a couple years for me. I wear them as my everyday shoes.

I have only had them for a little over 3 weeks. They appear sturdy and I have purchased a similar shoe by Salomon on 4 occasions and am a big fan of the X-Ultra. My only complaint is that they are still exceptionally stiff after 3 weeks.

Great shoe for my son with learning difficulties (not having to tie the lace) - looks good and is a proper walking shoe. What drives me mad is that for that price, I expect better durability. All of the shoes (have had 4 pairs so far) fail the same way. The fabric of the upper inner heel/ankle starts to break up. Please can something be done about this.

Comfortable, waterproof, easy to pull on and off, good grip, look good. Great shoes!

Love these shoes. Lacing system fits super well, and is easy to use. I've hiked about a hundred miles in them and they were comfortable from the start. Waterproofing held up great and the Gore-Tex breathes well. Just ordered another pair in MID height.

After researching hiking shoes, I purchased this shoe due to it's appearance, durability, and waterproof Gore-Tex. So far, I have owned the shoes for close to a month and have been fairly pleased. The only disappointment is the shoes come with a very thin, poorly padded insert that feels very cheap. I removed the insert and replaced it with a more stable and supportive one since I have a higher arch. Since then, the shoe has performed very well!

Have used this model for several years. Was a hit disappointed with previous shoes but this new pair fit well, feel good on and I am pleased I did not change brands

After initially having to return my normal size for a size up, only reason I gave 4 stars, I really enjoy wearing these shoes and have no wearing in issues what so ever. Looking forward to taking them out for more exploring.

I have had these for 9 months and they have held up very well. Happy with the purchase.

take a bit to break in but then super comfy , speed laces are nice

Well made shoes that are very comfortable. Happy the way they fit and have held up well to the water so far.

I've owned several pairs of these shoes over the years. They are great but there are some things to be aware of. The gore-tex certainly makes them water resistant but also warm. So wearing them on a hot summer day kinda sucks of your busy going for a walk. Also, every pair I've owned over the past 4 years eventually has the sole come unglued eventually. I'd give them 5 stars if it wasn't for the previous pairs comjng apart.

Updating a previous entry-although a big snug initially, these seem to be a bit more comfortable as I work them in. Still more comfy than the Speed Cross. Thinking about getting a 2nd pair for the winter.

This is my second pair. Love these shoes, especially the Quick Lace system. I bought these for a two-week hiking trip and wanted to have an extra pair, just in case. They are great for hiking and for being waterproof. Only reason for the 4 stars is they gave me a small blister on the first day. But I guess that's my fault for not breaking them in before the trip.

These are an excellent pair of shoes which appear to be well made, however I'd advise you to try before you buy as like a lot of Solomon shoes they are narrow! I wish they would cater for the average person and not the few!!

These are excellent trail shoes, but they're a little snug. I could have used a 1/4 size larger, but I know that's not a thing. I'm concerned, though, how my feet would feel after a very long hike.

I bought these shoes about a month ago as a summer low cut replacement shoe for my winter high top Cross Hike 2s. The shoes fit great and the Gortex works well. I wanted a tread that didn't wear too quickly with a lot of hard surface walking as compared to trail runners. So far they have been durable. They are not as cushioned as as my Cross Hike 2s. Also, the tongue has tendency to slide to the side a bit. Overall very pleased with the shoes.

I bought the Salomon X ULTRA 4 WIDE GORE-TEX shoes for my hiking trip and I was not disappointed. They are comfortable, waterproof, and durable. They also have a wide fit, which is great for my big feet. The only downside is that they are so good that I don't want to take them off. I wear them everywhere: to work, to the grocery store, to the movies. My friends think I'm crazy, but I don't care. These shoes are the best thing that ever happened to me.

Good stuff. Lightweight, but durable. I really like it!
