They arent the quest but for a lighter shoe its perfect. The shoe is ready to go out of the box but starts to fit perfectly after about a week of regular wear. Swapped the laces for speed laces and I love the fit. The Color is super unique and the shoes are great day to day wear

Bought these to replace my battered, worn out (and totally loved) previous model. So so comfy! The new model is different, but after a few short break-in walks, they're also brilliant! Very light - don't know you've got them on - very waterproof - perfect for my kind of trekking.

Bought the black/magnet/pearl when they first came out back in 2021 and didn't get around to wearing them until 2023. I have a pair of black X Ultra Mids from 2014 that have held up to now and still continue to wear them. I've put a tons of miles on those and while the sole has worn down, they still provide sufficient grip on trails. The new boots feel more supportive than my old Mids but overall like them.

Comfortable, can withstand rough terrain, great grip and mud washes off easily..Best hiking boots I've had and this is my 3rd pair.

I bought them a month ago, and they felt comfortable right out the box. No complaints. Love these boots, and I have received a lot of compliments.

Got these with the intent to do big miles, light and fast. These preform absolutely amazing. Feel, traction, weight, quality, all top tier. Well done Salomon.

I bought this boot one month ago, and I am so happy I did. I was bought these boots because I was preparing to move overseas to live in very difficult terrain, and I've worn them every day and haven't been disappointed. The traction is almost too good as I've been tracking mud everywhere I go, but I'm thrilled with my purchase. The boots are comfortable and rugged and stylish.

I perchance these for tactical operations! They are light and extremely durable. The tread is perfect for all terrain. I will be purchasing more for other operations!!!

This is my 3rd pair since they were introduced, getting hundreds of miles on rocky Appalachian Trails...always feel sure-footed, soles are strong, even on sharp rocks, and they provide a secure grip. No leaks through the Gore-Tex, and the fabric holds up well. I have narrow feet, and these fit well once the laces are snugged up. I'll buy a 4th pair when I wear these out.

The X ULTRA 4 MID GORE-TEX are great around hiking boots for all weather conditions. I routinely wear mine for over 12 hours and they provide the support and protection that I have asked of them. I have recommended these boots to a number of my colleagues.

I have purchased 2 pairs of these boots in 4 years. They feel like a tennis shoe but with the support of a boot. My pairs have been through rough terrain, 16 hr training days, workouts, and outdoor ranges. They have held up in comfort and being waterproof. Best boot/shoe out there.

Really dig the new look of the X Ultra 4. Performs as expected in all conditions (dry, wet, mountains, shoreline, urban). This is my 4th pair in this model, have owned numerous others models which have all functioned exceptionally well.

Being a runner and having used all sort of running shoes , I found my search land on this shoe. At first I was apprehensive about the harder sole compared to big cushion running shoes I am coming from but, the grorilla grip and comparatively lighter weight in its category of shoes, this one has easily become one of my favorite shoe to grab for not just hiking and dog walks but shopping and visiting friends too. One does feel big gravels under the shoe but the tactical look is unmatched with any other hiking boot. @ 45 days of rugged use , it's looking like it will last atleast few years . I even tried running in these and didn't feel extra weight of them. So I recommend this for both a new as well as an experienced hiker.

These hold up to their predecessors. These boots are very comfortable and supportive. The only thing I would change is the black decorative strap they added up the sidewall. Makes them look a bit like basketball shoes.

I bought these because the danners I've always bought I can't seem to get anymore. I'm glad I did !

I have a demanding job as a beverage distributor, I work all year long in every condition. This is the only shoe that keeps my feet dry no matter how worn out they get, I have been using them for years and nothing else compares

My dad absolutely loves these. He's outside all day and hikes as well. They hold up to any element.

I was going back and forth between these and the Salomon Forces boots. I made the decision to go with these and that was a great decision! They're lightweight fit great and are extremely comfortable. I've also hiked up to 10 miles in them and after that hike I came home and ordered another pair in a different color.

Had my on these for a while. I like the insoles and well padded tongue.

These are my fourth pair of Salomon shoes - the boots all fit very well, but the sneaker did not. They are breathable and waterproof. Great boot.

Right from the box to the trails. Perfect fit, comfortable and baptized in mud, streams and various other terrains.

Bought a month ago and used a few times, they needed bedding in like all walking boots but are very light, durable and comfy. Love them so far!

Very happy with these boots. My last pair lasted over 4 years of literally abusing them daily. I wear these for hunting, fishing and work!
