Great Comfort, support, and love the toe guard! So far has held up very well.

Great support and kept my feet dry in Olympic national park during the winter. Would definitely recommend these as an all around hiking shoe.

My pair of the predecessor version finally wore out after many years. This version is even lighter, has one fewer set of hooks so easier to tie, feels secure and comfortable for light hiking.

This is my third pair of Solomon boots to own. I primarily use them for hiking and nowadays, I'm using them for work. I am a service provider in the plumbing and heating industry. These boots are great, very lightweight, and keeping my feet dry when I happen to get myself wet in the field. I recently took them on a three night, 25 mile backpacking trip. I knew they were going to do good. Of course they did. This pair is now 6 month old. In the photos I added, the boots have not been cleaned from my most recent backpacking trip. I go pretty hard, and they are still going.

I bought these boots to replace my hiking shoes and I have to say that I am a fan of the improved ankle support & comfort. I have tested these boots with some light hiking, where I walked through some deep puddles, and I can confirm the waterproofness of these boots. I usually wear a US 9.5 2E Wide, but I had to get these boots in a US 9 to fit me comfortably. I had originally ordered a US 9.5 which fit a bit large, and I exchanged them for a 1/2 size down. I am quite satisfied with the return process and received a refund for my original pair in a reasonable time, and with no hassle.

Bought these for my husband who has a hard time finding 10.5 Wide size in higher quality shoes. He's been wearing these for three weeks non stop! They run true to size, lightweight

Very happy with these boots. Very light while surprisingly sturdy.

I have worn these for dog walking for 3 or 4 weeks and they are very comfortable; the wide fitting is a great bonus. The guarantee claim response is also impressive, I had an issue with the first pair but I was quickly given approval to order a new pair. Very simple and definitely customer focused.

I recently returned from a 30-day backpacking trip in SW Wyoming through a NOLS program. we walked 150 mils sometimes walking for 10 hours each day. walked through Bolders, rivers, snow, ice, marshes, you name it. I had no blisters, I even walked for days in a row with (wet feet from water pouring in threw the top of the boot) and experienced no foot pain and really very little discomfort, although wet feet in general is uncomfortable, these boots were still amazing. I am more than happy with my x ultra's. overall great boot. God bless and keep making GREAT SHOES.

I ordered this pair of hikers for a 4 day camping adventure. I broke the cardinal rule and wore brand-new boots on a multi day excursion. These boots were exceptionally comfortable the entire time. The gore-tex kept my feet dry all the way until the 3rd afternoon after hiking through wet understory during a constant but light rain. I should add, the previous days had rain, as well as lake water splashes onto the shoes as I stood at the shore to collect water and my feet stayed dry that entire time. On the final day, even though they were still damp, I wore wool hiking socks and the dampness was negligible. The boots are light, comfortable, and look great (colour clones of the slate/blue Sense Ride 3 trail runners) and overall I am so pleased with this purchase. The one thing I will say is, my feet are 8.5s and I ordered size 9 as solomon has a reputation for runnign a bit narrow/tight, and I definitely made the right call.

Light, comfortable and sturdy straight out of the box. Well made boots especially suitable for hot climates.

I've only had these a few weeks, but they're light and very comfortable. I was looking for a hiking boot that felt more like a running shoe, and this for the bill, with good ankle support.

Super light. Insanely comfortable. The fit (for my feet) is perfection.

I've been looking for a new pair of boots for my job in horticulture. I've used and enjoyed Merrell, Columbia and Lowa's but still have been looking for the perfect boot to be comfortable and keep my feet dry. I've been loving my first venture into Salomon, they are incredibly comfortable right away and I am literally blown away by how light they are. Hopefully time will prove there durability, but I do love the 2 year warranty.

A great show that is reasonably light, comfortable and waterproof too. Minimal break-in time, if any. I bought these X Ultra 4 Mid as an alternative to my Quest 4 GTX boots for times when I do not need the additional support that the Quest provides. I bought the same size as the Quest that I already have. The X Ultra's are a snugger fit than the Quests even though they are the same size (both men's US 11.5). The Ultra's fit more like a shoe while the Quest's fit more like a boot - which is fine and, I assume, by design.

These are the third pair of Ultra Mids I've bought. Like the others, they're really good and very supportive without being stiff or heavy. They're the best yet.

Great hiking boots. So comfortable I wear them daily. I have a narrow foot and fit is perfect.

It passed all my tests for easy terrain and hope it to stand out similarly in the rugged terrain.

Had Salomons before and they took a long time to break in. This time bought the wide fit and they are like wearing carpet slippers. Very light but secure around the ankle and watertight. A great purchase.

So happy this is intended for wide feet. Fits my custom orthotics perfectly. That can be a challenge. Awesome and comfy.

Wore these in mountains of Colorado and they were so comfortable

This is my third pair of Salomons. I'm hard on shoes and other brands wear out in less than a year. I get two to three years out of my Salomons. I can't recommend these highly enough for someone who wants a good looking, rugged, long-lasting shoe.
