I used to be an avid Minimus wearer before the line was discontinued, and I haven't been able to find anything close to them. I never thought to look at Merrell, but a quick and desperate internet search for minimalist and barefoot running shoes brought me to these. These shoes are wonderful. I don't think I have ever had a shoe that felt immediately conformed to my foot and broken-in. Right out of the box, I have been able to run with these and it's been amazing.

I've worn my Trail Glove 4s till they were practically threadbare. When I went to order the 5 or 6 version of this shoe, I was not impressed with the reviews. I wanted a lightweight barefoot type shoe and decided on the Vapor Glove 5. I almost gave a 4 star rather than a 5 star review based on comfort yet feel like these will soften up a bit after wearing a few times. I love Merrells....period. They are my go to walking shoe. The new tongue one piece is a nice addition and the laces are long. I typically go up a half size on an athletic shoe which I did this time. But for a fraction of an inch, these could be too big. So be mindful if you tend to increase your size. Overall, well satisfied!

Take the time to ease into a new way of walking and experience the awakening of your feet. It's worth it!

I needed to order a 1/2 size larger. I'm not a runner but walk my dog 4 times a day. I love feeling the ground under my feet. This is my second pair...I bought the first version of barefoot shoe and wanted another

I love the new design of these shoes! The 4s were great but I did not love the laces or the tongue as it would slide around and cause irritation and make my feet look sloppy. The 5s have a tongue that is connect so I don't have to worry about it slipping around. The laces are longer and easier to tie. The shoe is also shorter in the toe and with the tongue being connected it slips on like a glove! I absolutely love this pair and am tempted to buy a second before they change the style of the shoe to the 6. When I bought these a month ago they only had the color gray for women and three color options for men and I was a little disappointed as I loved my teal 4s last year. However they have added more colors for women and I am thrilled! Great work Merrell/ Vibram. Best barefoot shoe yet!

Lightweight but tough. I love wearing them to walk around the neighborhood. I stand up straight and use my whole leg to walk. I feel the ground and use my toes.

Simply heavenly! I have a history of hating sneakers, as they are so heavy on my feet. These are the exact opposite. They are light, and well designed. I walked several miles today with my new Vapor Gloves 5 and I have zero pain in my feet and legs, and zero blisters!!! I don't feel them. I am going to stock on them!!! :)

I took one star off because I wish the toebox was a little wider, but it does the job well. I have relatively narrow feet, so this isn't the biggest of issues for me. If you're looking for 'support' or 'cushion', this shoe is not for you. Hence the name, 'barefoot'. I lift and regularly walk around in these shoes. I did have to size up, though. I am typically an 8.5 (39 EU), but returned for a 9. The 9's work great.

Bit small for 6.5. I usually wear 6.5 with socks very comfortably, these fit tight bare feet

This shoe does fit light a glove. Extremely lightweight.

So I love the barefoot shoes. I'm sad that they don't have more options but I still buy the vapors when they bring out a newer version. I love how this shoe fits and looks. It's very comfortable and super light. The only thing I don't really like is the heel area. It's not very flexible and tends to rub the back of my heel a little if I don't wear socks. Other than that this is a great shoe.

very nice minimalist shoes. It's my first pair and I'm glad I've bought them. I would have prefer a bit more comfort inside near the toes but all and all, I like them ! I wear them very often with a very small sock and that solves the problem

My first barefoot shoe - mostly comfy and fits to size.

I bought these for my commute to and from work. Found them a little wide (I usually buy men's sizes to alleviate this) but tying them a little more snugly results in a good fit without (!) blisters. They are very comfortable for walking and definitely mimic the barefoot feel (I usually wear barefoot sandals throughout the summer). I'm a little concerned about the durability of the outsole - it seems soft and has already started to wear under the ball of the foot (I probably have 40-50km on these), so I would recommend a modification to the outsole in future version, especially since many of us wear these on pavement. The colour is fun (I got the Spearmint) and i'm a little sad to see no similar colour availability for the 6.

I have narrow feet and love these shoes! They have a wide toe box necessary for the natural spreading and stretching of toes, which is hard to find in modern shoes. These shoes are lacking the awesome arch support from the previous Version 4, but I wear them almost every day and actually bought a second pair. I like these shoes much better that the Version 6.

I love the lightness of this shoe and the barefoot minimalist feel you get when you run with these shoes. My only complaint is how narrow the toe box is. It's impossible to splay your toes in these shoes which is what our toes are designed to do.

These shoes are definitely barefoot. My only complaint is that I wish the middle of the shoe was more tapered to the foot.

They are very comfortable. They fit like a glove. They are light as vapor. However the sole is thin and wore out very rapidly, making a hole at the heel. I do walk every day for at least 35 minutes, no more than an hour, and for 2 hours on Saturdays. Took them in the woods, on the road, to the river, on gravel paths.

Great fit! This is my first pair of minimalist shoes, and I mostly use them for weekend errands. I'm in love and wish there was a greater variety of colors available because I'd definitely purchase again.
