Amazing shoe! This is my first ever barefoot shoe and it's just wonderful. I wear a 6.5, which is also what I ordered. It's a little snug, my toes are right up against the shoe, so I do recommend sizing up by .5 if you plan to wear no socks I'd go with your true size. If you're a sick wearer I'd size up

I loved the Vapor Glove 4. I have 3 pair of them in different colors. I am disappointed with the Vapor Glove 5. They cost too much for a discontinued shoe. The quality control doesn't seem to be as good as the Vapor Glove 4. The shoes run a bit small in comparison. I measure a 7.5 but buy size 8 sneakers. My toes touch the end of the shoe. The 5 doesn't have a separate tongue. I might ease into liking them better (I bought 2 pair) but feel meh about them. By the way, I also loved the Vapor Glove 3. I wish the Vapor Glove 4 were still available in different colors.

Love the idea but these shoes are not the size they are suppose to be. About a size too small.

The shoe was too small. I have worn Merrell for a number of years because they worked well for my feet. I've worn the same size and no, my feet haven't grown:) However, in my opinion and experience, the quality of Merrell shoes has declined. I'm disappointed because Merrell was my go to for a comfortable, stylish casual shoe.

It's alright. Not as good as previous models. Narrow in the foot but not as severe a change as in the Trail Glove model. Extremely squeaky. So far hardwood, vinyl plank, linoleum, tile, hospital flooring and laminate floors cause extremely loud squeaki6with the slightest movement. Wish I could have found that out but you can only try them for a minute or so without wearing the security thing off that makes them indelible for returnsbfor being "worn". They are decent enough. But the narrower footbed is a bit uncomfortable and the squeaking is almost unbearable. I would have returned them even though I kind of like them.

As others have said on here, this size runs small. I normally wear 9-9.5 but this one squeezed my toe so bad I got an ingrown toenail. I should have gotten the 10, but I think that would have been too wide for me as well

They were close to what I wanted as very lightweight and a lovely colour but the hard tips over the toe area hurt my toes

They are a little tight in the toes (which I'm trying expanders to see if will help), and squeak terrible during my workout which are making me embarrassed and hesitate to fully engage in the group class.

The whole point of a barefoot shoe is to provide space for the foot to splay. This shoe is designed to allow the joint between the 1st metatarsal and the big toe to bend inward--which is completely contradictory to what a barefoot shoe should do. Additionally, if your foot is narrow over the tarsals and your arch, it's impossible to get the shoe tied in a way that is both comfortable and prevents slide within the shoe---even using the extra holes at the top, this barely worked---and then the front of the shoe gets convex, and the tongue is overlapping itself... so basically if your heel and mid foot are wide, and you don't have to tie the shoe tight, the front of the shoe will cause your big toe joint to bend (because if I can't splay my narrow foot, you can't either).

I love most barefoot Merrells because they manage to wrap my feet in comfort without being too bulky and heavy. These just don't have that usual cozy feel. They qualify as minimalist, just not as comfy as my others.

Runs small. I have a pair of the Vapour Glove 4's and the 7.5 fits perfectly. I am a 7.5 across most shoe companies, or a 7. I am going to try sizing up to an 8 in these, hopefully they don't end up too big. Toe box seems a bit more narrow than the 4's. But the grippy sole, sock-like feel, and flexibility are still in the 5's.

I've worn the vapor glove for years and bought two pair. Very disappointed. The high back curls in and causes blisters on my ankles.

These were perfect for me the first time I bought them when they first came out but the newer models have arch support in all the wrong places for me and this new 'old model' the heel comes up higher than the earlier ones they made (digging into my achilles). I put it side by side with my old pair and it's just not the same. So sad not to have access to a shoe I used to love so much!

I love merrill shoes and own that I did not see these had laces instead of a zipper. The shoes are comfortable. The laces drive me nuts as they serve little purpose and frequently come untied.

I bought these because I had purchased the previous model and loved them. These however have a much wider toe box and a different lace system that doesn't work as well for my narrow feet.

The shoe itself looks great and I feel like it's really nice quality material, And vegan friendly, so two thumbs up on that!!! :) I'm someone who is mostly barefoot and most comfortable walking / running / playing bare foot, therefore was hoping for a little more wideness in the toe area to accomodate for that healthy toe spread. I've become accustomed to the xero brand shoe where my toes feel like they're free all the time... All in all, these new Merrell's are 'okay' for me, but for my feet, I most likely won't purchase again unless a wider toe bed is created. Thanks!

While the vapor glove 5 is not a bad shoe, it is a completely different shoe than the vapor glove I fell in love with and have worn as my go to shoe for the last few years. The change to a more elastic ankle was unfortunately what has cause me to give this less than 5 stars. The previous vapor gloves have always had absolutely raving reviews from me (I even converted a few coworkers) but I am sadly not as impressed with the new 5.

I've been running exclusively in Vapor Gloves for years and was a little disappointed with the 5s, specifically the lack of a tongue. I keep my laces pretty loose and prefer a loose fit across the top of my foot (at the highest point of my arch). With there not being a tongue, there's significantly less adjustability in that area, and the 5s feel tight in a way that I don't like. I can imagine that the lack of tongue would feel more comfortable for some, but I'll be returning these.

I think I have been wearing the vapor gloves since their 1st launch. They've had many changes but this last one has finalized that this will be my last purchase. The shoe has an odd seam/sole angle that rolls the foot to the inside. At first I thought perhaps my feet have changed but after speaking with retailers and other customers I realize it is the design. It's a shame as I guess the minimal shoe has lost it's place with Merrell.
