While I like the low profile look of this shoe, the sole seems more substantial that the usual barefoot style shoes, and the body is far too narrow to allow all but the most narrow of feet to splay toes fully and unrestrained. If Merrell wants to create a line of shoes somewhere between traditional gym shoes and barefoot shoes then maybe something like this would fit in that category, but these just don't seem "barefoot" to me. I have a pair of TG 4 e-mesh that I wear to work (I am on my feet and moving most days, sometimes all day), sometimes every day of the week, that show zero signs of wear other than to the bottom of the soles. Merrell needs to bring something very similar to those back. Wish I had bought 3 pair before they went away. I would only recommend these to someone looking for a low profile shoe without traditional barefoot specs.

Every year I buy multiple TG. I had TG3, 4, and few pairs of TG 5 are my favorite... what happenss to the colors? some of us girls like bright cool colors. I am going to wait.

I can't help but to wonder why someone thought this sole design would work for trail running. I buy TG's every year - in multiple colors. TG4 is still my absolute fav in every possible way, but I do have several TG5's, as well. This sole is just sad. Might as well buy Keds or Skechers. No TG6 for me.

Hurting my heels no support wish I could return them

The toe box is significantly more narrow to the point where these are painful for me. I also find these shoes are more narrow in every way due to the extra elastic straps included down the sides with the lace eye loops. Zero drop shoes from Merrell in wide have been scant to non-existent, but the trail glove 5 shoes could be a very good substitute. Trail glove 6 shoes are not built the same.

I am incredibly sad to say that I do not like this shoe, my normal size fit too snug and is so unbelievably uncomfortable in a place my foot has never had shoe pain before. I have been wearing various Merrells for years and tried this version because my regular one has been discontinued. But the discomfort in this shoe was a shock, I've never had an even slightly uncomfortable Merrell, but this one was truly unwearable after trying them for three days. They are super cute, but a terrible fit.

I normally LOVE the glove shoes. I ordered 2 colors of these and they ran so small and narrow I had to return them both. Very unusual for Merrells!!!!

I bought these a few days ago, what a waste of money! Should have known when they said sale is final!

I just received my shoes and I'm very disappointed in how my foot feels in them. I bought a medium wide width and I couldn't hardly fit my foot in them . They aren't true to the size.

Too narrow and stiff and I have incredibly skinny feet. Put my foot into one of them then packed them up and returned them

I bought these and immediately returned them. Thick, stiff sole. Hard and uncomfortable arch support. Stiff upper. It is not a barefoot shoe anymore. So so disappointed. I have several of these in previous versions and was wanting to replace them but this version is not an option. If you are wanting a true barefoot shoe, do not get this one.

Very uncomfortable. That design on the side that comes up from the sole is very hard against the side of your foot. I found these to be very narrow.

I do not like these shoes, the elastic strap is very uncomfortable. I wish I could return them!

I have bought many Merrell shoes over several decades. This is the only one I had to return. It is very stiff and restricting, not at all what you want in a barefoot shoe.

I liked the look of these but i couldnt even get them on my feet. They were far too narrow. I had to return them.

I have finally worn out my beloved pair of Trail Glove 4s, and was so psyched to get these. I had an 8 in the 4s, which fit perfectly, but an 8 in the Trail Glove 6 was way too big, even with thick socks--they felt like a 9. So I exchanged for a 7.5, and they are way too small--they felt like a 7! (I feel like I'm in Goldilocks & the Three Bears.) I'm so bummed, because I loved my 4s, but I'll have to return these too. Help!

The shoes were so narrow my feet did not fit into them. I have NEVER had that happen.

I've had a pair of vapor glove 2 and a pair of trail glove 4 for a couple years now and love both pairs but it was time for new ones. I ended up ordering the vapor glove 5 and the trail glove 6 and was disappointed with the fit of both. Both of them are shorter and narrower in the toe box. I do prefer the vapor over the trail out of the two new pairs cuz this trail glove laces weird and is really hard to get my foot into. Also I don't care for the look of the trail glove on my feet, I feel like I have sausage feet. I really don't like how narrow these are and the sole is much stiffer than my previous pair of trail gloves. I love my old pair and they don't make my bad knee and hip hurt but this pair def did make my hip hurt after the first day I wore them to work. It's not a needing to adjust to barefoot shoes thing cuz I wear every other pair I have to work and wear them all day with no leg pain. These things I had to take off half way thru the day. Pretty disappointed that they are making all their shoes including the wides narrower. I'm not looking forward to having to trial other brands to find another brand that works for my feet. I was a die hard merrell customer and have had many pairs over the years cuz they do hold up well but I don't feel like I can say that honestly anymore.

Loved these shoes until I did more than a mile. My feet are in so much pain in the arches

great arch support, awesome colour, but this shoe just does not work, the laces are interconnected to the side of the shoe and the tongue. When you tighten one they all tighten. It is an extremely tight shoe, Had to return

Ridiculously narrow, no actual "barefoot shape". People's feet are wider at the toes. Promote heathy feet, not fashion.

I didn't believe all of the other reviews on these so I went ahead & ordered them anyway. I normally don't write bad reviews but these shoes are horrible!! The shoe is much too narrow at the widest part of your foot. I'm a 6 with a regular width & it's a struggle to get these on. The material doesn't allow for too much stretch so even using a shoe stretcher wouldn't make these more comfortable. I sized down like some reviewers said & tried the 5.5. Big mistake! The regular 6 worked just fine so these are true to size except in width. Totally disappointed since the High Rise color was so awesome. Don't waste your time or money.

not sure what has happened to Merrell's shoes, but these were nothing like the ones I purchased in the past!!! I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with this shoe! It' was too small, too narrow and the photo makes it look like there are no laces and there are! I wish they would bring back the Barefoot Trail Glove 4 !!!! I've always worn the same size and am really surprised to find they are not a 7 in UK and not an 8 ?
