No support (which was expected as this is a glove shoe) but the ball of the foot area was harder than just walking on the ground

Trail Glove 6 is a miserable swap for the ingenuity and great engineering that Trail Glove 4 had in spades. I could not even get # 6 on my foot thanks to some super-smart-bad-idea to link the lacing with a non-stretch, non-adjustable woven strap across the instep. OH FOR TRAIL GLOVE 4! Please, oh please, bring it back.

I ran races in the 4 but my dog chewed them up so I bought a 5 and had to return it due to discomfort. I don't own a 6 because they still have the arch support and narrowness of the 5s. Please listen to your customers and bring back the version 4!

I am so disappointed. I bought the trail glove 5 last year and I LOVE them. They fit perfectly right out of the box and have been my go-to, everyday sneaker until it got too cold to wear them. I wrote a message to Merrell months ago to ask for more earth tones and neutral colors for women this year and so I was super excited to see the gorgeous olive green in this year's iteration of the trail glove. I couldn't wait to try them. I will say they seem well made, but they are so narrow!! I don't even have a wide foot, but these felt like they were squeezing the life out of my foot. I couldn't wait to take them off. I'm bummed. I wish I had gotten an extra pair of the trail glove 5 because now I can't find them anywhere and my beloved shoes from last year are already developing a slight tear in the top layer of mesh on one shoe. This is definitely not an improvement over last year's model.

I have worn Merrell shoes for many years. I have never been unhappy with any pair of your shoes. These Trail Gloves don't fit like any other past versions (worn them since this style first came out.) They are stiff, have none of the barefoot proprioception which any of the past models have had. The arch feels far more aggressive than version 5 or other previous versions. The toe box also squeezes the forefoot. I am very disappointed by this shoe and the process needed for a return. The color I picked "Lichen" was something I was quite excited about. FYIright now I have 41 pairs Merrell shoes/sandals which I wear happily. 22 of these shoes are Trail Gloves still in use. The stiffness and sizing of the new version 6 makes these shoes unwearable. I didn't read any reviews because I didn't see one for this particular model.
