Merrell please listen to the other reviews. This shoe is terrible and you don't have an accurate description on the website. This shoe has a very high arch pad placed therefore contradicting the purpose of the shoe. I had to return this shoe.

Bought an 8.5 and could barely get my toes in. Had sis-in-law try, who wears a 6.5, and they still didn't fit. Very narrow and small. Can't return.

This is the third pair of Merrill body glove shoes I have purchased over the years. The other two were easy to put on. This last pair I purchased within the last month are impossible to put on without someone helping you and them doing contortions with a shoe horn. Nice when they are finally on but I gave up having someone put my shoes on when I was 6 years old.

Merrill has sold out and is catering to fashion (pointy toes) rather than functionality (foot shaped toes). If you liked the trail glove 4, you will not like this one- it is much more narrow in the toe box. So disappointing.

There is no five-toe design unfortunately. I could feel my toes being smushed together, and I have narrow feet. The soles were also too rigid to be considered a true barefoot shoe. I really wish these worked for me because they are super light.

Beautiful shoe BUT, on my 2nd day wearing them, the right heel began to squeak. VERY annoying!

I have been buying Merrells since 2015 and have loved their trail running shoes that are 0-4mm drop. Unfortunately, it seems like they are moving away from that, but I was initially grateful to find these. Once I got them, I immediately hated them. They are so stiff it was hard to even get my foot into the shoe and once I did I couldn't wait to get them off. They are super narrow compared to previous versions. I've appreciated Merrells having a wider toe box in the past. I bought my usual size 10 and decided to try exchanging for a 10.5, but unfortunately those are still way too narrow for me and I will be returning them as well. Really bummed to not be able to find a good trail running shoe here currently.

This version of the shoe has too much arch support. I've been incredibly happy with the 4 & 5 but I will be reaching out to customer service on this pair. I wore them for a typical day and had terrible back and hip pain. I switched back to my trail glove 5's and had no issue.

I have been a huge Merrell fan for nearly a decade. Loved the barefoot especially. This shoe doesn't even fit like a Merrell. Why so narrow? What happened?? So sad I have to send these back and find another brand.

This is the first Trail Glove that did not fit my size 9 foot. Much too small and uncomfortable--are we sure this shoe was made by Merrell?

I was excited to get these. The brand and virbram sole were highly recommended by a friend because I was looking for a flat sole with wide toe base. It has been less than one month and the bottoms of both shoes are coming apart. They both catch and have almost lost my footing. See pictures.

These are stiff and narrow with massive arch plate. These are nothing like the trail glove 4 or 5, should not be sold as a barefoot shoe. Go back to original model please

If you have a skinny foot these are for you. I have what I consider a normal size foot and these are way too tight.

Loved earlier versions that were truly barefoot design. This version is bulky with too much support and tread. I returned them. Bring back the minimalist shoes from earlier designsplease!

I've run in the Trail Glove for many years and loved it. I own three pairs of just the Trail Glove 5. I purchased a pair of 6 and the are terrible. The design changes stiffened the shoe and put pressure on my feet in odd places. I have blistered and my feet just hurt. I tried to tough it out, but even after 100+ miles in the shoes they are terrible. These shoes are now just collecting dust. It's a shame because the Trail Glove was my absolute favorite.

I have a pervious version of this shoe which I loved. This new version with additional support has such a high arch that it hurts my foot within 3 steps. Also, only the very tip of the toe and very back of the heel are bendable the whole arch area of the shoe is very thick and stiff.

It's not the Glove fit or feel that my feet came to love. With my sensitive feet, I'm unable to wear them. If I had known, they were not flexible soles, I would not have ordered them. They're well made and definitely good looking but not for me.

If I could give these shoes 0 stars I would. I have been wearing merrell trail gloves for the last several years and have loved them. I didn't want to believe the bad reviews so ordered anyway, don't make the same mistake. #1 - these are way narrower then my previous version - and not just a little bit it is a significant difference #2 - the lacing design at the top is rigid and makes it near impossible to put the shoes on with socks - have to basically remove the laces just to put them one. #3 the soles are also hard and the instep no longer seems to sit in the right place #4 there is a seam for the tongue the arches across the foot and connects at the bottom lace point - which combined with the hard plastic lace hole just puts pressure in the one spot. I can only imagine the what it would feel like after a long walk These have lost the feeling of a "barefoot" minimal shoe that I have come to love - I will just have to keep wearing my tread bear trail glove 4's as these are getting returned

I have LOVED the trail glove line, and have worn little else for years. TG 4 and 5 were excellent. TG 6 is more narrow and has a very strange, uncomfortable, stiff arch support that abruptly stops halfway down the arch. They were so uncomfortable that it was a relief to take them off after wearing them for 20 minutes around my house. Please bring back fit from TG 4 or 5!!

I bought a pair of these online because I've liked all my past Trail Gloves so much that I was sure these would be great too. I can barely even get the shoes on my feet (especially the left shoe) because the tongue is sewn down into place. Is this normal? Isn't that what the laces are there for, to hold the shoes onto your feet? I had to put way too much physical effort into getting the shoes onto my feet. It's like trying to pull on a sneaker that already has the laces tightly tied.... it almost feels like it's a practical joke played by Merrell. Please get rid of that part of the design. One of the other Trail Glove versions had something similar but not nearly as severe and I loved those shoes. Besides being a pain to get on, I want to wear the 6s with socks but there's no way I can do that because the space to fit my foot into the shoe is so narrow that it pulls the socks way too tight over my toes. I think the shoe seems pretty good otherwise!

I've loved my Trail Gloves so much that I bought two pair of Trail Glove 4s and two of Trail Glove 5s, so I'm a long-time fan. As we get older, our feet change, so I thought I'd try a half size larger while using thicker hiking socks. I can't imagine what would have happened if I'd ordered my usual size. I have narrow feet but need a normal width in the toes. These shoes are extremely difficult to get on. There's a new way of lacing them up--bands hold the laces so that you can't really pull the tongue out to get your foot in. Maybe I'm missing something and will be happy to admit my error if someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong, LOL. Once I finally got the shoes on they felt OK--not the "Wow!" feeling I usually get with Merrells right out of the box, but no blistering or rubbing. The arch support is still excellent, but the rest of the shoe feels hard and plasticky, if you know what I mean. I'll skip my second pair of TG 6s and wait for reviews on the 7s. Hoping for better next time.

I have worn every version of the Trail Glove since its inception, and I am so disappointed in these. Every other version I have been able to wear straight out of the box, no matter how far I'm running. The Trail Glove 4 is my absolute favorite shoe I've ever worn. The 6 has totally lost the "barefoot" feel with its over exaggerated, stiff arch support, narrow toe box and mid foot and difficult lacing system. I had to exchange to size down, and somehow the half size smaller is still too long, but yet so narrow that my feet are getting pinched. The only thing I like about this shoe is the color. I've reached out to customer service to see what they have done to this shoe. Please, bring back version 4! This is not working!
