I do some heavy walking but my left shoe had a strong'ridge' happening and have to wear inserts. But the fitting around your foot is nice.

I really wanted to love these but they were extremely tight, hard to get on and off gave me blisters and made my feet feel very hot. I don't even have big, wide feet.I will not purchase shoes again without tying on first.

Changes were made from the Trail Glove 5 that I do not like. The toe box is narrower. The sole is thicker. The seams on the inside are more prominent creating hot spots on your feet. Sadly, after years and numerous pairs, I feel that I will need to shop elsewhere going forward. I'm being generous with 3 stars.

I bought these a few months ago and ended up returning them. I'll admit one foot is slightly larger than the other and I have high arches. My right foot which I guess is a true size 9 loved the arch support but it was still on the narrow side. My left foot was in absolute agony. My arch was aching and there was no way I could keep them. If I could order them in 2 different sizes it would be fine but even then they were snug. The curve at the top of your heel is pretty thick as well and was rubbing during the brief amount of time I had it on in the house.

Have many other "Barefoot" pairs of sneakers, which I love. These were very narrow and unforgiving in fit. Did not like the material either. Wish Merrell would reinstate older models.

I've purchased at least ten pairs of the Trail Gloves, mostly version 4, a few version 5. This version 6 is a real disappointment. Gone is the roomy wide toe box and the shoe material stiff, unlike previous versions that fit like a glove, gave support while still allowing full movement of the foot. I guess I'll have to look for another great shoe, because I can't wear this one.

These were not what I was used to as far as barefoot goes. I prefer earlier trail glove shoes. These were too stiff, narrow and the arch was too high for me. But they are cute and I wear them sometimes. I have not been pleased with Merrell lately and am waiting for them to come out with better barefoot shoes. The 4 3D's were my absolute favorite. Please bring these back or something similar!

There's a lot to be said for this shoe, but it shouldn't be called a Trail Glove -- it is such a departure from the previous versions! If you, like me, have had many trail gloves and loved them, here's what you should know about these:
- They are much more narrow. The website said to order a half size smaller than the last trail glove. I did that, and it was great for length, but much too narrow. I have never put on a shoe that was too narrow for me -- I have extremely narrow feet. I ordered a size up (my old size) and now I have the right width, but too much length in the toe.
- they are much harder to get on. I have to fully loosen all the laces to get my feet in.
- they have much higher arches
- they have a thicker, more solid sole (a real plus for me -- I would wear through the old trail glove soles in 250 miles.)
I've kept these because the thick soles will hopefully last me longer, and are better for wearing with spikes in the snow. But I curse them every time I put them on, wishing they were easier to put on and fit me better.

I think these shoes are comfortable! Despite the reviews that mentioned the shoes run half a size to small, I purchased my normal size. They fit fine on the sides, but they are a bit too loose at the toes. I'm going to try to run in them and see how it goes.

I've been wearing the trail glove since the 1st version and loved that the tongue was attached to the upper which helped with the "glove" feel and foot stability, now the shoes are more loose and slips around quite a bit. Please bring back the one piece!

Probably a great shoes for the person getting into bare foot or minimalist running (as the product indicates), but I have already been adjusting to that so there was way to much support for what I was looking for. The toe box was also to narrow for me in the M width.

I have a pair of Merrell barefoot shoes I love, unfortunately I wore through the soles within a year. I was super excited to see these because of the added grip/thicker sole. Read the reviews and decided to try both a 9.5 (same size as my previous pair) and a 10 in case the 9.5 were too narrow. I wasn't too worried because I have narrow feet. The length of 9.5 is fine, but the shoes really squeezed my pinky toe/outside of my foot and hurt my arches although this happened with my previous pair, and after wearing them a few times the arch seemed to give a little. The 10s also fit (don't even look half size bigger) and were a tiny bit more roomy but not enough. Really bummed because I love the color and style! I hope the next version is wider because they look so cool!!!! I also LOVE that they are ECO FRIENDLY!!!!

This shoe was presented as a "barefoot" type shoe but it is not. It has a fairly high heel that will force you to do a "heel; first" running style.

I normally wear a size 6, and sometimes a 6.5 in a sneaker, but based on a review from someone with a foot that is a similar size and shape as mine I ordered a size 5.5. The shoes were a bit difficult to get on because the tongue is not detached on the sides. Once I got them on they fit perfectly, but the design caused my feet to seriously roll inward, even while just standing. I will be returning them.

I read the reviews about this shoe, but decided to take a chance. Those of us who have buying Trail Glove shoes for years are very DISAPOINTED! This shoe is too tight and has too much arch support. For all of you who kept yours, like I did, here's the solution. Clip the 3 elastic bands that go across the top of your foot.Your feet will thank you. You're welcome. Merrell, go back to Trail Glove 4. Your peeps have spoken.

There nice shoe but there tight(have flat feet)and hard to get on at first especially because of the straps that hold the tongue down! But after a couple tries there easier to get on. They are very light too!!

Trail Gloves have been my favorite shoe for YEARS, for doing everything from running, walking, working, to lifting. I literally wear these for everything. I don't own anything else in the sneaker/tennis shoe realm.
I gotta say with each new iteration of this shoe, it feels like Merrell is getting further away from the minimalist ideal. Each generation adds arch support and stiffness to a point where it no longer feels a part of the barefoot category like it once did. Maybe that was never their intention, but it used to be the perfect balance of barefoot shoe w/ just enough protection from the elements (for those of us who didn't want to actually run barefoot). TG6 is still a great shoe. It's definitely durable and it's still very scaled back compared to all the other trail shoes out there. I love the 0 drop--it's one of the few on the market that maintains a level sole throughout with that smaller stack height. The toe box is nice and roomy. As stated in the product description, I ordered 1/2 a size down and they fit perfectly. But I'm afraid I may have to transfer to the vapor glove to get back some of what the TG once was. I WILL keep these for legit trail purposes, and maybe work. But as for lifting and running, my sights will be set elsewhere.

I thought that these shoes are supposed to be "barefoot" style, but with a little more sole, and a sole with some more pronounced lugs, so they are good for a trail. I actually have Trail Glove 4s on my feet now that fit that description... They have a lot of flexibility, nice room for the toes, and they let the foot do most of the supporting. The 4s actually have a BIT of arch support which is weird, since arch support basically goes against the barefoot shoe philosophy. But overall, my 4s are very much a barefoot experience and okay for a mild trail.
Well... I got the Trail Glove 6 and hoped they would be similar, but NOPE. They are more stiff/less flexible, and they have a TON of arch support... I mean... it's incredibly noticeable. If you love arch support this could be your baby right here, but if you want your foot to do what it does in a normal barefoot shoe - you will be sorely dissapointed. It had these on my feet for 20 minutes, walking and sitting around my living room, and the sensation under my arches was so noticeable I finally took them off and was so relived to get them off my feet. It was as if someone was shaking my hand for a long time, holding it too firmly.
The saddest part? They look freaking gorgeous! I got the black with the gum sole... They look perfect and the way they designed the laces is amazing, too. I hope the Trail Glove 7 one day will be just as good looking but without the rock plate (that's the name of the reinforcement they added to this version which I bet is the reason why it's less flexible) and without the insanely distracting, over-achieving, arch support. I could actually use a bit more (removable) padding than is in my Trail Glove 4, and bigger lugs than Trail Glove 4, too, if anyone from Merrell is reading : )

I went to these from the vapor gloves, which I LOVE, but they just aren't very good for trail running here. While the vapor glove jus gently cups your mid foot, this shoe has a very pronounced arch support. I don't have high arches so I am finding my feel feel very fatigued and sore at the end of the day. When I stand, all of my weight is on the arch. This really goes against what a true barefoot shoe is too, because there's very little ground feel in this way. Its unfortunate because there's not a lot of options out there and no one seems to be able to get this kind of shoe right. I wore them a few times, wishing I had just had the forethought to send them back. If you have high arches or are used to shoes like that and just want something low to the ground this could work, but if you are coming to it from barefoot shoes you will likely be disappointed. Three stars because I love that for once there's a woman's shoe that doesn't look like it came out of the barbie toy section. I would wear these normally if they were more comfortable.

Lovely shoe and I hoped that it would be as comfortable as my older pair of Trail Gloves. This shoe has A LOT of elastic in the shoe box, heavier fabric and chunky laces. The toe box is smaller than my old pair and I didn't have room to wiggle my toes so I returned the shoes. But it is attractive, and I was sad that the shoe's design changed so I couldn't keep them. Love the color.

I cannot wear these shoes, they are very narrow, even though I bought a size up from my normal size, I can't get my foot in them. Unfortunately bought off clearance so I can't return them either.
