I have an old pair of Vapors that I LOVE & wore out, but the new version & sole is not the same. So, I ordered the trail glove. Stiffer, not as comfortable as my old Vapors, I'm a half size smaller in Merrell than I would normally wear, ordered the aqua w/purple...love the colors!

I fell in love with "barefoot" shoes two years ago after purchasing the Trail Glove 4 shoes which are now worn out. I just purchased the Trail Glove 6 and have tried them out a couple of times on hiking trails and find them to be great. I actually love feeling the rocks under my feet. Never thought I'd say that. My one issue is with their new lacing system which makes no sense to me. I have high arches and the new system doesn't work for me but I've found a work-around.

These shoes are comfortable and true to size, my 8.5. I only have one issue. On one shoe, the middle set of lacing loops is much longer, causing the loops to meet right in the middle when the shoe is tied. The other shoe is normal.

I just got the trail glove 6 and I'm sort of disappointed. The shoes are not as comfortable as my Trail Glove 4 (or lower!). I realize the company has to constantly redesign and innovate but sometimes giving us the option to keep our older style is ok too. Also, I read the reviews, went down 1/2 size which also made these seem exceptionally narrower than usual. I'm usually good with purchasing 3 pairs of the trail glove and about 2 vapor glove pairs per year. Not happening with the 6's. Bring back the oldies!!

These trail gloves are more sophisticated looking than the pair I had previously, and the fit is a little more structured, which is okay, but took a little getting used to. It was hard to decide that I could go ahead and put them to use on the trail because they're so good looking, I wanted them for town.

Comfortable barefoot fitthin, lightweight, close to the ground. Good as everyday foot covering but not for hardcore hiking.

Just got the shoes and taking the advice to size down from the 4s meant that I can't fit my feet in. If anything go up 1/2 a size - so assume typo on this page. Shame as shoe seems nice

Just wanted to let anybody who is looking to buy these to ignore the recommendation to go 1/2 size larger when compared to the Trail Glove 4. I was a size 8 in the Trail Glove 4 so I went with 7.5 and it was definitely too small. I am hoping an 8 will fit but I may have to go up to an 8.5. These are also quite a bit more narrow too.

I love the look of these shoes and they fit ok once I get them on, but they are very narrow and difficult to put on. If they weren't final sale I would've exchanged for a half size larger.

I love the look of these but expected them to be more in line with the vapor glove since they populated when searching "barefoot shoes" They don't have as much room as the vapors whatsoever. I still wear them, but my feet definitely feel squished because I'm used to barefoot shoes with a wide toe box.

They are beautiful, oh how I wanted them to work. I have the highest arches and still these were too high for me.. by the afternoon my knees and legs were having pain as the arches were too high. they sit here used enough they are no longer new & unworn. A poor purchase based on beautiful design.

I had an older pair of barefoot Merrells and wanted to replace them, however this newer model has a very pronounced arch support unlike my older pair, which were more "barefoot" like in my opinion. These are nice looking though, and my feet are slowly getting used to them. Just not as small a profile as before.

The shoes were narrow. I got a size larger because I have a broken toe. Still way too narrow and too long. So if you have skinny feet these would be great.

I have purchased multiple Merrell glove shoes over the years and I love how they look and hold up. These shoes are different from my previous pairs. Once the shoes are on they look and feel nice. However they are difficult to get on because the tongue is tied in place. I have narrow feet and still struggle to get my foot in.

I wore the Trail Glove 4 to transition to barefoot shoes and at the time I felt they were what I needed. A little more ground feel, a little more room in the toes, but with a little extra support where I needed it. My prior Trail Gloves also lasted a solid 2 years over some rough mileage. I've since transitioned to barefoot shoes (i.e. Lems, Xero, Wildlings) and I LOVE them, but I felt on my high mileage hike days (15 miles+) my feet seemed to need a little extra support. That's where I hoped these would be what I needed. A little extra arch support is really what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I feel either my feet have widened using barefoot shoes or Merrell has narrowed the toe box in these compared to the prior models OR maybe a little of both - my pinky toe felt squished. I hiked about 30 miles total in these and have decided, after going to barefoot shoes, these are no longer the support I need. I need to find something with a little arch support, but still a wide toe box OR I need to just strengthen my feet more.

I bought them a size too small; they sit in my closet; I think I had worn them before I realized they were making my feet and legs hurt in the evenings. Need to find a good home to upcycle them.

I've been buying Merrill barefoot for years. Vapor glove and trail gloves many colors and repeats when I find the ones I love best. The past two versions have had a thicker sole and slightly smaller toe box and I don't reach for them. When I do where them they make my feet hurt from the pinching and forced arch. I've started trying other brands. Please bring back the flexible foot and wider toe box.

Been using Merrel trail groves since the originals and owned some 5 models so far, but saddly none is as good as the originals. The only reason I still wear these is because no other model on the market is as glove-like as these except for maybe track sprinting shoes. The toebox needs to be MUCH wider, the arch does NOT need support and the sole is too stiff, could do much better with new Mtl skyfire 2 honeycomb rubber for instance, as well as the upper. Actually when I saw the preview of this new model I jut wished they made the same with zero drop, half the foam and a wide toebox! it would be the perfect trail running shoe!

Nice shoe but not true to size, I am an 8.5 with narrow feet but found this shoe to be way too narrow for a good barefoot and my toes hit the end. My 11 year old daughter got them and she loves them.
