I use these for work. I'm a nurse & these shoes are awesome on the hard floors I have to walk on. Quiet as well.

I have several brands of barefoot shoes/sneakers, and these are my favorite go-to daily wear. Very comfortable and great trainer (in my opinion) in getting use to daily barefoot wearl.

These shoes worked great on the decks of a cruise ship. Not one bit of slippery, unsteady steps with these shoes. Although, as others have noted, the medium width runs narrow, the extra effort to put the shoes on pays dividends in a glove-like enveloping of the foot. Of note, getting on without untying the shoes was impossible

Great all-around comfortable shoes from walking the trails in the woods to good flats for my gym workouts. Also good for just casual attire to the store. Got 4 pair of these from different years and colors.

So far so good. Fits my high-arched feet very well and feels comfortable when I walk/run. Too soon to tell how well it will hold up.

First pair of minimalist trail shoes and truly enjoy the quality, fit and finish. The deal I was offered was hard to say No. Thank you Merrell. Looking to purchase another pair in brighter colors. Good shoe for someone transitioning into this type of footwear.

I was not expecting to like them as much as I do. It's my first pair of "barefoot" type shoes and I did not need to get accustomed to them gradually at all. I recently used them in Kauai walking thru rivers, mud, sand and even paved trails. Very happy with their performance.

These shoes are incredibly comfortable! So light and feel like you're barely wearing shoes.

Picked these up from the Merrell outlet in Lancaster, PA. They currently have a buy one get the second pair half off. I've worn the Trail Glove 5 and Vapor Glove for years now and this shoe has continued to evolve. Next to the TG5, the TG6 has a more narrow tow box, a higher, stiffer arch, and more material in the sole. The sole also feels a lot stiffer than the previous model.
All in all, still an excellent shoe with typical Merrell fit, finish, and quality. Butmy opinion is that these are a minimalist shoe, not a barefoot shoe. I've been wearing Vibrams, and the TG6 and vapor for a long time, so if you want something truly minimal and barefoot, get the Vapor Glove. Still really like them, but I suspect the break in period will be a little longer than the TG5.

Took these to Costa Rica for trail hiking and general use. They have been awesome. Plenty of grip and very comfortable in the heat. I wore socks during the drier hikes, and went barefoot when there were rivers etc present.

My new pair of Trail Glove 6 shoes are incredible. I have owned every version since day one and I am consistently blown away how Merrell improves this shoe year after year. The durability from the sole to the laces is unmatched. Hands down the best shoe on the market.
I will forever be a Trail Glove promoter and owner! Keep up the good work.

This is my 3rd pair of trail gloves. I have generally been very happy with them. I would say the form and essence of the shoe has remained fairly consistent over the years. Lightweight, well made with quality materials. My first two pairs both lasted several years, I expect these will perform the same. I have had several pairs of New Balance minimalist shoes as well. I think these are slightly more comfortable than my last pair of NB minimus 20 V7.
First, as many have mentioned, these are NOT a true barefoot shoe, but I knew that when I bought them, so I am not disappointed. They are a minimalist shoe with very little cushioning, but they do have a solid formed arch. The first pair I owned had a stronger arch than I was used to wearing, but I got used to it. I tend to wear shoes with stronger arches now, so this new pair was as I expected.
The shoe is quite comfortable without much break in period for me. I have what I consider to be a pretty average size foot, arch, and neutral strike pattern. They do tend to run a bit narrow through the hind and midfoot, but do open up well in the toes. They are slightly long. I usually buy 11, but I needed 10.5 in these.
I am in my mid 40's, 6'0'', 205. Bad genes, lots of aggressive athletics, and some pudge left me with painful knee arthritis. I can't run anymore, so I will not be running in these shoes. I have taken them on short hikes with moderate roots and rocks. They perform admirably with good grip. But, my knees like to have a bit more cushioning if I go much more than 2-3 miles, especially if I have to do any large steps/drops/scrambles. I have not hiked in wet conditions, but wearing them around town in rainy conditions I have noticed they don't hold grip very well. I might have concerns about slick rocks/roots.
I work in healthcare. These are perfect for working around the hospital and medical clinic. Lightweight, supportive with just a little cushion.
I also use them for cross-training, weightlifting, etc. Again, lightweight with good support and good grip. Still have good feel of foot and toe position.
Overall, very pleased with the purchase. Fit as expected other than being just a little bit big and a little tight in midfoot. Questionable wet grip? I will likely purchase future iterations of this shoe because they and comfortable and durable.

My first experience with these Trail Gloves was excellent. Comfortable fit (I actually sized up for more toe space), plenty of arch support, low profile, and totally handled the dirt trails and jungle / beach hiking all over Costa Rica this winter. Comfortable enough walking in airports, sitting on planes, just enough soft "give" while providing grip and sole of feet protection.

I really like these shoes. They fit my foot like a glove. I am not comparing them to any other Trail Glove versions though. The arch support fits wonderfully. I wear these in the snow and at the gym.
