I love there shoes! They are "barefoot" shoes but they give you great support and great traction, they feel light and do not make your toes feel crowded. Plus they do not rub at the ankles. I bought them for travel for long days walking on European cobble stones and they are perfect!

I do not understand the haters posting all of the one star reviews. For me, I love these shoes. I am buying another pair. The quality is noticeably better than with the Trail Glove 5. There is better arch support but I can still feel the road and trail. I like the integrated tongue, it seems to make the shoe last longer...But it does make the shoe a little harder to get on. The size seems to match the size I had with the Trail Glove 5.

My TG4s wore out and I replaced them with 6s. Fantastic! They have thicker soles, better arch support, and are proving to be more durable overall. No, they are not as "barefoot" as before, but I am getting far more use and comfort out of them over rocky trails, scrambles, and even wandering around town on concrete sidewalks. Have done multiple 20k hikes now and they just keep going. Highly recommended!

Been wearing the Trail Gloves since they came out. When my Trail Glove 4's wore out I ordered a new pair of 5's. Was disappointed in the shoe vs the 4's, not as supportive, the tongue was floppy and unsecured and just did not like the fit and appearance. Anyway just ordered the new 6 and they are superb. Redesign felt great, good arch support and the tongue design is much improved...and they look terrific in the burnt orange combo...I typically wear 10.5 but based on my old 5's fit I ordered half size smaller and perfect w/o socks

I ordered these for my boyfriend and he loves them. We do a lot of hiking and he wore them this weekend and he said they were great! He likes that they’re light weight and not heavy like most hiking shoes.

I've been looking for a more casual Merrell that isn't focused on hiking. These are way better than the Nike shoes I have typically purchased. The sole is much more durable and the black version makes them easy to wear with anything.

I've owned around at least 10 or more pairs of Merrell shoes. I love them. I hike, run, workout, wear for normal everyday use. These are by far the best pair I've owned and I plan to buy more. I usually stick with the same model until they are no longer sold. Great job on these Merrell!

I wear these for weight training and some light jogs to/from the gym. Best training shoe for me! They are great when you need to feel and "grip" the ground, especially for back squats, etc

I have natural flat feet and tried several stabilization control brands. They all increased my discomfort. After reading an article about the difference between natural flat feet vs. someone that has a collapsed arch, I decided to go in the opposite direction and try a natural minimal fit. I am so glad I did. The Trail Glove 6 has the most comfortable fit I have experienced in years. Love them!

This shoe fits great! I didn't have any of the issues mentioned in other comments about the shoe having high arches. Theres a small breaking in period, but thats to be expected with any shoe or boot that has solid soles. Most non-minimal shoes are basically pillows of foam, so they don't need the extra time to mold to your specific foot the way higher end hiking equipment does.

The trail glove 6 on its own is a great shoe, however you will come away disappointed if you try to compare it to older versions. Pros: -Minimum break in period -Mild arch support-will subside some with break in -Once on stays in place-once you get it on-see cons -good traction -lots of color options Cons -not a barefoot shoe with this version- more of a minimalist shoe. -darn hard to put on In the end if you have never worn a trail glove shoe before you'll probably like this shoe-a lot. However if your looking for the fit and feel of the trail glove 4/5 look else where. Merrell did update the description for this version to state it's now more of a transition to barefoot shoe. I do like this shoe and own two pairs.

I had the Trail Glove 4 and found the 6 to be narrower on first wear, but it didn't take long to settle in. Now I love the 6 as much as I did the 4. There are subtleties with the 6 that take a few wears to unpack such as better torsion resistance and a refined arch support. They do what I expect them to dodisappear with no drama. Highly recommend. The 4 felt better out of the box but the 6 is there for the long haul.

I have worn these for many years now, my feet are so much stronger, I was an athlete with feet discrepencies and weeknesses for years in my 20's wearing the arch support varieties. These are a complete revelation now in my 40's. Both feet now stronger and the same. Cycling was my sport. Huge difference!

Bought these a month ago and they've been the most comfortable trail running shoes I've ever worn. Merrell really took their time making this one better for foot support while still maintaining the barefoot feel.

I think a lot of the other reviews for these are overly harsh. I owned the Trail Glove 5s and wore them for almost everything, they were a great shoe. The Trail Glove 6 is definitely a beefier shoe and has a more narrow toe box, but I did not have to order a size up. After wearing them a few times, they broke in a little and I have all the room I need. Because this version of the Trail Glove is beefier than the 5, I find that they are significantly better for trails, which is what I bought them for. For a more true "barefoot" shoe, I recommend the Vapor 5, which I also ended up getting. Also a great shoe, much more minimalist.

I have had every iteration of the trail glove and they keep improving. I tend to eventually bust out of mine at ball of my foot (after MANY miles) and it looks like the 6 has reinforcement in that very spot. Still as light and comfortable as ever!

I have both the Trail Glove 4 and the Trail Glove 6 and am comfortable in size 10 in both. I'd call the 4 a barefoot trail shoe and the 6 more of a minimalist shoe. I get why those who prefer the barefoot end of the spectrum are disappointed. But I like a bit of stability and protection from the ground, so the 6 is great for me. Maybe my all-time favorite athletic shoe. The Trail Glove 6 is lightweight and very responsive; but with enough sole to keep the pebbles from jabbing my feet. And the grip is fantastic. I've run these about 80 miles so far and most of those miles are up and down Stone Mountain, a steep, pocked, boulder-strewn mound of granite that rises about 650 feet over about a mile. It requires a lot of grip and this shoe provides. I definitely intend to buy another pair as soon as one is available in my size.
