These have become the everyday trainer in partnership with the carbon X2. They max on the comfort but are still responsive to keep those legs going.

Great shoes. Best shoe for the money. You will go though 3 other shoes before the Mach 4 needs replacing.

These shoes are the best combo of comfort and responsiveness. Super smooth at all speeds.

Smack in the middle of a Rincon and Clifton. LOVE IT so far.

This is my fourth pair of Hokas. I've had three pairs of Clifton which are awesome. The Mach4 are fantastic. I actually improved my speed with them and really enjoyed them!

There is a lot of hype on this shoe and IMO well worth it! I've put about 25 miles on them and love the pop!

I am loving the Mach 4 so far, however, am concerned about the flex points where the upper meets the midsole about midway through the shoe on the medial and lateral sides. I have owned many pairs of the Rincon, and every time a hole developed at the flex point on the medial side of the shoe where the upper material meets the midsole rubber. I see that the same flex point exists in the Mach 4 and am hoping that a similar hole does not develop.

Very happy with the shoes they are comfortable and have great cushioning.

For context, I have put around 7000 miles on Hokas in the last 4 years. I have ran in the Clifton's 4,5,6,7 , Arahi 2,3,4, the Rincon, Carbon X, speedgoat 2,4,. & etc. You name it, I've had it...with that being said, the Mach 4 is the real deal. It is super soft and yet so responsive. The shoe is built to last. I've used this shoe for short runs and long runs. I can run fast and slow in this shoe because the shoe is an all around shoe made to last. I hope they get more colors in the near future. I'm sold out for the Mach 4 you should definitely try it for yourself

I've had every Mach version. Ive got the Clifton, The Edge, and the Challenger. I've liked them all but this the best yet. Planing to use it as a every day trainer, easy tempo, and faster long runs. Heck, maybe I'll just run in them every day.

Took a couple runs to break in, but now they are great and have worked well for longer runs and some speed work

The Clifton was too squishy, and gave me arch pain. The updates to the Hupana didn't have as much cushion as before. The Rincon platform gave me blisters on my instep from the lip where the sole meets the upper. These are the perfect melding of all 3. Not too squishy, good blending between the upper and sole, and the responsiveness and weight of the Hupana!

This shoe is everything l love about the Clifton 7 in a lighter, more compact package!

Great smooth ride and balanced cushion. Great for easy days and tempo days. First Hoya that fit well in the forefoot for me.

I use this shoe for exercising, walking. Great balance of cushion and responsiveness. A better shoes than its predecessor, more forgiving in the forefoot without feeling boggy.

I have about 15 miles so far in the Mach 4, and this shoe can do it all!!! It's best for tempo long runs in my opinion, but I feel it can do speed work or even recovery days.

Don't hesitate, if you're on the fence regarding a pair of Hokas. These are my first pair and having been running for over a decade now without them, I can't urge you all enough not to wait. The Mach 4 is nice and stable. I have moderate over-pronation, weak ankles, and tight calves so I'm sure I am putting them to work but the ride in these is smooth and, again, stable but without being stiff if that makes sense. Anyhow, its early days and I hope to update but after the first half dozen runs, I am literally only waiting for the next color line to be released to pick up a new pair. Of note: I am using these for my longer training runs as well as short sprint/technique demo for my kids and I feel great doing either in these.

Great look down, and response. I'd buy this one again!

Nice light trainers

Very comfortable high quality shoe. Extremely satisfied with my purchase couldn't ask for or find a better trainer if you tried. Good job to Hoka!

Heat shoes for when you want to pick up the pace, but still soft enough to go some miles.

Absolutely love this shoe. Enough cushion for a softer landing, but still a lot of response. Not nearly as soft as the Clifton, but moreso than previous Mach editions. Fits very well. I normally have to go a half size up because of my foot being a bit wide, but the 9 fit me true to size in this model. Really great lockdown. Maybe the slightest bit of slip in the heel, but easily countered with tight lacing. 10/10

Really, why even continue to make the Clifton? The Mach 4 should put it out of business its so good. Nice cushioning, comfortable forefoot fit - like the Hoka. But its not too mushy, doesn't bottom out, has a more breathable upper, and lighter. Wow, everything the reviews said and more. Unfortunately, I'm bound to chew up the outsole as I do on all Hokas. I'm sure I'll get 300 miles out of these guys, anyhow. Great work, Mr. Crouch.

Most Hokas are too soft for me, but these ones are perfect. The sizing is great and they don't have any weird fitting areas in the upper.

These shoes fit and feel great! Soft, but not as soft as the Clifton, more soft than the Rincon. Very responsive especially when you pick up the pace. This has a snug fit, which I like. I feel like these fit better than my Clifton 7's (they run big for me) Overall I am very pleased and will be using these for every day training, tempo, etc. You can use these for any type of run. Serious racers will want something else for race day, but these will cover everything else. I don't recommend these for off road use.
