I was sent a totally different pair of shoes I originally ordered. So I returned them. Thankyou for your support.

After years and many pairs of the gaviota 2 which were the only shoes that I could run in without pain in my leg from a prior surgery plus no plantar fasciitis in the years that I used them imagine my disappointment with the 3s. Had to get half a size down but the worst part is that they gave me plantar fasciitis. Please please please go back to the 2s

They looked like they would be cloud 9 walking on but they are not. I walk about 15 miles a day for work and I’ve tried to break them in but they’ve caused me so much ankle and foot pain. Def not worth the price

I wanted to take these shoes on vacation to universal studios where I know I would be on my feet for HOURS at a time! I finally found a pair that I could try on in the store and they felt amazing but once down in Florida I tried them out on the first day in the park, not my first day wearing them I did try to break them in after purchasing, I was left with two HUGE blisters on my toes that left me in pain throughout my trip. I'm sorry to say these shoes did not live up to the standards that I hear from people at work and others in the review section. If I could of gave them zero stars I would have.

This shoe is not the same. There is no stability and cheaply made. The shoe is narrower than the Gaviota 2. I'm sad because this is the only shoe that worked for me. I will be returning and looking for a new brand of shoe. Shame on you Hoka!

I was looking for a comparable shoe for road. I used Hoka speed goats for trail which I love. I found this shoe. Absolutely awful. Way too much shoe. Heavy. I felt like I was running with bricks. Looking to return item.

I am so disappointed in the Gaviota 3. HOKA had it right with the Gaviota 2. I wear a 9M and I loved the Gaviota 2 because it had a wider toe box and great arch support. I have Morton's Neuroma and Planter Fasciitis in both feet. The Gaviota 3 shoe is so narrow that it not only aggravates my toes, that it aggravates my heel pain. It has been suggested that I get a "Wide," but if you wear a medium shoe, a wide shoe is always too wide. HOKA usually does great creating shoes for people with foot issues. Sometimes "New & Improved" does the opposite.

I love love love the Graviota 2, I wear them for work and the reinforcements in high rub errors, made these shoes really hold up. I have to scour the internet to buy them now. The fit of these is different, and I can tell just by looking at these, that the material in high rub areas will get snagged and start to look really shabby. Also I really dislike these colors along with the design. I have instead bought a pair of challengers while waiting for the Graviota 4.

It came like a used product. One sole out and no stuffing in shoes and laces fully tied. Wish I had not ordered.

I spend long hours on my feet as a nurse. I need a supportive shoe and the podiatrist I work with recommended this shoe. I tried them for a week and came home with much more pain than with any of the other brands I wear. Big disappointment since they were also the most expensive shoe I have purchased.

The design of the shoes changed and they are cut too high on the ankle. Very uncomfortable rubbing. Plus they are now very clunky and unattractive.

Went to Disney World thinking I bought best shoe for feet issues. I have taken pictures as I have 4 blisters on my foot. The second pair I took was Hoka Bindi. I was miserable with all the blisters and trying to enjoy the parks.

At first the cushion seemed supportive to my feet, ankles, knees, etc. After a few weeks I was having horrible foot pain -- top and bottom. I switched back over to an old pair of ASICS and the pain went away. These shoes were not for me.

I have worn out 16 pairs of Gaviotas (women's 7 wide) in the last 4 years - 9 pairs of Gaviota 1s and 7 pairs of Gaviota 2s. I just tried on the Gaviota 3 and was hugely disappointed. The Gaviota 3 is shorter and narrower than the Gaviota 2. The 7 wide, my usual size, was too narrow to be comfortable as was the 7.5 wide. Going up to an 8 wide makes the shoes way too long for me. In addition to the lack of width, the Gaviota 3 has these other undesirable changes: the lacing over the arch is hard to tighten and bunches up; the heel cup is too shallow; and the rubber on the inside of the heel is too hard to be comfortable. Why, oh why, did you ruin my favorite shoe? Additionally, please make more Hoka models in wide widths and cool colors - not black or navy blue.

How anyone can run in these is beyond me, so clunky it's like running on platforms, no flexibility at all, I really wanted to like these.

I have been a customer of Hoka for about 2 years because I am a registered nurse and I normally love the shoes I have bought in the past. I received this pair as a gift, and I only wore them once and the sole of the shoe is torn, the left sole of the shoe on the inner section is lifting and I have barley worn the shoe. I have never experienced a problem like this in the past, my old sneakers are still in amazing condition, therefore I am extremely disappointed.

Junk! Waste of money! Killed me and my feet durning a training run for 9 miles. Biggest blisters and more pain then ever in a training run. Don't work for over-pronation. Not supportive or cushioned like the picture or info says. Tight in the toe box and big in the heel. Don't recommend buying!

I’m very bummed about these. I wore them for about four hours, and my feet were sliding around in them within two hours. I hadn’t brought a back up pair. Just way to big, and now I’ve worn them, I can’t return, and they’re $$$$. I think if I had the right size, they would be ok. Bummer
I'd also recommend:
ASICS, dansko, merrell, alegria

I had a previous version that I loved so I bought the 3. The sole began peeling off the first day of wear, so I ordered exchanged them. The 2nd pair did the same thing on the 2nd day of wear. I have had 2 other Hoka shoes that I did love, but these are not well made.

I have been wearing the Gaviota for about 5-6 years. I have always loved them until the Gaviota 3. They made my feet hurt almost immediately. Nothing about them felt like a Gaviota. Not sure what Hoka changed, but I can no longer wear this shoe. Has to purchase a different brand.

I am an active walker, medium speed! I love my Gaviota 2's which is my shoe of choice. I own 4 pair, and wear them everyday, all day. I thought I'd try the new and improved version: Gaviota 3. It did not fit like the 2's, not even close, and had poor balance and support. I've had to call all over the West Coast to order any leftover 2's, as you do not make them any more. What other HOKA style has the same J-Frame and support? I love the HOKA brand and do not want to switch to another.

I bought Gaviota 3 because I have been wearing Gaviota 2 in wide and loved them. Gaviota 2 footbed were wide but Gaviota 3 feels snug and tight. Gaviota 3 pinches my toes and heels, the insoles are not as good quality compare to # 2. I have given Gaviota 3 time to break in but they not getting any better my big toes and bottom of my feet are getting numb after wearing them for a few hours working in the hospital. Will return them.
