Not as comfortable for me as the Gaviota 2. Don't like the changes they made.

Had a walking partner who insisted I purchase these. They are very comfortable however, on one foot my 4 th toe gets turned under and now have a big blister/ callous.

I walk 7 miles a day, it is great for cushioning, however, I have recently found that my forefoot is not getting enough support.

The Gaviota 3 in a width D was very snug. I understand the Bondi 7 is made wider than the other styles so perhaps the D width shoe is more comfortable.

Exchanged for bigger size. I usually wear size 9 but needed a 9.5 in this shoe.

I no longer run so just walk a fast 3 miles every morning. This shoe seems to have a slightly sharp edge on the inside of the shoe where the arch of the insert meets the side of the shoe. Maybe the insert could be higher or reach to the top edge of the shoe? The Gaviota 2 was comfortable until I simply wore the shoes out. I wear a thicker sock with these new shoes but that should not be the solution. I really like the stability of these shoes for my aging legs and over pronation but I do think there is a design flaw .

This sneaker did not work for me. I walk 2-5 miles on concrete several days a week. My feet pronate. When I walked in these my feet kept hitting each other. Because of this I had to compensate by putting my feet further apart. This caused knee and hip pain. They were nice and cushiony though.

It's soft, it's comfortable. However, I feel the width is a little narrow. Also the price is too high.

Not as bouncy and spring and soft cushioned as Bondi. Sent them back. Stick with Bondi 6 or 7

Since Hoka shoes were my Doctor's recommended shoe, I bought 2 pairs. From different places. One on line, one in person. I also went to two different stores and was measured for 2 different sizes. I went with the color I liked best in the store. The shoes (both) fit well and I like. I wish Hoka made an all white leather shoe. That is what I really wanted, but they don't have or carry (online, or in store). I find that the shoes are hard to keep clean or to clean. I have even tried to use a shoe protector on the one pair and still find it hard to clean or keep clean!! VERY disappointing!!

I wanted to like these so bad but they hurt my feet and made my toes go numb and tingly. Also they made my shins hurt. Run true to size.

Toe box much bigger than with last pair of Gaviotas, and also with less forefoot cushioning. Disappointed

The top feels very comfy and my toes don't feel like their rubbing up against anything, but the instep hurts and feels like it is not shaped well and not giving my feet the shape they need for a stable walk.

Not entirely crazy about this redesign of the Gaviota. I'm not a runner! The Gaviota has been my walking shoe. But this redesign narrows the toe box too much and doesn't allow enough room for forefoot to spread out. I don't have a wide foot but I do appreciate having a roomy toe box!! Hoping I can find the Gaviota 2 somewhere!! Bring it back please!!!

This shoe has helped with side of the foot pronating pain but causes some metatarsal pain on one foot. I have slight bunions and this is definitely a snug fitting shoe.

I have always found Hoka to be high quality and consistent. But my Right foot is slightly larger than my left and surprisingly the right shoe is too loose on my heal.

I have loved my Hoka Gaviota 2 so I ordered the Gaviota 3 thinking it would be the same great fit. They definitely fiddled with the sizing and the stiffness of the shoe. I was super disappointed as these are totally different as one other reviewer stated. I wish that company's wouldn't fiddle around with a good thing. I am returning these.

I purchased the Bondi 7 before and loved it but wanted to try something different this time. The Gaviota was ok at first but ended up rubbing my big toe when I walked. I don't think I need a wider size since I have a narrow foot and the foot box was roomy. I ended up returning the Gaviota and getting another Bondi.

While these have a very comfortable feel wrapping around your foot, the soles are so large that I stumble over them if the footing is anything but dead level. The heel sticks out so far behind my actual foot that I catch the risers on my stairs coming down them. That has caused several near misses. I have also stumbled when walking, and tripped because the soles are so large and thick. I am becoming acclimated to the extra size of my foot while wearing them, so I thinkI'll keep them. I am not person who wears this type of shoe ordinarily, so if you do, and can navigate the extra width and depth you will find them very comfortable.

I loved loved loved my Gaviota 2s and was super excited when the 3s came out however the fit is not at all the same. I ordered the exact same size and width after asking the customer support team if the new model fits the same and receiving the answer that it does, but it just doesn't. These are much bigger and roomier in the front. Going to return. Also, I really wish the colors for the gaviotas could be nicer! Besides the blue they are just so boring.
