I would give this model of Glycerin zero stars if that was an option! I?ve been a Glycerin wearer for 6 years. I but a new pair for each half marathon, train and run in a new pair and then upgrade. This pair turns my inner heals in and causes my feet to go numb on any run further than 3 miles. I will be running my next half marathon in an old pair, because this pair is garbage! Everything I loved about Glycerin is gone with this model! Please go back to the shoe I loved!

I ran in glycerin's for years. I think my first pair were 11's. They were the first shoe I could put on and run for miles with no pain or stopping to adjust laces, etc. Starting with the 15's or 16's they started to change. They felt deconstructed, less cushion. But I found inserts that helped. By the 18's they were horrible. 19's are unwearable. I don't know why Brooks felt the need to mess with what was always one of the highest rated, most recommended long distance running shoe (glycerin rarely makes the list now or is last). Please bring back the 13/14's. I know a lot of runners that miss that shoe. For now I wear Hoka Bondi's and will continue to hope you stop ruining great shoes and bring back the old glycerins.

I bought these in two sizes. I usually wear 8.5 medium in sneakers (8 in street shoes). After reading reviews, I bought the 8.5 W and the 9 M. I've never worn Wide before but wanted to make sure they were roomy in toe box. I couldn't tell much difference between the W and the M. I have narrow heels and both fit fine. Either length worked. But I had to return both because they hurt the top of my foot no matter how much I loosened the laces. The toe box was wide enough, but there wasn't enough volume in the top of the shoe. I have skinny, low volume feet so this surprised me. Often times sandals don't fit because the straps don't make contact with my skinny feet on top. Maybe because I don't have much padding that's why they hurt. My feet felt sore for several hours after taking them off. I guess I'll go back to Hoka, even though I like the look and colors better with Brooks.

Have run in several pairs off Glycerins for past few years and ordered the 19s as a replacement for my 18s and these are just absolutely horrible. Something changed in the heel and it pierces into my Achilles tendon in a way I've never experienced from running shoes, I can't wear these shoes for walking let alone running, extremely disappointed and frustrated.

These are horrible. The 18 was so much better. These hurt my feet, rub my heels, and push on my toes. I?m a nurse and after wearing these, my feet are screaming. They?re cute but that?s it. I found the glycerin 18 on the Fit2Run website in my size and bought them in 3 different colors since apparently I won?t be upgrading to a newer model.

STOP IT!!! This is the 2nd time in 4-ish years that Brooks has radically changed the design of a classic shoe so that it no longer works for people with wider feet or who need orthotics. Last time they did this I had to change model and move from an 8.5 D to a 9.5 D. There is no wider option so now what? Run in a 10.5 D that's way too large everywhere except the midsole? Looks like I'm back to ordering 4-5 different styles in tons of sizes to try to find something that works again.

Disappointed. The new design hurts my feet! I love Brooks, the last pair I got felt different. I am returning this pair and replacing them with the Ghost 14.

I have worn Brooks walking shoes for years. They have been of the highest quality and best fit of any on the market. These were a shock. The construction was inferior - were they seconds? The measurement from the top of the rubber to the first hole in the upper was off by a half inch between shoes. The sole of the right shoe in the heel was visibly off center to the left. I had read reviews of similar poor construction for this style but had to believe it was an anomaly. It wasn't. I will avoid Brooks shoes until they get their quality control figured out. I would suggest you do the same.

I have been sooooo disappointed in the Glycerin 18 and 19 and would really LOVE to see the design move back to pre-18 models. I have worn the Glycerin for years and it was such a perfect shoe for me for so many reasons (superior cushioning, dna loft, wide toe box, deep heel box, super materials). I am disappointed in the new materials and lack of cushioning and miss the former dna loft construction because I feel that the former toe to heel "lift/stability" structure beneath the entire foot is no longer in the shoe. I also feel the sizing is different. I am really surprised that Brooks would even put this shoe on the market. It was such a disappointment for a shoe that has been so great for me for so long. I have tried so hard to find a shoe that now works for me and I can not. Help anyone? Thanks. Sandy D.

The back of the sneaker hits very high and was incredibly painful to wear. I wore it once and was left with blisters! I would not recommend these sneakers.

If you are a runner BE CAREFUL if you’re using a custom orthotic with this running shoe. It gave me such pain in the Achilles heel, arch and calf. It’s been a week and I only just got back to a walk/jog. This is after every day applying ice, heat, soaking in Epsom salt and resting. For a runner one month away from a race this is devastating. I have being a runner for years. Brooks really messed up on this one.

The Glycerin 19 was short and too narrow in the toe box. I tried the 1/2 size up (9 1/2) but it was much too big. Thankfully my running store had a couple of pairs (size 9) of the Glycerin 18 left for me to buy. Please change the Glycerin back to what the Glycerin 18 was in length and toebox.

I am very disappointed with the changes Brooks made to this shoe. The Glycerin 18 was fantastic--the 19 feels completely different. The bottom feels hard and not cushioned, and the walk is not smooth. The 18 had a long toe box, was supportive, soft, and didn't feel clunky. Brooks, PLEASE go back to the old materials and style. The Glycerin used to be a great shoe.
