I was not a fan of the waist band and brief liner compared to previous versions of this short so, I returned them for refund.

The waist band should be half the height. There should also be a 4? Sherpa.

Every running short I have is size Small. Waist size is 30. Because of the thick waist band, this short has a tighter fit tolerance than others... Small is too big and XSmall is too tight. Might work best if you are in the middle of a size range.

I am rather crushed. Brooks 5? Sherpa shorts were my absolute favorites for the last 10 years. This new waist band has ended it for me. Though it keeps the features it lost the comfort - at least for me. Sorry to see it go but thank you all the same to the Brooks team for so many years of happy running!

No zip phone pocket on thigh as shown in photos. Zip pocket on rear waistband does not fit any standard phone in 2024. A great fitting short lacking basic functionality for modern runners. Disappointed and returned.

The waistband design makes for an awkward fit. Almost like the trunks boxers wear where the waistband rides up too high.

Had for 6 months. Wore maybe 10 times and pocket tore and reflector logo on all brooks shorts came off. Followed all washing and drying instructions.

Redesign has ruined these classic shorts for me! Or maybe they sent me the women's equivalent by mistake? I'm really unhappy with these. New waistband - ok but the new lining provides no support, has no elasticity, and is too narrow for my junk (and I am just average in the size department there). These shorts used to provide amazing support for an all around workout but now they will go in the trash with a lesson learned.

Definitely not as good as the awesome ones of the same model from two years ago. They were absolutely perfect. Leg opening is 1" larger than last pair. Inner liner is worthless whereas the last pair was perfect and functional. Waistband is weird - never seen before on any shorts I've ever owned. Puzzled as to how they thought this was an improvement.

I like the length and the design, but the leg openings are ridiculously wide. No need to be that billowing at that length. Trim them up brooks. Returned.

Uncomfortable liner and back pocket too smal for phone. Great material though. Competitors had the complete package I wanted.

Sherpa was my primary running short for 5+ years, however this new version is the worst running short I have experienced. The wide waistband rides up and the liner is too small and uncomfortable. I had no complaints about the prior Sherpa, but this new version is unwearable for me to run in.

Previous model was great. Band is too thick, and the fit is too loose. Too many pockets and bad design.

The redesigned waist band is terrible and uncomfortable. After years of wearing exclusively sherpas, I have started the search for a new running short.
