These are great, soft, chafe-free shorts. PERIOD. Good storage too (zipper for key/id, and two open pouches for gels). Don't hesitate. Hit "yes"

I don't love the new waistband style, and I miss having the inner key pocket. I find the key loop to be fiddly and less convenient. I have had a bunch of Sherpa shorts over the years and they've been my go-to, but these updates aren't my favorite.

Seem to great except for a deal breaker. The interior liner isn't wide enough down below. It only comes halfway up my balls and chafes, instead of coming all the way back to my groin. I don't think it's because my nuts are abnormally large, either, unfortunately.

I've run in 5" sherpas for years through the design changes, this style with the high waste band is the best. Very comfortable, snug, but allows range of motion, not confining. I wear medium, I'm 33" waist, I think if I was 34", I'd go to a size L.

Risked trying these out on a humid rugged 20 mile trail run. Glad I did. Everything stays right in place. Light. Quick drying. My new favorite shorts.

Great light shorts to pop on and go. My phone has a little bounce in the back pocket but not too noticeable. I am a 31-32 waist (medium most brands) and the small fits well in these.

When you're trying to reduce layers to beat the heat, this is a great option. Zipper punch for your phone is secure with little bounce, additional pockets for gels eliminates the need for a pack. Dispersed sweat effectively with no moisture, so no friction. On long runs in the summer heat these shorts really have all you need.

Great shorts. Just ran the Colfax Marathon (Denver) in them. No issues at all.

The ultimate in utility shorts when it comes to running!

I own several pair (in both 5" and 7" length) and they are about as near perfection as running/workout garb can be. The wider waist band is extremely comfortable, the brief liner leg openings are snug but not binding and side pockets are just deep enough to secure my phone whether I'm walking, biking or working out. Unless you can get them on sale, they are a tad pricey, but well worth it.

Fantastic shorts. The pockets are very well designed and durable. My go to short for long runs.

The back pocket is is not big enough to carry a phone (not that you would like it there anyway), but know it is not big enough. I carry gels in the back pocket. Because it is zipped, you can also carry a key or other valuables. The hip pockets are fine for gels.

Absolutely enjoy my Sherpa shorts. They hold my business and are so light weight. The larger width waistband is comfortable. Plenty of pocket space for whatever though I usually don't like anything in them. Can't wait for the snow to melt.

I like these 5" Sherpas mostly because of the brief-style liner. But they also have great waist bands and good storage too. Only complaint is that there is no reflectors for nighttime.

The Sherpa 5 was very comfortable, light, moved well, with room for iPhone in back and pockets for keys. The liner could be a bit tighter, minor nit. Thanks. Will wear them on workouts and walks.

These running shorts are great for me (an average 2-5 mile (up to 10 km) runner who runs 2-3 times a week). I have running shorts from the Army, Marines, & Air Force and the options on these are more than sufficient for what I do. I bought these as I am trying to run more and I like the shoes, so I gave them a try. Now they are cheaper and if a person is looking for some running shorts, I say buy a pair and give them a go. They work, so you can not loose.

Love these shorts. They fit snug and the pockets and pouches are perfect for long runs. These are my go to shorts for long runs and races.

Great pair of running shorts. I would like the sherpa to be offered in a slightly shorter length for us shorter runners, but the pockets are perfect for marathon training.
