First I want to say that I absolutely love the Hyperion Tempo and have used it as my daily trainer since February when it first released. Gone through three pair at this point and is my favorite overall shoe of all time. However, this Hyperion Elite 2 really disappoints me. The stability is there, the foam is there this time after the too firm Elite 1, and the weight is there. The heel counter in this shoe absolutely destroyed my achilles on my first workout in the shoe. During the 6 mile tempo run the blister became progressively worse and it is still recovering two days later. I do not know how this got past initial testing the Hyperion Tempo's heel counter is amazing and so comfortable but this one is curved inwards and causes instant hot spots. Hope this will fade after being broken in but not sure yet. Otherwise amazing shoe but if I get blisters every run that will be a deal breaker especially for long distance races.

The sizing here is very odd. I take an 8 -81/2 and ordered a 9. I would need a 10 if I were keeping the shoe. Not sure what the design benefits are. I'm a veteran runner, I'd say there is less improvement with these shoes as claimed and more elements just plain missing. Insoles for example feel like a very thin piece of cardboard. This shoe feels hard, delicate and brittle. They weigh no more than a normal pair of, say, boot socks. Personally, I want to feel when I run that I am, in fact, wearing shoes. My speed is a function of several variables, feeling as though my feet are wrapped in a few Kleenex is not one of them. This shoe takes light weight to an almost dangerous extreme. I wanted very much to like this shoe. Comments - whose authenticity I'm in some doubt now - told me to get ready to love them, but they're on their way back. Be careful here...

I've put in about 20 miles of tempo runs in this shoe. I've run in all the other brands carbon plated shoes which are fast but comes with some post run issues. The Hyperion Elite 2 is not only fast but my feet better than in these vs the other carbon plated shoes. My feet feel less achy the next day too. I will be buying a second pair. This has become my favorite shoe in my arsenal.

I love the Hyperion Tempo's DNA Flash foam so I have been very excited for this shoe and it did not disappoint! First run out of the box was a 4 mile time trial and the shoe performed very well. The pace felt very smooth after the first 1/4 mile and it made turns better than any other "super shoe" I have tried. The shoe is a great blend of light, springy, stable, and comfortable. It will be my new racer at every distance on the road!

Best shoe on the market, just wish there was a law forbidding to sell at a price so high for such little material.

After taking a few years off from racing, these sneakers were completely different (in a good way) from what I was used to. For half marathons or less I always used Brooks T7 and ST5 for marathons. So coming from a minimalist-low cushion racer to the Hyperion was completely new experience. The Hyperions felt light, comfortable and bouncy. I didn't experience any blistering or chaffing in the Achilles area as others have described. The sneakers propel me throughout the race and definitely delayed the onset of leg fatigue.

I've only run a fast tempo workout and an interval workout in these but I am very impressed. I was running faster paces than I felt like I was running, with ease. I'm planning on racing the B.A.A. (virtual) distance medley in them. I was an entrant for this year's Boston Marathon and had purchased a pair of Nike Next% in my excitement about qualifying and getting in. When Boston finally cancelled I immediately returned the Nike's because I was never confident in the fit (my toes on one side were hitting the toe-bumper but another size up would have been sloppy). I was excitedly anticipating a Brooks marathon "super-shoe", especially having enjoyed the Hyperion Tempos over the last 6 months or so (see my review of those). The HE2 are a joy right out of the box. I like many of the same things I love about the Tempos: the snug midfoot fit and ability to lock that in with the laces, the generous toe box, and the super light, breathable upper. Then there's that midsole which is springy and responsive and very protective at the same time. I like that the plate is not noticeable at slower paces where the roll design dominates, but at quicker paces it encourages you to fly, especially if you're a midfoot striker (as I am). Some people have expressed a wish for a gusseted tongue but for me the tongue stays put. Another issue some have mentioned is the heel collar rubbing and causing blisters on the Achilles area. To err on the side of caution, I put a little piece of tape there and had no problem. I expect that edge will soften with use anyway, but I'm sure Brooks is listening. Most of all, I want to emphasize that this shoe is comfortable, fun and stable. I'm a neutral runner but I ordered a couple of "super shoes" to try and had my husband film my feet from behind in slow motion while running on the treadmill. Despite the high stack height, my landings in this shoe were perfectly stable (normal, healthy pronation). In starkest comparison were the NB RC Elites, which had impressed me at first as being an extremely bouncy, fun shoe. However, we were shocked to see that they forced a pronounced extra movement at every footfalla pronation I don't naturally have. Amplifying that over 26.2 miles cannot be a good thing, so I immediately returned them. When I finally took the HE2's outside and did those fast workouts, my legs felt fresher than they normally would after that kind of running, so I am very much looking forward to taking them to HM and marathon distance. I found my super-shoe!

Order one half size up as normal size wouldn’t fit. On the third run the front portion of the sole started peeling off the toe. Should not happen with a $250 shoe. Run is fine.

These were my first Brooks ever and I like them . I use these shoes for long runs, and ran my 2023 Boston Marathon in these shoes. They are light and comfortable for long runs. Note : You need a 1/2 size up

I have been running in Glycerins or similar Brooks for 6 years, these are completely different and Amazing. It's either the extremely light weight, or the carbon plate, or the rounded toe and heel, who knows, but they are Fast. They also like a high speed to feel natural, anything faster than a 8:00 min mile and they really start to do what they were made to do- the shoe Becomes more efficient at higher speeds.

Love this shoe because it?s lightweight has plenty of shock absorption and with an insert added it?s perfect and on top of that it?s nice looking.

I alternate between Launch and Hyperion Tempo for training and workouts. The Hyperion Elites give me a little more pop and speed during races, and fit my feet like other Brooks.

I love this shoe for races. I train in the Glycerin. But race with the Hyperion Elite. Very cushioned ride. Just enough room in the toe box. I prefer a roomy toe box.

These shoes really helped me to go out and walk and run. As a lazy runner I would do a slow walk, then run for three miles and then walk back. All told five miles. And I would do it maybe once a week. These shoes helped me tremendously and I felt very bouncy and confident in them. They really helped my fatigue. I was able to keep going whereas in other shoes I would just stop and take an Uber home. Things like that. The shoes lasted about a year for me, and they looked great the entire time. One morning I put them on and they didn't feel cushy or bouncy anymore. I had put around 300 miles on them. Time to order a new pair.

Brooks are the best running shoes for all terrains. I especially love the Hyperion Elite $ Tempo, as I have both I'm an avid runner, trail runner, biker, and overall gym rat. Brooks are the best and I own at least 8-10 pairs

Best running shoes I've had! Got these a couple weeks ago and they have run everyday. I prefer to run 3-10 miles on the road so I look for a shoe that propels me forward. These have tons of cushion, and help propel me but are a very light shoe. Other shoes I've tried go get this feeling: ASICS novablast, Nike react, brooks levitate.. these are by far the best and "springy". I generally wear a 6.5 Womens size shoe, bought a 5.5 unisex for these and they are perfect. Will definitely get these again.

These shoes have changed my life! I have always appreciated my Ghosts while training and running in 5K and 10K races. But, with the Hyperion Elite 2, I have had no cranky knee pain and can now run further, faster (I notice I run my slow miles a minute faster without trying in these!), and recover more quickly. I was hesitant to spend so much, but when these went on sale, I figured I would give them a try - and after putting 50 miles on these in recent weeks, I am afraid I might be unable to run in anything else! Sizing for these is aligned to my Ghost 14 sizing (W8).

Great racing shoe for a runner who is comfortable running in neutral shoes and wants an extra boost. These provide a little something extra over the Hyperion Tempo. Highly recommend!
