My wife got me this mug for Christmas! I loved it until the spring-loaded plastic part you push to open it came off. It won't stay on. We took it back to the store and they replaced it with a new one. But now the new one keeps falling off along with the spring behind it. I love how hot it keeps the coffee but bummed when the piece keeps falling off. As I speak, it's sitting under the seat of my patrol vehicle so now I have to try and find it. . . AGAIN! Ugh!

Probably the best mug I've owned!! Keeps coffee hot as advertised and is indestructible in build. Now, let's talk about the lid... I understand the need for reliable one-hand operation but the lid is WAY over-engineered and has too many parts. My lid became unusable after about 2 weeks of daily use, because the button became too hard to push in, even when using two hands. I've washed it daily, disassembled and reassembled per instructions, but the lid just doesn't work anymore. As a result, I've been unable to use the mug and had to go back to my Thermos mug. Stanley: please rework the lid, please! All that's needed is a simple flip top to achieve the same spill proof goal, and is much easier to operate one handed. I am waiting for something like this to become available so I can start using my Stanley mug again. Ratings: mug=5/5 stars, lid=1/5 stars

Overall, a good product. But if you have arthritis in your thumbs -- fairly common in older folks -- you may experience too much pain to make operating the pushbutton worth it. Weaker springs, or a design with less friction in the button mechanism, would make me an enthusiastic user.

I love the look, but I was really expecting a lot more from this product. The drinks do NOT stay hot long at all. Very disappointing.

While the thermos still holds temperature well, there is material bouncing around inside of the vacuum. I've used the thermos three times and it's never been in the dishwasher so I don't know how it happened. It now sounds like a baby rattle when I use it.

It is a nice mug however the trigger action leaks when the mug is on its side or turned upside down.

I have this mug in pink and love how hot the coffee stays. Recently ordered another in the cream color and was very disappointed. The coffee is barely luke warm. Why would the color make a difference in the temperature of the mug?

I loved this mug.until it started leaking. I'm sad because I bought another as a gift and the other person told me he had the same situation. Plus the lid it's difficult to clean. :(

I adore the new color options. However, the quality of the lid is extremely disappointing. I have the older version (bought many many years ago) and the lid is sturdy, like the body of the travel mug. The new lid feels like a cheap free toy from a Mcdonald's happy meal. It's durability is highly questionable. Please bring back the original lid! Simply put, this mug is not worthy of more than 2 stars when considering the lid- better off paying a little more for another brand. This makes me sad as i have been a stanley customer for a long time- before it was "cool"..

In a attempt to improve on there product, just like every manufacture, their cup gets worst. When I bought my first Stanley cup 3 models ago it was great. Not only keeping my coffee hot but easy to take completely apart so it was easy to clean. It got damaged so I bought the next model. This one did not come completely apart and therefore wasn't as easy to clean. I lost that one and bought the current model. What a disappointment. They changed the way the rubber stopper piece is attached to the lid and it keeps falling off. I don't know if they changed the way the lid goes together or not but the bottom half on mine keeps falling off and falling into my coffee. There has to be a better cup made by a different manufacture out there somewhere and I am going to start looking for it. It is a shame because I have been using Stanley Thermos for 45 years but now I got to be looking for something else. STANLEY, what is the lesson here!!! I'll tell you because it is obvious you haven't a clue, "if you make a great product leave it alone...."

Not for small hands (or arthritic ones). I had to hold the mug with my thumb right under my lips to be able to push the trigger (making it hard to drink), and the trigger was hard to push. It would be better with either some kind of lock to keep the sipping hole open or a lid with a simple flip that will lock open or shut. Nice colors, other than the lid it is well constructed.

A terrible design flaw: Cannot turn the mug upside down. That will cause hot liquid getting out from the trigger bottom and burn your finger. Can't return because the item has to be unused as Stanley's return policy. The vacuum bottles will be a way better choice than this.

I purchased this mug because of the claim it will keep your coffee hot for hours, well that claim is not true. For the price I paid it should do as expected. I want to buy another mug but after spending the money on this one and it not working I don't want to waste more money.

I have 2 others that are great, which is why I purchased a third in a different color. It came with something loose on the inside of it and it wiggles around in there. It was a gift for my husband so by the time I knew about the defect, I couldn't return it.

Bought this cup for my wife. The button that you push to drink the coffee fell off. When the cup is full, hot liquid comes out of the button area. Ouch! When the cup is laid down at an angle, it leaks. The cap is too high tech with too many parts. Make it simple with less parts. Oh...like Hydroflask. Now that's a cup!!!

Bought two. One plastic top failed with a broken internal piece after two days use. The second lasted about four months until the plastic top broke after falling onto the ground.

I bought this yesterday at the local Wal-Mart to replace the Starbucks Tumbler I purchased 10 years ago that started leaking this week. I have the Classic 24 oz food jar that works better than advertised and decided to purchase this based on how well the 24 oz food jar works. I primed the container with hot water before putting coffee into the container. I left for my two hour bike ride. When I stopped at the 90-minute mark to take a sip. I expected my hot coffee to warm me, but instead it was just warm. It was no where near as hot as I expected. On the plus side, the lid is as advertised and does not leak. However, it does not keep the liquid hot for the advertised seven hours.

I bought this mug ten months ago and while the coffee stays hot for an extended period of time the top has become difficult to release. I am at a point where I have to remove the entire top to drink from a wonderful mug. I purchased this in the US but live in Europe so replacement is not an option at this time.

We've had ours for about 2 years, and the mug still keeps coffee hot. There are only 2 problems with it: 1) the 3-part lid is hard to clean, so my husband won't put anything in his coffee that could sour (cream) or mold (sweeteners or flavorings) 2) the little black stopper on the middle part of the lid, that "closes the hole" has come off several times while washing (by hand). We finally lost it (it is small enough to go down the drain without realizing it). I don't see any way to buy just that part, so the mug doesn't work as well anymore. A waste of a good mug for one little part.

The first two times I used it, my coffee was just drinking temperature at noon (made at 6:30 am) and now, after a few weeks of use, my coffee is luke warm at noon. The design is convenient but the lid leaks heat. You can feel the heat escaping as soon as you screw the lid on.

I like the mug on days when it works, however coffee leaking from the button is more common than not. At 5:30 am when I leave for work I don't have the time or desire to deal with leaks. Now I have lost the rubber gasket while cleaning and it is definitely not leak proof.

This mug just like most other Stanley mugs is great at keeping my drinks hot. However at the end of each day I have to take apart the lid and soak it then wash it. Then make sure to dry completely (I put it under a fan). If not YOU WILL GET MOLD IN YOUR LID. I spend more time cleaning this mugs lid than I do cleaning the mug and thermos that I have very disappointed in this product looking for replacement mugs now
