Otherwise this mug is good. And Stanley has replaced it every time, but I've been forced to buy a competitor's product, and that one is great without the frequently breaking lid. My last replacement lid literally lasted 2 uses.

I bought 2 mugs a few months ago and within a week the small cap on the inner mechanism had popped off. I retrieved it from the sink. Last night I wasn't so lucky. It either went down the drain or went into the garbage when I emptied my strainer. The second mug is fine but I am really disappointed with the first mug. That small cap is the flaw in the system - an expensive flaw, I've discovered.

The unit does keep liquids hot for hours, but I received a unit: Classic One Hand Vacuum 12 oz. that had a jammed press-release button. So I would never buying this product again

Received this as gift, I loved it for awhile, but the button you push to allow the coffee to come out was stiff, and seemed to have a catch, and has gotten harder to push, and now makes a loud popping sound when it finally opens. It takes way too much pressure to open.

Since all the reviews are about the button popping off after a few uses why are you not responding to the issue ? . Stanley was very fast to reply to a rubber taste but that was only one review nothing on the button. I was very excited to buy this product but now I am reconsidering it.

Bought this to take to work with me at the power station, didn't want to carry the full size flasks as we get breaks often , so I thought this was ideal, lasted 2 weeks , the buttons popped off and now won't attach back, not impressed at all, I've had Stanley flasks now for over 10 years and my 3 litre is a little worse for wear to look at but still keeps heat and is practically indestructible, it's even been run over by a tank in soft ground , but the mug , was only in my pocket , then on a machine where I was working, never seen any abuse , I'm back in the country now so I'll be taking it back to the shop, disappointed

CLASSIC ONE HAND VACUUM MUG 16oz

No obvious way to contact via email to ask questions, or I would request a new lid.
The lid to produces a vile taste, I've washed several times and followed the instruction.
I cannot even finish a full mug, even with just water. It seems like the plastic wasn't cured correctly.
I really like all the other Stanley products I have owned in the past.

I bought this excited to take it camping/hiking/fishing and use it for hunting early mornings (one hand, no steam). Filled it up with coffee on the first day I got it and half way through drinking my coffee the button popped off. There's no way to reattach it. Got a new one and the same thing happened again, literally on my first use. I can kind of get the button to stay in place but it gets popped off too easy to take into the bush - I'd lose the button right away. Now I have a (basically) useless "thermos". Extremely disappointed. Keeps the coffee hot though.

I ordered this mug and a 18oz water bottle for my wife. They came in the mail today and the coffee mug button is so hard to push, she can't use it. I had high hopes and was hoping they would be a pleasant surprise for her, but the surprise was on me. She is neither big or strong, and the button isn't easy to push for a lady. May be great for a man. Note - we have never used the product yet.

The product has a really bad lid and I routinely get hot beverage all over me on my drive to work. The mug needs to stay perfectly flat or you will be wearing your drink. This was a gift and it's really terrible. Do not buy.

The lid is a complete failure either in design, manufacturing, or both as it leaked on day one, although the mug itself is well made (good stainless steel that keeps beverages hot/cold) I tolerated the leaky lid for a while, but finally purchased a replacement lid from Stanley hoping it would not leak. I was wrong. After four months the replacement lid started to leak just like the first. Fed up, I purchased a new mug from another brand, which has not leaked one drop to date.
I'm quite disappointed as I know the Stanley thermos has always been a good product. Unfortunately, this mug simply does not cut it.

My son got me one for Christmas my problem is the plunger that opens the mug to release the liquid , being a knifesmith I have fairly strong hands yet it still requires a great deal of effort to open the mug , sometimes two hands and it opens with a pop!I have taken it apart and looked at the alignment and even with the lid off the body the problem persists.

Just got this mug, followed the directions on disassembly, care and assembly and the mug would not permit liquid through the drink opening and leaked through the push button (despite only pushing the button in the upright position). The only way I could get liquid to come out of the drink opening was to remove the rubber gasket on the plunger, but then it leaks like a sieve?! How do you get this thing to work correctly, or is it an inherently flawed design?? Very frustrated -- I should have read reviews ahead of time... might have been better off with $25 worth of paper cups...

Been frustrated with this unit for months. Some days works fine, the next few uses leak thru the button. Disappointed that I recommended this device to family members and coworkers.
