My son bought me this mug for my birthday a year and a half ago. It keeps my drink hit or cold for hours. My only issue is that the rubber gaskets easily get lost and you cannot get just the replacement gaskets. You need to buy a new lid. Bummer. I think these mugs should come with extra or have them for sale! I would definitely recommend this mug if new gaskets were made available.

I also lost my mouth piece gasket and so now it leaks when tipped over. I sent an email today to get a replacement piece. I will have to see how long it will take to receive. I remember seeing the piece but I had no idea it was from my mouth piece. My son who has same mug pointed out to me that I lost the black piece that covers the area that is circled in the below photo. Keep an eye on this piece when you are cleaning your cup. Really like that you can take apart the cover to clean.

My friend got this for me as a gift after talking to someone who had one and loved it. I too loved it, but then washed the lid in the dishwasher (as it says I can) and didn't notice the small gasket that keeps it leak-proof was missing until it leaked all over some paperwork. I have emailed Stanley, so we'll see what happens... Very bummed, as this was a gift and they are not cheap!

I'm not gonna lie - I had issues with this mug - but the Stanley customer service were quick to response, were very polite and offered a quick solution (that didn't really work, but they tried!).
I'm writing this review so they might fix/be aware of this issue for future customers.
Bought this mug through Amazon and I use it to prepare my morning coffee before I go to the office. I make a "Bulletproof Coffee" - coffee that includes grass fed butter and MCT oil. So naturally, every component of the mug, including the push button lid, would be drenched with oil. In addition, after making the coffee and mixing the ingredients inside the mug (by shaking it), some pressure builds-up inside the mug and need to be released by pressing the push button. After a number of time preparing this coffee the push button started to fall off (more like flying off because of the spring). My theory, and I could be wrong, is that the pressure inside the mug with the addition to the oil are causing the button to be ejected out that easily. And I'm sure the strength of the spring does not help either.
After contacting customer service, they sent me a brand new lid. And after a few tries I've experienced the same issue.
So, am I doing something wrong? (pushing a button is pretty easy) or that dam push button is so cheaply made? I can't imagine Stanley are trying to cut cost with it.
Maybe this mug is not designed to have coffee with oils in it? Who knows.
The funny thing is, I love this mug! It keep the coffee warm for a long time and if the push button is in place there are no leaks.
Since, I've returned the mug and I'll probably buy a new mug without a push button. Just in case.
Hope this review helps.

I've used Stanley thermos for nearly 30 years and have only had to replace a lid twice. I found this mug at the store and my hubby loves it! Have used it about a year but now there is a plastic piece that has broke on the lid and I can not find a replacement, rendering the mug useless. My hubby and I are very disappointed with Stanley for not having a replacement.

This is a great concept. The coffe stays good and hot through 18 hole of golf, even in the winter months. Developed a problem with the push button recently, I can't press it hard enough, even with both hands to engage the mechanism enough to fully open the hole so that I can drink the coffee. A replacement lid is needed. I have several friends that purchased one of these mugs after I did and they are not having any problems with theirs.

I love this mug! It's tough and durable, and keeps my coffee hot all day long even when sitting in my work van for hours in -20c and fits perfectly in the cup holder of both my jeep and work van. Unfortunately, like many others I have lost the little rubber grommet while cleaning it. I saw it floating in the dish water for a brief moment before it dissappeared down the drain. (Gee, that looked funny, I wonder what that was...) I only realized that it was missing when I spilled coffee all over my shirt and down my pants while holding the mug under my arm while locking my door to leave for work. I have been using it minus the grommet for about 4 months now and although it is no longer spillproof it doesn't seem to affect the thermal effectiveness of the mug. If I can replace this one small part everything will be right with the product. So tell me Stanley, other than stealing one off a new mug from the store, which I would never do, how can I get a replacement grommet?

Hoping the replacement rubber seal will be available as separate part item versus the need to purchase the entire lid.

I like the size, and it keeps my coffee hot until I've finished it, but the lid is not convenient. The button to push to open the spout gets sticky from the inside while you're drinking your coffee, especially if you use any kind of flavor syrup or flavored creamer, as these have sticky sugars. The lid is also very difficult to get totally clean if you hand wash dishes, vs use a dishwasher. I never feel totally confident that it's completely clean. It comes apart into 2 pieces to clean, but there are so many small pieces within the lid that are impossible to get to, so I soak it for a long time before washing.

No matter how much I wash it, seems like the top makes everything taste strange/musty.

I love the look and style of this mug! The only problem is cleaning the top part once taking out the trigger mechanism. I put iced coffee/iced matcha and I don't know what to do to get it fully clean. There is always remnants stuck to the lid :(

I wanted to like it. I really did.
Pros- does a fantastic job keeping your drinks warm
Cons-it is NOT spill proof. Coffee drips from the top opening. Also you have a press the button on the back to drink. I found it's a little awkward to press it. To clean it, the inside mechanism has to be popped out and removed, so you have a small piece clean as well.

Yes, this travel mug does as advertised, keeps coffee warm for 7 hours, is easy to clean, and will not leak if momentarily held up side down. The problem is the actuation for the top - mine was extremely difficult to open. Defiantly not able to do with index finger. Maybe mine was a fluke. Reached out to Stanley to open a discussion on this - but still haven't heard from them after 3 days. Love Stanley products, have several other items that I am very happy with. Just not this one.

Missing from this new classic trigger mug is the invaluable finger loop and flip-up dust / pet-lick cover. The previous design was absolutely the best travel mug on the market. Bar none.

Got this (16oz) through Nat'l Ski Patrol. Liked it...kept coffee warm. "Trigger" got way too hard to push. Took it apart and cleaned it several times. Could no longer use.
