The biggest problem is it falls over easy and there is no wrist strap or handle. I wish they had a handle that would clamp on.

Worked great until the rubber stopper was lost. I can't find a replacement stopper.

Stick with the previous version of this product. The lid was easy to disassemble and clean whereas this one seems impossible and I can't locate instruction via this website to prove differently.

My screw cap lid broke the 2nd time I used it. Shortly after, the rubber stopper on the mouth of the lid fell off and now is a source of leaky coffee. The mug keeps my coffee hot and all else is very durable. Seems like Stanley needs to dial-in the cap a bit. Mine has to have a rubber band around the button to keep from falling apart. I have two other mugs that had been previously discontinued and they lasted a few years before one of the caps had broken with the same issue.

Button on mine keeps popping off. Can put back in but is useless unless you find the little spring. This started happening about 6 months. Now the seal is missing & leaks. Don't normally search my sink after I wash dishes so, I guess bye bye. Light use, don't abuse it.

I bought two of these at Starbucks. The button broke off on one, and within a week the button broke on the second. My use was easy, so this definitely is a design defect.

Overall the sealing factor is fantastic. However, the button broke off which is an important part of this product. I noticed stanleys products with smaller internal pieces ruin their potentially awesome products. so be aware of this factor when buying this.

I used mine for several years, but the little rubber stopper wore out. Now it leaks, and no replacement parts are available. So much for lifetime warranty!

My complaint is odd, the coffee will not cool down enough to drink. I got this cup for Christmas. This cup does everything they say! I like to drink coffee, so it does not need to stay hot for 9 hours. I have a thermos for that.
The lid does not spill, & is easy to use. The cup looks nice & is easy to clean. Should last a lifetime with a little care (very little), This is built well like the thermos. I will not through it away but it is not my favorite cup. Recommend with restrictions

I bought this while on vacation in Maine. It was excellent at keeping my coffee hot for the whole day. It's tough, looks nice. One problem I have with it now is it's useless for sealing since the small rubber sealing piece kept falling off, until it fell off and was lost while washing dishes. That should be put on with a better design. I have contacted Stanley on 3 accounts, and after they asked for my info off the mug I never heard back, and it's been weeks. They have a "lifetime warranty, and Stanley promise", doesn't seem like they stand by it. If this is how they back their product by ignoring a customer I will buy another brand "Y".

I love this mug! It fits well in my cup holder in the car and on the harley making me a happy guy. The only bad thing is my roommate lost the rubber stopper off of the inside of the lid and now it no longer seal which means I no longer use it. I have looked many times for it in the replacement parts and it never shows up. If there were a way to buy the replacement rubber stopper for it then I would be back to carrying this mg every day since it kept my coffee warm for most of my 12 hour shifts as a nurse.

I bought the one hand vacuum mug, 16 oz about 4-6 weeks ago. I have found that it doesn't keep coffee hot for more than an hour or hour or so. It quickly goes from lukewarm to tepid. I am careful in how I put the coffee, brewed as hot as I can, into the mug after preheating the mug with just-boiled water. I fill the mug up to the line, then put on the top. But the mug simply doesn't keep it hot as long as I was expecting. It seems to me that the mechanism that closes the mug is overly complicated and compromises the mug's ability to keep the beverage hot. I rated it average because it does about as well as a cheap thermos I could buy at the supermarket. But this mug was expensive, to I do not consider it average in terms of value.

Bought this at Walmart. Absolutely love the thermos as a whole but the lid sticks and you have to use both hands to push the button in which is an unnecessary problem. Until the lid is fixed or I can find replacement lids I won't recommend or buy this product again. Unfortunate, but the lid isn't worth fighting for each sip.

Had this for a few months now, it's a wonderful mug but my only complaint would be that the lid has to be takin apart in to four pieces, which is easy to do but the lid is a pain to clean.

Great container as we all expect from Stanley, but the side button pops off, rendering it useless. Please design a new lid for us to use with this great one-hand vacuum mug.

This was a great cup. We have had it for about a year. The lid broke. Tried to get a replacement part and of course they are backordered. This is the same issue everyone else has had. They need to make parts available to customers that have spent money on their product already to resolve a problem. They have the parts for manufacturing everyday as they are just choosing not to satisfy current customers with issues. Customers will just buy a different brand and not use Stanley again. Get with it.

Love the thermos but the lid is poorly designed and a small little rubber cover over the mouth piece was lost in the washing. Now cannot get it replaced without buying new, and thermos is not that old.

I love Stanley products and was super excited to try out the mug. It is completely leak proof, keeps things hot and cold for a long time and is easy to clean. However .... DO NOT LOSE PIECES. There is a little rubber piece in the lid that keeps the mug leak proof. I have been trying to be super careful about not losing this piece, but it is now gone. Probably it was knocked onto the floor and vacuumed up or fell into the sink drain. It's such a tiny piece, and it stressed me out every time I cleaned the mug. It would be great if Stanley sold replacements for these or changed the design so that the tiny little piece wasn't removable. I still continue to use and enjoy the mug, I can can't toss it in my bag anymore and go.

I've had this thermos for about a year and just recently the cap started to leak. The button to open the valve also became very difficult to press in. This thermos does keep your drink warm for a few hours, however, this isn't the best product if you are looking to purchase. I feel like the design of the button to open valve is in the wrong location.. instead of using my fore finger to press and drink, it would have been much easier to use my thumb.
Ehh.. look for something else.

This mug is fantastic, it keeps all of my beverages warm and it has never leaked. Sadly the "Stanley" sticker started peeling off almost right after I purchased it which is annoying because I didn't expect it to wear so easily and it is a little peevish when I'm holding and drinking it. I really hope this is just a problem with my bottle.

Love the travel cup but I needed to replace the top not long after buying it. For some reason it just started to leak. The top looked fine but I couldn't line it up correctly anymore for some reason. Annoying because you can't go to a store for parts. looking online now for the part.

love this mug, use(d) it every day, just like most everybody on here that is until, you try and clean the lid and the spring pops out from the button and the little rubber thing goes missing and you are SOL. coffee leaks everywhere now and i am not happy.
dear Stanely design team, please just make a simple lid with little to no parts like everybody else that works! please! no need to reinvent the wheel here and make things more complicated than they need be. you have the best mug out there by miles, i know i've owned a lot, but the worst lid as the whole 30$ system is rendered useless by a 1 cent part.
i shouldn't have to but i would buy a new lid and be done with this and have my mug back like you could with klean kanteen or hydroflask but can't find one anywhere online. that is insult to injury.
please, just make a better lid. keep it simple...

I bought this mug about 2 weeks ago. On all occasions it was upright in my work bag and beach bag, it left a trail of ice tea on the ground while walking to the beach leaving me no beverage in the heat, in the work bag 1st time when I took it out of the bag half of my coffee poured out, 2nd time entire contents poured out inside the bag. When I put my bag on my shoulder to go into work coffee was running down my side and all over my clothes also got all over my paperwork. Leak proof REALLY?
