I actually love these shoes. They feel great and perfect for my foot but I just think they are over priced. They should be the same price as the Clifton 7.

Despite other reviewers I found the shoe a bit too wide. Good room in toe box, but foot slipped in heel and midsole. Liked the former platform and colors were neat. Will likely replace with a stability shoe for plantar fasciitis which is healing in an old pair of Kayanos most people would likely like the Clifton Edge.
I'd also recommend:

After getting used to them (yes they run different than regular clifton) I realy like them. No only are they comfy and snug they also look cool (gender neutral ones)

I use my Hoka sneakers for training and just walking around. I have spinal and knee issues, and my Hokas support and cushion.

I LOVED the cushion of this shoe and I WANTED to make it work but it was just too narrow for my foot (9.5 Wide) and I couldn't use my insoles for high arches. I ordered a different Hoka to try next!

The sneaker is very comfortable. I like the wider toe box and arch support. The only negative is the bottom rear portion of the sneaker is "clunky" and gets caught on things, say walking down the stairs. I would have given it 5 stars if not for that. I will wear them but will have to look to other types to but in the future.

I received the wrong shoes inside the box. I have to call twice to get someone to get the procedure going. They quickly send the replacement shoes and issue a return for the wrong one. Now that I have my New Clifton Edge I have no issues. They do run a little big than expected

Comfy and stylish, but I just wished they had more of a cushion like the Gaviota 2 I had purchased for one of my sons (I wished they had my size when I bought those for I also love the color combination- Imperial blue/Anthracite). Also, given I wear a size 14, the bump out at the rear of the shoe causes my foot to get stuck while driving. I have learned how to overcome that issue, but I can easily see how it can be a problem for people like me.

The shoes were true to size and running 3-5.5 miles at a time has felt like running on air. They so comfortable that I convinced my wife to buy a pair of Clifton's since she doesn't run and she is thrilled with the comfort of her new shoes.

Pros: light, breathable, soft. Con: I have a longer than average arch. She size 9.5, arch length 11. Though it has great shock absorption and my knees feel pretty darn good, the arch support is lacking. I tried a 10 at first but the shoe box was too sloppy so I had to compromise and go to a 9.5.

As a long term Brooks wearer, the Clifton Edge was my first experience with HOKA. Positives: Light weight with relatively good torsional rigidity - a rare combination. Rocker sole protects great toe joint from excessive motion and wear and tear. Tongue stays in place nicely. Negatives: Toe box is a bit narrow. Lower heel drop takes some time getting used to. In order to prevent achilles tendon strain, I added a silicone heel lift. Laces seem to become "untied" easily - need to double knot to prevent loosening.

Love the shoe and styling! I've received a ton of compliments on them. I've put roughly 30 miles on these so far and they seem to be holding up well. No rubbing on the heel whatsoever, but they do seem to fit a bit tighter in width so if you have wide feet I probably would not recommend this particular shoe. I've also noticed the grip is starting wearing pretty fast in certain areas of the bottom of the shoe (outer edges of heel on right/left and the middle of the bottom of the shoe). I do mostly outdoor runs on pavement and I love these shoes, but think I would try a different model after these wear out since I'm new to the Hoka shoe line and would love to try another style! I gave it 4 out of 5 due to the tread wearing fast, but overall I would recommend the Clifton Edge!

There are two set back but despite of it I love this shoe. After 100 miles there is tear and ware taking a toll on the sole. The tongue is to harsh on the bridge

I bought these shoes for my husband. He has regular width feet, but this shoes are pretty tight. One foot even uncomfortable. The laces have to be open to the maximum.

My son is training for a 5k run and needed new running shoes. Bought for him as Xmas gift. He says these are very comfortable and highly recommends them.

Love style and feel. Hard edges around ankle rub my outside right ankle raw under fibula. Added padding seems to help. Would love to see softer cushioning added here.

I love how light weight these shoes are. So many of the running shoes have been getting heavier and it's great to see a company figure out cushioning but keep things light weight. I also like how reflective they are as I do most of my running in the dark. I love the design!!

At first I wasn't too sure about the less cushion at the arch- but the more I used it, the more I liked it. And, side note, I get a lot of compliments, even though I feel like they look a little funny

I have put around 100 miles into this shoe and there is no outsole traction anymore due to lack of rubber, other than that, I put my own insole in as there is none in the shoe originally and have had almost no complaints rather than the whole breaking in process. It's a high quality, breathable shoe that also looks really good, perfect shoe if you want a more responsive and controlled stride
