I am a supinator with constatnt forefoot pain. I have to take a few days off after every run. I've tried quite literally 8 different brands of shoes before landing on these and I am happy to say that I am in love. I strongly recommend these for running as a great neutral shoe for those with any foot issues.
As far as running goes, these are light and have a quick transition. I would feel comfortable even doing sprints in these, but I imagine these are desined as daily miles shoes. Anyway, they're great and you should consider these!

If you were expecting a traditional Clifton, then this is not the shoe for you. However, if you need something light, responsive, stable, and FAST, then make sure you pick up the Clifton Edge. Feels much more like a Rincon than a Clifton, which is fine as long as you are expecting it. I will be keeping this shoe in my quiver for tempo and long run days. I think it really shines anywhere between 6 and 8 min pace.

I purchased this shoe as a replacement to the standard Cliffton as I was looking for a shoe with more response. Could not be more pleased. Cushion, fit, and response. Only wish they had rubber pads at the heel like the standard Cliffton, use these for long runs and the shoe is showing wear after 50 miles.

The size is the same as my many previous Hoka models and true to size. I have ran ~30 miles in the Edges and I really like the feel. Also run in Hoka Rincon which I still like very much and will continue to use in my shoe rotation. I do like the "rocker" affect of the Edge. Very smooth!

The Clifton Edge is one of the best running shoes I have ever worn. I has given me a smooth easy ride over short and long distances. I've also been very impressed with its stability.

I have ran in the Clifton for years. I purchased the new Clifton Edge looking for a shoe that would enable me to be a little more of a heel striker. This shoe accomplishes this great. I also love the flared out sole it enables a little more support with out having to go to a guidance or stability shoe. As usual the weight of the shoe is very light and the cushioning is fantastic. I'm going to buy a second pair of these since the performance is so good! keep up the great work Hoka!!

This is a great running shoe! But I don't recommend walking in them for 15 miles. Oh my aching feet. Lol

Was unsure about this shoe since it's in the famous Clifton lineup. Bought a pair and all I can say is wow!!! They feel amazing and the fit is spot on. I hope Hoka keeps making this shoe and just keeps perfecting it. The new foam in this shoe has some responsiveness to it. Great shoe for all types of runs!

Experimented. Last Hoka was super plush but a bit heavy for me. Clifton just right in terms of weight and support.

I really like the Clifton Edge. They work really well for a big guy like me (6'2", 320lbs). My first entry into Hokas were the Bondi line, so it was a bit of an adjustment to the Clifton. One thing: they could have could some rubber on the outsole. I've had them about 3 weeks and the outsole is wearing down pretty bad at the forefoot.

Use this for easy runs around the neighborhood. Nice and soft. I usually wear a stability shoe but these are neutral and pretty comfortable. Love them and will look for trail shoes. Only issue a little that on instep, but I assume it will stretch over time.

If you read everyone's reviews, they are not inaccurate about the top being a little stiff but personally doesn't bother me enough when I'm actually running plus you feel like flying rather than running in these shoes. Completely recommend for running casually!

What a great and awesome comfort, cushioning, and stability in these pair of shoes. They gave me more speed during my trining (5k,10k,15k,21k).

I switched over to the Clifton Edge from Altra Torins. Whatever changes Altra made really ruined that shoe to me. Saw the reviews on the Edge and started giving them a try. I do around 60 Miles a week and so far these have held up great. Time for another pair to put In the rotation. I do miss the big toe box and the 5mm drop from the zero drop was not difficult to adjust to. I am a mid-foot striker and these shoes seem to absorb everything very well. Will be interesting to see how long they last. Currently at 230 miles and all is well.

I use this shoe for any distance..it's light and very responsive. The only knock would be i wish they were just a bit more durable.

I've recently got back into running and I haven't really ran consistently since playing collegiate baseball. I wanted something light but also supportive. The Clifton Edge is perfect for that. I love that it has a wider sole to give you that stability but also has great responsiveness. I have used them for tempo sessions and long slow runs. The work great for both. They seem like they will be durable as well but I've only had them a little over a month. I couldn't be more happy with them.

I have been running on the Rincon for a few months and decided to try more squish. The Clifton Edge didn't disappoint. I admit the upper is not perfect, however the ride is very pleasant. Performs well running down steep hills and not bad on the inclines. I find myself looking toward these more than my Rincons lately.
